I was traveling on my aerodactyl when I saw something. God was I angry. Someone had trapped a bunch of pokemon in a cage. I immediately contacted the police station and the ranger nearby from my poke gear given by G-corp. After phones were realeased poke gear is no longer used but defense teams of this world still preferred it as poke gear were hard to track.
They were on there way but till then I had to stop them somehow. But revealing my location to the hunters would not be a smart move. I decided to gather evidience instead and hid in a nearby tree and viewed the spot through binoculars. I could fight but can't risk innocent pokemon getting injured can we. In another cage were

'Shit I want that Meowth'
"Hey boss, lets sell this talking mewoth too, will fetch us quiet a price." One of the goons said.
"Yeah will fetch us some good cash." The boss said.
"Boss is Madame Maxine really someone we can trust. What if she takes the pokemon and does not give our payment."
"Of course she is not trustable. But for this reason alone I have collected serious amount of dirt on her, if she evades giving money we can just ruin her completely." The boss crackled.
"You see this, here are all the clients who have previously bought and currently want to buy from us. They tried to keep it anonymous but its not really a hidden thing is it. Rich buying rare exotic pokemon from us to show off." The boss said while waving the phone at my face.
"Go poliwag." I said quietly.
"Hypnosis." I said. Everyone fell asleep. Seriously, I don't even know why people bother fighting when they can get these criminals to sleep with moves like hypnosis, sing or sleep powder.
I went and tied them up pretty tight and had Nelly check them for any weapon. There were many but I took them all and stored them away from them at least.
They certainly brought good weapon I have to say. I checked there information and 300 clients. Oh these suckers deserve to die.
Soon the officers and pokemon rangers arrived. I was suprised to see the orange league leader Drake too arrive with them. They sure were suprised to see all of them already sleeping. So anyway...
All the pokemon captured were immediately sent to pokemon centre to run test on them before they can be released back in the wild.
The only three left were Jessy, James and Mewoth. Jessy and James were no longer wearing team rocket uniform anymore but normal civillian clothes but them being in team rocket was still registered and they have done many thievery too.
They too were immediately detained, it looks like they too were involved in the heist but because of a disagreement with there boss they were imprisoned by him as a punishment.
Looks like mewoth is going to be sent in the rehab facility were the pokemon of the evil teams like team rocket etc or pokemon hunters like hunter J are sent so that they can regain there original nature and calm down. If it is felt that they are good enough they would be sent back to wild.
Though most are unable to regain there normalcy. And mewoth though with high potential is not strong enough for battling due to insufficient training. It will be difficult for him to survive.
I went near Officer Jenny. "Officer Jenny, is it possible for me to adopt this mewoth as my own pokemon."
"Um it's not impossible but..." Jenny said looking worried.
"Why not let our champion adopt him Officer Jenny. It would be way better for this mewoth after all." Drake said.
"Well fine. You are part of the league anyway. Okay, I will send you the adoption papers just fax the league the papers back with your signature and this mewoth will officially be your." Jenny said with a smile.
I nodded at that.
Three days later-
Even with Jenny suggestion for the papers to ensure that my travel does not stop I still decided to wait for the adoption papers. Today finally the adoption was completed. I was about to leave after retrieving mewoth pokeball but stopped on my way.
Drake was standing there and from the looks of it, it looked like he was waiting for me.
"Miss Regina, good to see you again. I heard you are also challenging the orange league gyms." Drake asked.
"Well yeah, thought it would be interesting, the gym leaders are great battlers." I said nonchalantly.
"Well I did hear from Cissy that she used her strongest two pokemon but lost. I was kinda evious though that she got to battle our new champion." Drake said with a chuckle.
"Well once my badge collection is complete, I will come to battle you anyway." I said with a shrug.
"Though I had a favour to ask." I said with a smile.
"What favour." Drake asked, one eyebrow raised.
"Well you see, I wish for you to use your strongest team and not the ususal one you use with the challengers." I said with a smile. Drake nodded at that.
"Well that was just what I wanted too. I was gonna ask you that anyway, but looks like our view matches." Drake.
"Guess so. Also do you perhaps know of any strong trainers who's potential are good enough to become elite four." I asked. Drake was also part of the league only so he knew what was going on. He thought for a while before he clicked his fingers. Like he remembered something.
"There is a strong trainer in Finnana island, its near Navel island, one of Orange island gyms. You can see it in the orange map which must have been fed to into your phone upon registring for orange league." Blake said.
I checked the map and it indeed was quite close to Navel island. Good then, Two birds in one stone huh.
"Thankyou for the information, League is really eating me out for not finding the last elite four you see." I said with a sweatdrop.
"I can understand, when one of my gym leader retire then I too am presured to find a replacement as soon as possible." Drake said.
I nodded at that. I mean the usual route is to see the trainers ranking in each region but none were upto the elite standards really. So yeah.... Forced to find strong trainers myself.
We talked a bit more before I left for Finana Island on aerodactyl.
