"Where did you catch a scyther. Make me wish to catch one too." Ash said.
"Oh I got it in trade. You remember the three caterpie babies who had become butterfree. So yeah I traded them to good trainers." I said.
"But is trading really good." Ash asked concerned.
"Its not a bad thing. Plus I ensured they were in good hands." I said.
"Who did you trade them to. If you don't mind sharing." Tracy asked.
"I got my scyther from Aaron, Shinoh bug type elite four." I said. There was a pause. Everyone just blinked trying to process it before screamin ehhh.
"You traded with a elite four." Misty asked shocked.
"Well he was impressed with my butterfree performance in the league battle plus he did not have a butterfly pokemon so..." I said with a shrug.
"What about the other two." Ash asked still shocked.
"Well the rest were traded to daisy and violet." I said with a smile.
"What." Everyone screamed again.
"You mean my sisters. But why?" Misty asked.
"Well Daisy dream of being pokemon performer and Lily pokemon coordinator and both were impressed with the butterfree so they asked for a trade." I said.
"They do. But what about the gym." Misty asked concerned.
"Well Violet will leave on her journey next year, and daisy the year after. They knew you dreamed of becoming a water pokemon master and so hope you will be strong enough to inherit the gym." I said with a shrug.
"Wait, why did they not tell me and told you instead." Misty demanded.
"Well they needed to tell me why they wanted to trade, otherwise I would not have traded the butterfree to them. Unless I can ensure that the two butterfree will not be traded again and remain happy, how can I trade." I said, plus they were nurse joy approved too so yeah.
Misty was in a dilemma. Does she likes ash. She was reluctant to leave him after all. Plus she though more about leaving ash than leaving both ash and brock so it can't be a friend type of liek but a crush one.
"Hey isn't it good for you. You are getting a chance to fulfill your dream and if things go well then in a few years you could be an elite four or a champion too." I said.
"Aren't you the champion." Misty asked. Just for a year but can't say that can we.
"Who knows the future." I said with a shrug.
We headed back to pokemon centre but I could say Misty needed time to think. Damn I guess I need to call Daisy and Violet in advance and apologize to them for my blunder.
Next day-
Dang am I lucky. So both did not really mind at all. Rather I actually made it easier for them as they did not really plan to tell Misty till Daisy left. Well guess it can just be summed up as sibling dynamics huh. Can't know, I was the only child in my past and this life.
The moment I got my crystal statue I couriered it to mom. Had to pay extra as it was a delicate thing but who cares. Mom was so impressed with the statue that she also ordered one for herself, hers was venasaur obviously.
I headed to Mikan Island on Aerodactyl cause I am drowning in serious debt with Nelly and I need to clear it fast if I need more cool item from the system shop. And one way to earn is to challenge orange league. Honestly I am not really interested in the games but I am interested in challenging Blake though. He was in the top 15 strongest trainer for the coronation cup last year after all. That would be really cool. Plus as I am the champion maybe I can convince him to use his full strength and challenge me.
I landed on mikan island and immediately registered for the orange league. First stop, Mikan gym.
I headed in to see gym leader Cissy standing there. Good thing I don't have to deal with her little brother pranks really.
"Oh miss champion, Its an honour that you want to challenge our gym." Cissy said with a smile though I could see she was exited. So convincing heer should not be that difficult.
"Actually I do want to challenge the gym but instead of the regular games could we have a battle instead. I have heard about your strength so..." I said.
She smiled at that. "You are recognized by the league, you pass our criteria for strong trainers, your challenge was going to be a battle anyway."
I just chuckled at that. Well that's a relief. Its a two pokemon battle, you ready. I nodded at that.
"Go kingdra." Cissy said.
