The Lord said to Moses, "On the first day of the seventh month, gather the people for a sacred assembly. Do no regular work—it is a day of trumpet blasts, a time to remember and rejoice before Me.
Offer a burnt sacrifice of one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect. With the bull, bring a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths; and with each lamb, one-tenth. Also, include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for yourselves. These are to be added to the regular daily and monthly offerings with their grain and drink offerings, all as a pleasing aroma to the Lord."
Then the Lord continued, "On the tenth day of this same seventh month, hold another sacred assembly. Humble yourselves and do no work. Present to Me a burnt offering—one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect. With each, bring their proper grain offerings: three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths for the ram, and one-tenth for each lamb, all mixed with oil. Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering for atonement and the regular daily offerings."
The Lord said further, "On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, begin a festival to Me. Celebrate for seven days, doing no regular work on the first day. On that day, present thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old without defect. With each bull bring three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil; with each ram, two-tenths; and with each lamb, one-tenth. Also, offer one male goat as a sin offering each day."
The Lord gave Moses detailed instruction for every day of the feast:
On the second day, offer twelve bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs, all without defect, along with their proper grain and drink offerings. Include one male goat as a sin offering.
On the third day, offer eleven bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs, with their grain and drink offerings and one male goat for atonement.
On the fourth day, offer ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs, with their offerings, plus one male goat for sin.
On the fifth day, offer nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs, with their proper offerings, plus one male goat.
On the sixth day, offer eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs, with their offerings, plus one male goat.
On the seventh day, offer seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs, with their offerings, plus one male goat for atonement.
Then the Lord said, "On the eighth day, hold a solemn assembly and do no regular work. Present one bull, one ram, and seven male lambs, all without defect, with their proper grain and drink offerings, and one male goat as a sin offering."
"These offerings," said the Lord, "are in addition to your vows, freewill offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings, and fellowship offerings that you choose to present at your appointed times."
So Moses told the Israelites everything the Lord had commanded him.
