Aries was busy training, preparing herself for the upcoming Luna Selection Rites. She had no doubt the Queen Mother would do everything in her power to make sure it happened and Aries intended to make sure of it as well.
She had already met with the royal court councils and high officials, all of whom supported her as the kingdom's future Luna.
"Let's see if you'll still be stubborn, Alaric," she murmured, loosing another arrow.
It struck the bull's-eye dead center. All her life she had prepared to become the kingdom's Luna and Alpha Queen. No woman was going to take that away from her. She had gotten rid of her own twin, removing another weak and unknown woman would be nothing in comparison.
"My Lady, the Alpha King left early at dawn with Lady Ayesha to train in the forest," Ria reported. Instantly, Aries's good mood soured.
She had Marie's face, so why wouldn't Alaric look at her the way he had looked at Marie all those years ago?
