"I need you to send me to the East Borough."

The beautiful lady murmured softly.

Mr. A, wearing a hooded robe, nodded slightly. A transparent and blurry book quickly appeared before him, accompanied by a distant and ethereal chant:

"I come, I see, I record."

The pages flipped rapidly, quickly stopping on one page, then emitting a light blue and illusory glow.

These rays of light instantly penetrated the lady's figure, making her quickly blur, then become invisible, disappearing from the hall.

Having done all this, Mr. A began to kneel before the altar, closing his eyes in prayer:

"Lord Who Created Everything, the Master behind the Curtain of Shadows, the Degenerate Nature of all living beings."

"Your devout believer prays to You."

"I Pray for Your descent."

In the hidden space, Bernadette frowned slightly, looking at the place where Despair Lady had left, and said in a voice that betrayed no emotion:

"Demoness of Despair. She's going to the East Borough to create a large-scale disaster."

Leyton nodded lightly and said:

"They want to use this to cover up some things and complete a certain plan, and doing so just happens to meet the conditions for offering sacrifices to the Evil God."

"The Aurora Order has become the best pawn. Even if they know they are being used, for the descent of the True Creator, they will not refuse."

Bernadette turned to look at Leyton, her gaze lingering slightly. After a moment of silence, she spoke:

"Are you trying to tell me that even if there wasn't this True Creator descent event planned by the Aurora Order, the inevitable disaster would still descend, right?"

"Are you saying this to reassure me, or to reassure yourself?"

"Don't you feel a sense of detachment in yourself? A detachment similar to that between sensibility and rationality."

Leyton frowned slightly and sighed:

"Perhaps the White Tower Pathway is inherently good at thinking from a rational perspective!"

A clumsy excuse, one that even I can't fool myself with. Perhaps my divinity has already begun to overwhelm my humanity, but the divine me is still me, which is why I've adapted so naturally.

Bernadette turned her gaze away, not commenting on it.

East Borough, a secluded and deserted alley corner.

The figure of Despair Lady quickly appeared.

She walked out of the alley and looked up at the sky. The afternoon sun was obscured by thick clouds and fog, appearing pale and dim.

There was also some not-too-dense light yellow fog, floating everywhere in Backlund, carrying a slightly choking smell, cold and damp.

What a pity, it hasn't even reached the worst of the smog yet... She sighed slightly in her heart, taking slow steps forward, as if wandering in an ocean of fog.

Where she passed, the fog imperceptibly thickened slightly, even taking on a hint of iron-black.

"Let despair spread throughout this City. Such opportunities are rare. Perhaps I can completely digest the remaining Beyonder potion on me."

She murmured softly, walking down a street.

Behind her, people began to cough violently, coughing uncontrollably, coughing until they fell to the ground...

The surrounding commoners began to panic, wanting to retreat and get away from here, but the next moment, they too covered their throats and began to cough uncontrollably, coughing until they couldn't breathe.

Iron-black and light yellow smog descended upon the entire East Borough, Dock District, and factory areas, and began to continuously spread throughout all of Backlund.

"Xio, I have a very uneasy feeling."

In the rented house, Fors looked at her friend Xio beside her, her expression troubled.

Xio frowned, looked out the window, and asked in confusion:

"Fors, is the smog outside the window a bit worse, and the color a bit strange?"

Fors turned to look, and what met her eyes was fog so thick that visibility was blurred beyond ten meters, and it was tinged with an eerie light yellow and iron-black hue.

A spiritual warning appeared without warning, and Fors instinctively closed the window in front of her.

She then turned to look elsewhere, quickly walked over, and closed all the doors and windows one by one.

Having done all this, she said in a deep voice:

"This fog gives me a very bad premonition."

In the hall where Mr. A was summoning the True Creator.

Leyton tilted his head slightly, then raised his hand, following the guidance of his spiritual intuition, and opened a Door in mid-air. He then grasped something like an infant's umbilical cord from within it.

It was full of Fallen, foul aura and strong, unwilling resentment.

Just holding it in his hand, Leyton felt the cries of infants echoing in his ears, stinging his nerves and polluting his mind.

"This is? Something belonging to the True Creator?"

Bernadette frowned slightly. The strange umbilical cord in his hand was too evil. Her intuition even stopped her from using Eyes of Mystery Prying to investigate.

"The umbilical cord of a True Creator's offspring that descended in Tingen."

"Under the interference of 0-08, Ince Zangwill lost it, and I just happened to accidentally pick it up."

Leyton explained softly, then threw the evil infant umbilical cord in his hand forward, towards the altar.

The Concealment barrier seemed not to exist before it, easily passing through and falling directly onto the altar.

Buzz!

A sharp buzzing sound suddenly rang out, like pouring a ladle of cold water into hot oil. The True Creator's aura in the altar shook violently, surrounded by layers of light.

"Offer your lives for the Master's descent."

Mr. A's voice suddenly rang out.

Then came the sound of bodies falling to the ground. The smell of decaying flesh spread through the hall. Mr. A sacrificed the few attendants who remained there.

Their skin quickly shriveled, tightly wrapping their bones, like weathered corpses.

Mr. A's tall, thin figure stood before the altar. He removed his hood, revealing a face so beautiful it was demonic.

Then, his chest, abdomen, shoulders, and thighs all had flesh wriggling, appearing viscous and disgusting.

Within the light surrounding him, transparent, illusory figures were filled with emotions of numbness, despair, pain, and suppression.

The changes here seemed to resonate with the True Creator in a distant, unknown place. Terrifying, magnificent power, full of a Fallen aura, enveloped an unstoppable will, tearing through layers of barriers and descending here.

Above the entire hall, beams of light penetrated the void, swiftly submerging into the altar along the stone pillars, floor, and air, which were covered with symbolic patterns and magical markings.

The next moment, a figure in a black double-breasted long formal suit entered through the wall, breaking into this hall.

Klein was stunned for two seconds. Having just escaped from Ince Zangwill with the help of Mr. Azik, he was brought by the Master Key to this clearly evil ritual site.

Mr. A's pupils were tinged with blood, and his cold eyes, filled with extreme madness, coldly swept over Klein.

The strange environment, Mr. A's madness, and the terrifying ritual in progress, all stimulated Klein's nerves.

The strong sense of crisis left him no time for much thought. Following his intuition, he pulled out the revolver tucked into his waist and fired continuously.

In his haste, he also threw out an ancient-looking brass key.

"No problem..." Bernadette murmured in confusion.

She meant that Klein's sudden intrusion and subconscious destructive behavior showed no signs of unexpected interference throughout the process.

Leyton did not listen carefully to Bernadette's words. That Master Key, containing Mr. Door's curse, could not be thrown into the altar.

His figure instantly became transparent, as if he had transformed into a statue formed by countless starlight.

The statue shattered, and brilliant starlight surged forward, rushing out of the Concealment, isolated space, intercepting the ancient-looking Master Key in mid-air.

The scattered starlight in the air began to re-converge. Before Leyton's figure could fully reveal itself, an unexpected coincidence occurred.

A demon-breaking bullet with a brass-colored trail just happened to hit the Master Key, which was intercepted by the starlight.

Driven by the bullet, the Master Key broke free from the starlight's interception and fell towards the layers of light on the altar.

A transparent, illusory book appeared before Mr. A, and a chanting-like voice transmitted into everyone's mind:

"I came, I saw, I record."

Time around them seemed to freeze for a moment. A huge, illusory, scaleless Snake of Fate, formed by countless intricate mercury-colored symbols connected one after another, appeared in the sky.

This giant snake was covered in dense patterns and symbols, forming interconnected rotating wheels, each surrounded by different markings.

Its eyes were blood-red and cold, looking down indifferently at everything below.

The next moment, it moved its head, opened its crimson maw, and gently bit its own tail.

The instant head and tail connected, countless illusory rivers seemed to converge around them, evolving into a blurry, not-quite-real, slowly rotating giant wheel.

Everything around them seemed to rewind, returning to before the demon-breaking bullet hit the Master Key.

The next instant, an invisible giant hand intercepted all the bullets in the air, crumpled them into a ball of iron filings, and then let them fall straight to the ground.

Leyton's figure re-converged from within the scattered starlight, holding the ancient-looking Master Key in his hand, and murmured to himself:

"Can the Scribe even record the Snake of Fate's reset? Is he really Mr. A?"

"This is not a Beyonder ability from something recorded, but a reset personally performed by Ouroboros. Mr. A is just a medium."

Bernadette also walked out of the space isolated by the Concealment. Her gaze was cold as she looked at Klein, seemingly guarding against any unexpected moves from him.

"Uh... I can explain. That was just an accident... Really!"

Klein put away his revolver again, speaking awkwardly.
