Kiara cursed as the call failed to connect for the third time. She had been dialing Nina's number, but it kept saying not reachable.
She had been restless since she came back from the airport. She just hopes her friend is safe and Marcus has not done anything to her and then destroyed her phone so she won't be reachable.
She walked down from their apartment to downstairs. She wanted to know if eventually Nina somehow managed to escape from Marcus and, in the process, lost her phone.
She wanted to check outside the gate to know if Nina was there, unable to enter because she can't reach her (Kiara) on the phone to let her in.
However, when she opened the gate, instead of Nina, whom she expected, she bumped into Philip.
"Mr. Philip, why are you here?" That was what escaped from her mouth instantly.
"I thought by now you guys would have been in the Bahamas. What happened? Has she not fully recovered?" Philip asked with concern. He was referring to Nina.
