"How dare a big, clumsy oaf like you, a useless piece of trash who can't even stand still, call yourself a Marine Vice Admiral? Go back to Elbaf and sell dried fish! Kakakaka! "
A milky-white, ant-like humanoid monster flew out of the dense forest, speeding toward Naitar and taunting him loudly.
"You dare insult a noble Giant—"
Naitar's face turned ashen. He roared in a fit of rage, ignoring the searing pain in his chest. He grabbed his fallen double-edged greatsword and got back on his feet.
The giant warrior took heavy, thunderous steps on the soft sand as he ran forward. His eyes locked on his airborne target, and he raised his greatsword with all his might, gathering all of his power.
"I may not be as strong as Dorry and Brogy, and I can't unleash the full power of this technique on my own, but this is more than enough to deal with you!"
"Taste the greatest spear of the Giants, a legend of Elbaf! Hakoku!!!"
With a bellowing roar, Naitar gripped his sword with both hands and swung it with all his might.
Boom!
A blinding white light erupted. The air in front of him was compressed into a solid mass by the terrifying power, creating a visible circular shockwave.
"What?!"
Alux's eyes widened. He watched the massive circular shockwave sweep toward him like a mountain tsunami. The intense feeling of danger made him shiver uncontrollably.
"Damn it! How can a mere giant unleash an attack of this magnitude... If I'm hit, the consequences will be unimaginable!"
Rumble! Rumble!
The next second, the giant circular shockwave destroyed everything in its path, tearing through the dense forest and shredding countless giant trees.
After a while, the blinding white ball of light gradually faded.
A massive cloud of dust rose up and covered the ground. A semicircular ravine, several hundred meters long and three or four meters wide and seven or eight meters deep, stretched from the coast into the forest.
Everyone who saw this was stunned, their mouths agape. They could hardly believe what they were seeing.
Crack!
Suddenly, a crack appeared on Naitar's sword. The crack quickly spread, and the sword snapped in half. The upper half fell into the sand.
"Huff... Huff..."
Naitar was drenched in sweat and breathing heavily, falling to one knee.
It seemed that unleashing that "Hakoku" on his own was too much for him to handle.
"Yay! Yes, yes, yes!"
"Woohoo! He killed that monster in one hit! He's incredible!"
"I never thought Elbaf would have such a powerful technique! You're amazing, Vice Admiral Naitar!"
"With Vice Admiral Naitar here, maybe we don't even need reinforcements from Marine Headquarters to quell this riot!"
"..."
Cheers erupted. Everyone hugged each other in celebration.
"I never thought Elbaf had such a powerful move. I underestimated you!"
Suddenly, a familiar voice came from the sky. Naitar's expression changed, and he looked up to see a humanoid monster covered in milky-white chitin hovering hundreds of meters above, its four membranous wings flapping rapidly.
"Vice Admiral Naitar, was it? Just a tip for you: next time, be a little faster and more accurate with your attack. Otherwise, you could kill a large Sea King, and it still wouldn't do any good!"
With that, Alux cackled and dove down like an arrow. Just as Naitar got to his feet to defend himself, Alux was already in front of him.
"Flying Ant Leg!"
A fast, fierce kick swept out like a steel whip, striking Naitar in the face with a loud thud and creating a visible shockwave.
"Waaah!"
Naitar coughed up blood and fell backward, hitting the ground hard and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Vice Admiral Naitar!"
"How can this be?!"
"That powerful attack missed!"
"..."
The onlookers howled in despair, their joy turning into absolute shock.
"What incredible power!"
Alux landed in front of Naitar, closed his eyes, and savored his newfound strength. "I have to thank you, Ganshi! Thank you for making my pain worthwhile and giving me such immense power!"
"My suffering created who I am today. I will remember the pain you gave me for the rest of my life, Ganshi! Ganshi!! GANSHI!!!"
"GANSHI—!!!!"
Alux's voice grew from a low mumble to a bestial roar. The huge sound wave rippled outward, lifting a layer of sand from the ground.
Boom!
The next moment, he faced the port and let out a thundering roar, his feet smashing the ground. The force from the impact propelled him forward like a cannonball.
"That damn monster!"
A Marine officer's face contorted with rage. He punched a sandbag and roared, "Blunderbusses! Cannons! Everyone, fire! Kill that monster! Kill that monster!"
Bang, bang, bang... bang, bang, bang...
Boom, boom, boom... boom, boom, boom...
In an instant, gunfire and cannon fire erupted. A barrage of bullets and cannonballs rained down like a storm.
As the protectors of a secret base, the Marines here were equipped with the best gear. They had all sorts of large-caliber firearms and cannons, and even the warships docked at the port opened fire on Alux.
However, Alux endured the Marines' fierce onslaught. The milky-white chitinous shell on his body was like an impenetrable god-tier armor. He even punched back a cannonball fired by a Marine warship's triple-barreled main gun, sending it back into the port and causing a massive explosion.
A moment later, Alux broke through the Marine ranks and began to destroy the port.
Crash!
Alux picked up an eight-pound cannon and threw it dozens of meters away. It smashed into a three-story building, burying the surrounding Marines under a pile of bricks and rubble.
"Blugori, get him!"
Suddenly, a group of giant, light-blue and dark-blue creatures with a skull for a head appeared. They held double-bladed axes and charged fiercely at Alux from all sides.
These ferocious creatures, renowned as "Sea Fighters," were powerful enough to hunt down giant Sea Kings.
"Get lost!"
Alux's bloodshot eyes glowed. His body was covered in blood. He grabbed a Blugori, slammed it to the ground, and then tore it in half by grabbing its head with one hand and its leg with the other.
He then charged into the group of Blugori, punching and kicking them and killing or injuring more than a dozen of them in a short amount of time.
