Meanwhile, at the Faust mansion, Gelda saw Liebe watching out the window.
"Waiting for Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa again, I guess…" she murmured softly.
Looking closer, she saw tears streaming down Liebe's face, even as he ate chocolate donuts drenched in dark chocolate sauce from Yummy Tummy.
"Why are you crying?" Gelda asked gently.
Liebe wiped his eyes and said,
"What? I… I don't know why I started tearing up."
Gelda walked over and wiped his tears with a tissue.
"Do you miss Mommy that much?" she asked.
Liebe looked down.
"I don't know… but right now, I miss Grandpa. I wanted to share my donuts with him."
Gelda smiled sadly and said,
"Your Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa will be back soon. I'm sure of it. Now—where are Licht, Alysa, and Elizabeth? Aren't they supposed to be with you?"
Liebe said quietly,
"I don't know."
"Wait here. I'll find those two idiots," Gelda said as she walked off.
After searching for a while, Gelda finally found them.
"Come here, you three!" she called.
Elizabeth turned around.
"Elizabeth—what are you three doing?" Gelda asked.
Elizabeth replied,
"We were eating donuts together and watching the Ulsarius play. Then we wanted to join them in the rain. But… Liebe suddenly started tearing up. Even he didn't know why. We didn't know what to say either… so we thought maybe we should just leave him be."
Licht clung to Gelda's uniform and whispered,
"What happened to Liebe? When will he be back to how he was?"
Gelda knelt down and sighed,
"I don't know… I wish I did. But I do know this—when all of this is over, we all deserve a vacation."
Meanwhile, at the eastern border, Lilith arrived.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
Sujibur pointed to a viewing device.
"Ma'am, take a look. These are the Oculus of Distance."
"Give it to me," Lilith said.
She looked through the device. A moment passed.
Her eyes widened.
"No… it can't be. It simply isn't possible… How can it be…?"
