He jumped out of range, skidding backward.
The demon smirked.

But Renji's eyes sharpened.

He gripped his sword.

The blade spun through the air like a bolt of silver, slicing into the Berserker Troll's chest, pinning it mid-roar.

Renji vanished.
The demon grinned and raised his guard.

A massive sphere of flame launched at the demon.

The demon staggered, coughing black mist before collapsing to his knees.
The troll, pierced by Renji's earlier throw, twitched once—and fell dead.
