Chapter 124 - Ending it

CHIARA

Men who killed legends become legends. How about a crazy woman for a change? Because I was going to kill that motherfucker, today. One way or another. It's either his blood or mine that was going to paint the floor red.

I stepped on the gas. Pressed dialed on the phone and kept it on speaker phone.

"Xander, times up." I said.

"Shit! How bad?"

"Lethal."

"Where?"

"At the crib. Notify them."

"Got it, will catch the road soon."

"Thank you Xander. For everything."

"Chichi,"

"Yes?"

"Keep breathing. Don't you fucking dare to stop."

I hung the call, breathing out. I'd prepared for this day for years, but nothing could've prepared me for the rage that was consuming me as the distance kept closing in. It felt like everything that I kept in finally found its way out and came crushing hard. I'd die, but not before I killed him.

I arrived at the mansion and parked the car a distance away. I stepped out of the car, heart palpitating and my veins pulsating with such furious force. I stared at the gates. The same big gates that hoarded my sufferings and pain for years. I rechecked every weapon on me.

I then walked to the back of the car, carried a bazooka, and came to place it on the roof of the car. Blood thrummed in my veins. When I was done with Antonio, even these walls wouldn't be standing as well.

I launched the rocket, and it flew out in speed. The sound of it deafening in the silent air before the missile pierced the gates and exploded them into a mess of hanging and collapsing wrecked metals. The alarm went off instantly. I shoved the bazooka in the back seat and sat in the car.

I drove through the blast-ridden gates and rolled down the window. Taking out the two-armed, wide-eyed guards outside their control booth. And the other one who was shouting on a walkie-talkie, a few steps on the driveway.

The drive to the lawn was eerily calm apart from the blaring alarms. I parked at the entrance, my heart pounding in my chest and anger clouding my vision. Luca had Marco on his knees and a gun pressed to his temple. Otherwise, I would've blown them as well. Marco's face was almost unrecognizable with the purple bruises parched with blood. He looked at me with bloodshot eyes and my heart squeezed. My eyes are burning.

There were a number of guards pointing their guns at me. My chest rose and fell as I scanned them. I was circled. "Hey, sis." Luca's grin riled me up so much that I wished I could soar at him and rip his throat out. How are we sharing blood, but nothing alike would never stop leaving me disgusted. I placed the guns down and kicked them to the guards, raising my hands up.

"No. Nope. Check her up." He ordered. One of the guards approached me and I seized him up with a cocked head but didn't move. He stepped in and checked everywhere, took all of my knives and rendered me useless. Fuck.

"Boom." I whispered when he reached my chest. He jumped back, eyes wide like saucers. I couldn't help but smirk at Luca. "Fucking pussy!" Luca shot him in the head and his body collapsed.

"Where is Mamma?" I asked.

"Now, why are you in a rush, sis?"

"Clearly we're not here to party."

"Right. My papa is waiting for you in his study. Don't try anything stupid or you know what'll happen." He grinned at me. I clenched my hands, images running in my mind. Fear of what state Mamma was in consumed me.

One of the guards nudged me on my shoulder, causing me to stumble forward. I huffed, standing upright. "If anything happened to our mother, I'm going to kill you myself, Luca." I glared at him as we walked inside the mansion. "I'll be waiting, big sis." He waved at me.

The temperature dropped lower the moment I walked past the hell doors. "This way." The tough looking guard pushed me again with his gun and my blood spiked up. He was closely behind me.

I fisted my hands into balls and swiftly turned. My knuckles connected with his jaw, sending him staggering to the wall. He started to shoot. My hands wrapped around his and guided the gun shooting to the ceiling aimlessly. I twisted his wrist and the gun dropped. He grabbed me by my hair, slammed me to the wall before I could reach for it. I groaned, feeling my shoulder wound opening up.

"Stand down." His face glowered at mine, his hand wrapped around my neck, making it hard for me to breathe.

I stared right back, "Make me." He pulled me up by my throat. I smirked. Wrong fucking move. I grabbed his arm which was still around my neck, twisted my head around with it, grinding my teeth, and tossed him over my shoulder. I plopped on top of him, grabbed his head and twisted it to the side before he could make a move. The snap resonated in the hall.

My eyes snapped to the corner end of the hall. Footsteps were approaching so I picked the gun on the floor and pressed my back against the wall, waiting. My chest thundered and the pain on my shoulder was killing me. I shot the first man that walked out of the corner in the head. I ducked just in time for a bullet to hit the wall behind me, causing remnants of sand falling over my face.

I shot the standing guy's feet and then on his chest. The third guy pulled me by my ankle, my back hit the ground, and I shot continuously at him. His blood painted my face, and I slid to the side just in time for his body to collapse beside me.

I stood up, breathing raggedly. Blood soaked me, I wiped my eyes to get my vision back, picked another gun and moved forward, holding it down low but steady. Heart drumming in my throat. I furrowed. Weirdly there were no other guards outside Antonio's office.

I pushed the door open, and my heart dropped. My mother was on her knees, sobbing in silence and the man who claimed to love her for years, held a gun against her head. There was a sheer terror on her bruised face. I sucked in a sharp breath and huffed furiously. Tears pooled in my eyes. He'd beaten her. I could only imagine what else the monster did to her. My hand shook as I gripped the gun until my knuckles turned white.

I faced him, "You wanted me. I'm here. Leave my mother alone." His eyes snapped at me. His face was red, veins popped on his forehead. He looked like he had many sleepless nights. Dark circled eyes, red and empty. "You fucking came at last." The corner of his lips curled.

He wasn't himself. I didn't need a torch to see that. He had to not be. His reputation was ruined. His power was stripped off. And his assets were all confiscated after a series of scandals about him clouded the entire world for weeks. He was charged with RICO as well. He was reduced into nothingness, and he couldn't live with that, clearly. Justice found him at last. And now it was my turn to clear him off this world. "Let my mother go." I took a calculative step forward.

He pressed the gun harder on her head and breath left my lung. "Stay where the fuck you are, Chiara, or I'll deform her brain." I knew he could, and it wasn't an empty threat. So, I stayed rooted on my spot. Gunshots rang outside, making all three of us snap to the sound. It was happening.

Antonio grabbed my mother by her neck and made her stand in front of him. The gun pressed to her temple. She was shaking in tears. "Please don't do this Antonio. Please." She pleaded.

"Shut the fuck up!" He gripped her hard around the neck causing her to choke and her eyes rolling back. "NO!" I moved without thinking and a bullet rang in the room. I held my breath, staring at them with wide eyes. Tears falling down none stop. The world crashed, time stopped and so did my pounding heart in one go.
