CARMELO
"Are you kidding me? Relax your fingers and gently massage the scalp. Gently, Melo, not like you are scrubbing the damn floor." She said sternly not knowing I was doing it purposefully. "Okay, like this?" I liked to rile her up. She looked adorable in that state. "Fuck! Stop it! Get your hands off me and your ass out of here!" She stood abruptly from the bathtub and pushed me away.
My jaws hurt as I laughed while she shot me a deadly glare. Form trickled down her face and body while she cursed wiping her eyes. I volunteered to wash her hair this morning after fucking her senselessly in the shower. I waited long enough. And then she took the reins. And I was so overjoyed to let her have her way with me. I'll do it again if she asks me to. She looked ethereal and powerful on top of me. Like a damn Queen that she was. My Queen.
"I'm sorry, tesoro. I promise to do it right this time." I pouted. I couldn't help it if my heart wanted to mess around with her. "No. Leave!" She pointed at the bathroom exit. She looked funny in her thong with forms falling down her perfect body. "Okay." I snorted and washed my hand on a sink before finally leaving her at peace. God, I loved this woman so much.
I let the towel drop to the floor and walked to the closet butt naked. As much as I wanted to spend the day with her, I had to go to work. Thousands of people were looking up to me. I couldn't let their hopes for me go down. However, the moment I was done with work, I was flying back like a sonic. My woman—No. My fiancée would be home, waiting for me.
I wore a royal blue suit, picked a corresponding tie and stood before the full-length mirror, tying it. Chiara's ringtone reached me. I walked out of the closet and watched if she was done in the shower. She wasn't.
I grabbed her phone from her nightstand. It was an unknown number. I frowned. She seemed to have a lot of these nowadays. I was about to pick it up, but it got disconnected. I sighed wanting to return it when it suddenly rang again in my hand. I looked at the shut door, the water was still running. I swiped the button and pressed the phone to my ear.
"Who is this?" I asked. "Oh, it must be you or should I call you brother-in-law now?" My frown deepened and I pulled the phone back to look at the screen before pressing it back to my ear. "Who. Is. This?" The person on the other end laughed. "Whoa, whoa, calm down now, brother-in-law."
"What do you want?" His voice was getting on my nerves. I might have an inkling about his identity. "It's good that you have the phone. I'm sending you a text. Make sure you read it." He hung the call.
I stared at the phone and soon it pinged with a text like he said. My eyes grew large in size as I kept reading it, and my heart shattered into a million pieces. My hands began to shake but then the bastard called again. I swallowed the bile in my throat and picked it up. "Put the phone on speaker." I did just like he said. Just in time for Chiara to exit the bathroom, clutching on her towel.
I looked at her and couldn't hold in the tears. "Hey, sis. Long time no see." Her feet halted by the door, eyes widened. "Luca." She murmured. "Sis. You are such a bad person. How could you leave us for this long?" The so-called Luca was amused. Unlike how my inside was getting torn and ripped apart in slow motion. "Luca, don't do this. Please." She pleaded with teary eyes.
"Too late. I already told him everything. I told him how much of a bitch you actually are. Acting like you loved him when you are there to use him. Am I wrong, sister?" Her mouth fell open, and tears streamed down her cheeks. "Don't." She pleaded.
"Cut this love bullshit sister. You approached that man with only one intention. Using him for your own selfish reasons, you ungrateful little bitch!" I hung the call and slammed the phone on the floor. She shrieked, covering her head.
I clenched my fists, glaring at her. She shook her head sobbing. Why? Why did she play me this dirty? Was it my fault to love her? I turned around and stormed out of the room. "Melo. Melo, wait. I can explain." She ran after me. I abruptly turned around making her stagger back in fear. "What can you explain, Chiara? That I have been a fool playing to your tune this whole time?" I looked away sucking a sharp breath. "No, please just listen to me." She was suffocating me. "You must have been laughing at me. You must've thought I was a joke." I felt like strangling her against the wall, but her sobs ruined my system even further.
I grabbed her by her shoulders. She trembled in my hands. "How could you do this to me?"
"I'm sorry. I was going to tell you. Please forgive me. Please!" I scoffed. "You were going to tell me." I was disgusted by her. I pushed her off and continued downstairs.
She kept following me. Pleading for me to give her a chance. A chance to do what exactly? Kill me altogether? She dropped to her knees and grabbed my leg. "Fucking let go off me!" I growled at her. Junior, Chelsea, and Storm all stared at us. Shocked.
"Please. Please give me a chance to explain myself. Please."
"I told you from the start, Chiara. I can't tolerate liars! And you lied to my face! Made me look like a fool! Let go before I hurt you!" I pushed her off my feet. "Melo Please! Don't go! I beg you!"
"You snatched our chance at a happy life together! You did! I loathe the day I met you!" I glowered at her and strode out of the mansion. I felt like burning and ruining everything that came into my vision. I punched the car window. I punched harder when her loud cries reached me outside.
"Bro, hey—what the—" Junior pulled me back. I turned and punched him hard in the face, causing him to fall down, and soon his nose started to bleed out. His girlfriend came running to him with a worried face.
"Fuck!" I screamed. Hot tears overflowed my eyes no matter how much I tried to blink them away. My hands stung and were bleeding, but that pain was nothing compared to the pain that was eating me alive inside me. I felt like someone was mincing my heart. I screamed again and again. I bent over, hands on my knees. The world was spinning. No, it was falling. Crushing me down with it.
Then a car pulled over in front of me. I lifted my head, my vision blurred. "Get in." Storm uttered. I dragged myself to the passenger's seat, my head tilted back on the head rest and my arm pressed over my eyes. I was dying. I could feel it as Storm raced away from her.
