It wouldn't be surprising if some extremely powerful Sovereign Bodies remained unlisted.
"No. This Sovereign Body actually is recorded in the ranking of the Ninety-Nine Sovereign Bodies." To Xiao Yan's surprise, Mandala actually refuted his comment. She took a deep breath and said slowly, "But it's recorded under a different form."
"And its ultimate form is called... the Immortal Eternal Body."
Upon hearing that, both Xiao Yan and Qing Tan were visibly shocked. Unlike the obscure-sounding Undying Great Sun Body, the Immortal Eternal Body was renowned throughout the Great Thousand World. Even Xiao Yan and Qing Tan, who hadn't been here for long, had heard its name before. After all, it ranked fourth on the list of the Ninety-Nine Sovereign Bodies.
Although it was ranked fourth, those familiar with its background knew that the top five Sovereign Bodies were all original forms left behind from the ancient wars, and their true strength was essentially tied for first place. Each just had different unique properties. So even if their rankings differed, their might was almost equivalent. Given the Immortal Eternal Body's ranking, even its lower form shouldn't be underestimated. No wonder its presence was comparable to the Ice God Body possessed by the Ice Spirit Clan elder.
Meanwhile, Xiao Yan recalled how back in the Nine Nether Secret Realm, when Mu Chen advanced to Earth Sovereign, the shape of his Sovereign Body changed. Though it had become shorter, its power had grown exponentially. Could it be that the mysterious golden body Mu Chen had used was actually the Immortal Eternal Body?
However, he quickly dismissed that theory. Although he hadn't seen the true might of the Immortal Eternal Body firsthand, it likely far exceeded what Mu Chen had displayed back then. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been so difficult for him to overcome Mu Chen and the others. Perhaps that golden Sovereign Body was an evolved form of the Undying Great Sun Body, but still hadn't reached the final stage of the Immortal Eternal Body.
As they conversed, the battle between Lu Heng and the Ice Spirit Clan elder raged on. Upon seeing Lu Heng's Undying Great Sun Body, the elder's expression grew solemn. Clearly, he had also noticed the extraordinary nature of the form. He had assumed his arrival in the Tianluo Continent would be akin to a tiger entering a flock of sheep, but unexpectedly, there was another formidable figure here.
"Sovereign Divine Art, Unleash the Eight Suns!" As the Ice Spirit Clan elder grew wary, Lu Heng's hand seals shifted. Within the Undying Great Sun Body, eight black suns suddenly burst apart, transforming into countless dark torrents that gathered in the figure's palm. These torrents slithered like demonic serpents, exuding a devouring force eerily similar to the Void Devouring Flame.
"Seems that even with the same Sovereign Body, the divine arts developed can differ," Xiao Yan murmured. He recalled that during his battle with Mu Chen, Mu Chen had also employed the Eight Suns power of the Undying Great Sun Body, but the technique Lu Heng now used was clearly different. Nonetheless, both were formidable, and he was curious which one was ultimately stronger.
"Eightfold Sun Power—Eightfold Demonic Serpent!" With a sharp, chilling roar, the black torrent resembling a demonic serpent swept out and surrounded the Ice God Body. Its menacing form seemed as if it intended to consume it entirely. The Sovereign Divine Art derived from the Undying Great Sun Body had always been Lu Heng's trump card. Even without invoking the most powerful Nine Suns variant, just the Eightfold alone had terrified countless enemies in the past.
But the Ice God Body was no pushover. Ranked highly among the Sovereign Bodies, it wasn't so easily devoured. In response to the attack, the Ice Spirit elder unleashed his own divine art. Countless frigid currents converged into massive chains, crashing against the oncoming serpentine flood. The devouring force and the icy energy canceled each other out, ultimately dissipating midair.
"That clash was terrifying..." Qing Tan muttered. She could clearly feel that whether it was the dark serpent or the ice chains, just a stray ripple from either would be enough to annihilate her completely—even if she had activated her own Sovereign Body. The difference in absolute power was simply too vast.
"That was only probing. Their real trump cards haven't been played yet," Xiao Yan said calmly. At the Earth Sovereign level, their Sovereign Bodies had already evolved into higher-level Sovereign Forms, and the Sovereign Divine Arts they wielded were on an entirely different scale. Even normal divine techniques paled in comparison.
Although their clash looked intense, it was still not on par with their earlier head-on collision. If these Sovereign Divine Arts were truly that limited in power, then these two seasoned Earth Sovereigns wouldn't rely on them for a decisive battle. Thus, Xiao Yan concluded that both still had hidden moves they had yet to unleash.
When the demonic serpent was neutralized, Lu Heng's eyes narrowed slightly. Changing his hand seals once more, the Sovereign Form above him emitted a new wave of dark light. The eight suns previously summoned reappeared, but now, a ninth dark sun lit up at the center of his chest.
"Ninefold Sun Divine Art—Ninefold Demonic Abyss!" The nine dark suns erupted simultaneously. Endless black radiance surged forth, converging into a massive dark vortex in the sky. As it rotated, the space within tens of thousands of meters began to distort. All matter, helpless before its pull, began to float upward—drawn toward the heart of the demonic abyss.
The scene was utterly terrifying.
