Chapter 5587: Fantastical Ideas (Part 2)
"What? Not kidnapping anymore?" Qiaomu's voice was laced with derision. These people thought they were so clever, finding a hidden spot to plot their schemes? Little did they know that from the moment she first ascended to the Holy Domain, she knew this place had a peculiar, open topography. For the safety of her group, she had already scattered Shaman Demon Eyes all over the Eastern Domain of the Holy Domain on their very first day there. The Demon Eyes, concealed within the thick mist, could continuously transmit desired information to her as long as they weren't destroyed by water spirits. Therefore, these people's supposedly secret plots had actually been under Qiaomu's watchful eye all along.
Furthermore, besides Aoye, Mo Baobao had many others secretly protecting him. How could he possibly be kidnapped by these pieces of trash? It was pure fantasy.
"Whose idea was this?" Qiaomu asked coldly. In truth, she already knew that within this small team of four, Zhao Gouzi always acted as the strategist. Her asking this was merely out of boredom, wanting to watch a good show of dogs fighting among themselves.
"Him!" As expected, Li Lan'er and Venerable Mulberry unhesitatingly pointed at Zhao Gouzi. Ma Wei, however, said with a heartbroken expression, "We said we were brothers, so why, the moment something goes wrong, do you only want to clear your names?" Shouldn't brothers stick together when in trouble?
"You're truly naive enough," Qiaomu said coldly, giving Ma Wei a few more glances. This man was missing an arm, not his wits. Couldn't he see that his three "brothers" each had ulterior motives?
"Since it was your idea, you can cripple an arm and a leg," Qiaomu stated coldly, casually tossing a spiritual artifact dagger into Zhao Gouzi's barrier. Zhao Gouzi, like the other three, had been trapped in this defensive array by Mo Baobao for quite some time. At this moment, he felt a chill throughout his body, his fingers trembling as he picked up the dagger from the ground. He glared coldly at Qiaomu.
Truly, the most poisonous heart belongs to a woman. They hadn't even managed to capture the child, and had even been thoroughly played by him. Now this young lady actually wanted him to sever his own hand and foot? Wasn't that too much?
"You think it's too much?" Qiaomu couldn't help but sneer. "If my son hadn't had powerful assistance yesterday, then it would be me sitting here crying today."
"You think you're being wronged, that because it wasn't successful, I shouldn't bother you?"
"Does 'not successful' mean 'not done'?"
"If my son had been deceived by you, and suffered any mishap or loss, then today, you wouldn't just be leaving behind your limbs." Qiaomu gazed at them coldly, her voice suddenly growing several shades colder. "I would ensure you could not enter the Yellow Springs Underworld, and that your lives and deaths would not be in your own hands."
Li Lan'er felt a chill throughout her body, looking at Qiaomu as if she were a vengeful spirit crawled out of hell. She now regretted it so much her intestines were turning green. If she hadn't listened to Zhao Gouzi's words, why would she have been so foolish as to throw herself into this matter? She shouldn't have come at all. In the Holy Domain, if you provoked someone more powerful than yourself, and they sought revenge, no one would help. Few people could make friends in the Holy Domain; they usually lived solitary lives. Thus, the fact that Qiaomu and her group of over thirty people ascended to the Holy Domain together was, to others, the most sensational and unusual event in a hundred years.
"Dunzhu," Qiaomu suddenly said, as if something occurred to her.
