Every night had been intense. After two or three sessions, we were completely worn out and had fallen asleep in each other's arms.
But as soon as morning broke, animal-like sounds began coming from the rooftop. Leysa and I quickly sat up in bed.
After our sessions, we had showered and changed clothes. Just in case a monster attacked and we had to defend ourselves in a hurry.
The moment we stepped off the bed, we rushed toward the living room.
That was when we realized everyone else had taken the same precautions.
They were already showered and dressed, but had gone back to sleep afterward. Now the noise had woken them.
Haiden and Fauna came down from the second floor.
When they looked at us, fear filled their eyes.
It was the same fear reflected in all of ours. The loud thumping continued from above.
"I think there's a monster upstairs," Yorick muttered, rising from the sofa.
Mariana also got up from the couch beside him.
