Huo Yunxiao pulled his hand away from Shen Mu and said, "Sit down, I'm driving." Shen Mu obediently sat back down but couldn't help asking, "Are you just trying to placate me?" Huo Yunxiao smiled and asked, "Did it work?" Before Shen Mu could answer, Huo Yunxiao took advantage of a red light to reach over and smooth out the stray hairs on her forehead. "I wasn't just trying to placate you. I really am taking you out to have fun."
Huo Yunxiao drove Shen Mu's usual Audi inconspicuously through the night. Shen Mu watched the passing streetlights and traffic outside the window and felt like they were getting farther and farther from the city center. She finally asked, "Aren't we in Binhai City?"
Huo Yunxiao replied, "Yes, just a bit further out."
Binhai City was a coastal city in the southeast region, surrounded by the sea on three sides and with extremely developed transportation. In addition to the usual highways and airports, there were also many docks along the coast.
