The next day at the Tall Timbers Park safe zone, Lincoln was busy talking to Lisa.
"You want me to go on another retrieval mission, Lisa?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes; I would like to acquire my own Digimon to study; also, seeing you and some of our siblings with partner Digimon makes me want one myself." replied Lisa.
"What do you want me to get?" asked Lincoln. "I'm not touching your fecal samples though."
"Perhaps my microscope will suffice." replied Lisa.
"Okay; I'll get Liam and Stella." said Lincoln.
"I'm coming too." said Lynn Jr, walking over to him with Pulsemon next to her.
"You want to come with?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah; me and Pulsemon want to get in on the action." said Lynn Jr.
"Yeah!" said Pulsemon.
"Okay; you two can come with." said Lincoln.
"I will inform TODD about the retrieval mission." said Lisa. Later, Lincoln was telling his friends about the new retrieval mission.
"Another one?" asked Rusty.
"Yeah; Lisa really wants her own Digimon." said Lincoln.
"Man, your sisters are always asking for something." said Zach.
"I hope your sisters stop asking for stuff; we still have an obelisk to destroy." said Clyde. Lincoln, Stella, and Liam walk to Vanzilla where Lynn Jr, Pulsemon, and TODD were waiting for them.
"Are you all READY?" asked TODD.
"Yeah, let's go." said Lincoln. He, his friends, Lynn Jr, their Digimon, and TODD climbed into Vanzilla; TODD drives to a part of the barrier where Lisa was waiting for them. She uses her barrier opening device to create an opening for Vanzilla to go through. TODD drives Vanzilla through the opening and out the safe zone; Lisa then closes the opening with her device. After Vanzilla was far enough from the safe zone, a large, green Digimon that resembled a praying mantis emerges from some trees.
Inside the safe zone, Lana was walking along with Betamon while Hops was sticking his head out from under Lana's cap.
"Okay, you two; let's go see if Lisa will let up out so we can go to the lake and check on the Fishmans." said Lana. Clyde, Rusty, Zach, and their partner Digimon suddenly run past them. "Hey, what's going on?"
"Mayor Davis informed us that a Digimon is trying to get through the barrier." said Gaomon as he continued running.
"Come on, let's check it out." said Lana as she and Betamon follow after the others. When they got to the barrier, they see the mantis Digimon slashing the barrier with sickle-like blades on the end of its arms. Lana takes out her Digivice and points it at the Digimon.
"That's Snimon." said Lana. "Champion Level, Insect Type, Vaccine Attribute; special attack, Twin Sickle." Lisa runs to the group with her barrier opening device; she creates an opening on the barrier far from Snimon. Lincoln, his friends, Lana, and their Digimon run through the barrier and Lisa closes it.
"Ready, guys?" asked Clyde, holding up his artifact.
"Ready!" replied Zach and Rusty, holding up their artifacts; they push a button on them and they begins spinning.
"Gaomon, Digivolve to..." said Gaomon as he kept spinning until he became Gaogamon.
"GAOGAMON!" said Gaogamon.
"Gotsumon, Digivolve to..." said Gotsumon as he continued to spin until he became Golemon.
"GOLEMON!" said Golemon.
"Elecmon, Digivolve to..." said Elecmon until he became Leomon.
"LEOMON!" said Leomon. Girls in the barrier shriek with delight at Leomon. Lana was holding her Digivice, pushing the buttons.
"How do I work this thing?" asked Lana. The Champion Level Digimon run to Snimon; it turned towards them.
"Twin Sickles!" shouts Snimon as it swings its arms, releasing energy blades from its arm sickles and they hit the group's Digimon, knocking them back.
"Double Claw!" shouts Gaogamon as he pounces at Snimon; it flies to the side, dodging Gaogamon as he swings his foreleg claws.
"Smashing Kick!" shouts Leomon as he leaps at Snimon and tries to kick it; it flies backward, dodging the kick.
"Rock Punch!" shouts Golemon as he charges at Snimon and tries to punch it, but it flies up, dodging Golemon's punch.
"Ultimate Twin Sickles!" shouts Snimon as it swings its arms, releasing energy blades bigger than the previous ones and they hit Lincoln and his friends Digimon, hitting them, and knocking them to the ground.
"You guys okay?!" asked Clyde.
"We're fine." replied Gaogamon as he and the others get up.
"Electric Shock!" shouts Betamon as he releases electricity from his body at Snimon; it blocks it with one of its blades.
"Twin Sickles!" shouts Snimon as it swings its arms, releasing energy blades that hits the ground in front of Betamon, sending him flying and hitting the ground; he struggles to get up.
"Are you okay, Betamon?!" asked Lana, running to Betamon.
"I'll be fine; I only wanted to help." replied Betamon.
"Standing up to a bigger Digimon; you're a real gutsy Digimon, I respect that." said Lana. Her Digivice suddenly begins to glow brightly. She looks at it and sees one of the buttons glowing brightly; she pushes it and Betamon begins to spin.
"Betamon, Digivolve to..." said Betamon as he continued to spin until he became a green, humanoid lizard wearing purple pants, a greenish-yellow loincloth with symbols on it, red bracers with a blade on each of them, a headband with a feather on the back of it, and a large sword on his back.
"DINOHYUMON!" said Betamon's new form. Lana takes out her Digivice and points it at the Digimon.
"That's Dinohyumon." said Lana. "Champion Level, Dragon Man Type, Data Attribute; special attack, Lizard Dance." Dinohyumon goes into a fighting stance and faces Snimon. It flies towards Dinohyumon.
"Green Sickle Cut!" shouts Snimon as he does a horizontal swing with one of its sickles at Dinohyumon; he blocks it with one of his arm blades, then he slashes Snimon with his other blade, knocking it back. Dinohyumon takes out the large sword from his back.
"Akinakes!" shouts Dinohyumon as he swings his large sword and slashes Snimon's torso, horizontally, knocking Snimon to the ground; Dinohyumon puts his sword back on his back.
"Yeah; keep it up, Dinohyumon!" shouts Lana.
"Man, Dinohyumon's doing great." said Zach.
"I'll say." said Rusty. The group's Digimon all charged at Snimon as it was getting up.
"Spiral Blow!" shouts Gaogamon before releasing a vortex of wind from his mouth and it hits Snimon.
"Lion Sword!" shouts Leomon as he unsheathes his sword and slashes Snimon with it.
"Powerful Punch!" shouts Golemon as he swings a fist and punches Snimon, knocking it back. Dinohyumon walks over to Snimon as it struggled to stay on its feet.
"Lizard Dance!" shouts Dinohyumon as dances while slashing Snimon with his left arm blade, then his right blade; he then grabs his large sword from his back, and does a diagonal slash down Snimon. It lets out a loud yell as its body disintegrates.
"Way to go, Dinohyumon!" cheered Lana.
"That was amazing!" said Clyde.
"Don't worry, Leomon; your sword's still cool." said Rusty.
"The size of a weapon doesn't matter, Rusty." replied Leomon. The Champion Level Digimon all returned to their Rookie Forms.
"Did I do good, Lana?" asked Betamon.
"You did awesome, Betamon!" said Lana as she hugs Betamon.
"Let's get back in the safe zone." said Zach.
"I hope Lincoln draws Dinohyumon in his journal" asked Lana.
"I'll do it." replied Clyde. "I saw what he and Snimon looked like."
"Thanks." said Lana.
Back in Royal Woods, TODD was driving Lincoln, Lynn Jr, Liam, Stella, and their partner Digimon back to the safe zone; Lynn Jr was holding Lisa's microscope.
"Okay, we have the microscope; all we need now is one of Titamon's goons to defeat while its near the microscope." said Lincoln.
"You want one of us?!" a gruff voice from nearby shouts, making the group look to see a large, minotaur-like, Digimon, with a metal device where its left hand should be, and wearing leather boots; plows through a partly-destroyed building, causing TODD to hit the brakes and stop Vanzilla. "Well, look no further, humans!" Lincoln, his friends, Lynn, and their Digimon partners climb out of Vanzilla.
"That's a fine-looking steer." said Liam. Stella points her artifact at the Digimon.
"That's Minotaurmon." said Stella. "Champion Level, Beast Man Type, Virus Attribute; his special attack is Darkside Quake."
"Let's take it down!" said Lincoln as he, Liam, and Stella push the buttons on their artifacts, making their Digimon start to spin.
"Agumon, Digivolve to..." Agumon says as he starts spinning while glowing brightly until he turned into...
"...GEOGREYMON!" said GeoGreymon after he was done spinning.
"Lalamon, Digivolve to..." Lalamon says as she spins while glowing brightly until she turned to...
"SUNFLOWMON!" Sunflowmon says after she was done spinning.
"Kudamon, Digivolve to..." Kudamon said as he starts to spin while glowing brightly until he turned to...
"REPPAMON!" said Reppamon after he was done spinning.
"Time to wrangle this steer!" said Liam as the kids' partner Digimon charged towards Minotaurmon.
"Try this on for size!" said Minotaurmon as it raises its arm. "Darkside Quake!" It then slams its fist into the ground, making a massive shockwave through the ground, which causes GeoGreymon and Reppamon to fall to the ground; Sunflowmon was able to avoid being hit because she was hovering over the ground.
"Missed me." said Sunflowmon.
"I won't with this!" said Minotaurmon. "Demon Arm!" It punches Sunflowmon with its mechanical hand, sending her flying into the side of a building.
"Sunflowmon!" said Stella.
"Are you all okay?" asked Lincoln.
"We'll be fine." said GeoGreymon as he slowly gets to his feet.
"Not for long!" said Minotaurmon as it raises its arm up to strike GeoGreymon;
"Electric Rush!" Pulsemon shouts out before he suddenly appears and rams into the side of Minotaurmon's head, knocking it off balance.
"What the..." said Minotaurmon.
"I'll take you on!" said Pulsemon.
"Pulsemon, that's a Champion Level Digimon!" said Lincoln.
"You're no match for it!" said Stella.
"Won't stop me from trying." said Pulsemon as he starts zipping around Minotaurmon.
"Demon Arm!" shouts Minotaurmon as it tries to punch the faster Pulsemon, only to miss.
"Petit Impulse!" said Pulsemon as he releases a blast of electricity from his hair, hitting Minotaurmon in the face.
"Why you little..." shouts Minotaurmon as he brings his fist up to try striking Pulsemon.
"Horn Impulse!" GeoGreymon shouts as he runs at Minotaurmon and rams it with his head.
"Lion Claw!" shouts Reppamon as he slashes at Minotaurmon with his claws.
"Smiley Slap!" shouts Sunflowmon as she slaps Minotaurmon repeatedly across its face.
"That does it! Demon Arm!" said Minotaurmon as he punches GeoGreymon, Reppamon, and Sunflowmon with its mechanized arm.
"You can't catch me!" said Pulsemon as he runs all over the place.
"We'll see about that! Darkside Quake!" shouts Minotaurmon as he slams his mechanized arm into the ground, causing a shockwave that hits Pulsemon, knocking him off balance, and tumble to the ground.
"Pulsemon!" shouts Lynn as she runs to her partner Digimon.
"I can still fight." said Pulsemon as he struggles to his feet.
"If you won't stay down, then I'll grind you into Digidust!" said Minotaurmon as it approaches Pulsemon, only for Lynn to stand between them.
"Don't touch my partner!" said Lynn.
"Well, I guess I'll have to crush you first!" said Minotaurmon as he raises his arm up.
"LYNN!" shouts Lincoln, Liam, and Stella. Suddenly, Lynn's Digivice starts to glow brightly, blinding Minotaurmon.
"My eyes!" shouts Minotaurmon as it stumbles back. Lynn looks at her Digivice and sees a button glowing brightly.
"This should be good." said Lynn as she pushes the shining button, making Pulsemon start to glow.
"Pulsemon, Digivolve to..." Pulsemon says as he starts to spin while glowing; when he was done, he was a lot bigger, his skin was a yellowish green, his body was very muscular with green markings, he had black leather fingerless gloves on his hands, and he was wearing a black mask with a lightning bolt-shaped horn on its snout covering the top half of his head.
"...BULKMON!" shouts the Champion Form of Pulsemon, now known as Bulkmon.
"Whoa-ho-ho!" said Lynn as she points her Digivice at her newly Digivolved partner. "That's Bulkmon. Champion Level, Dragon Man Type, Vaccine Attribute; his special attack is Electrical Fist."
"That is so awesome!" said Lincoln as he was with GeoGreymon.
"You guys stand back." said Lynn. "Bulkmon's got this one."
"Sure, Lynn." said Stella. Minotaurmon stomps on the ground out of frustration.
"I will destroy all of you!" said Minotaurmon.
"Thunder Dread!" shouts Bulkmon as he releases a blast of electricity from his horn, hitting Minotaurmon.
"AUGH!" shouted Minotaurmon as it was electrocuted.
"Show that oversized cow who's boss!" said Lynn.
"I won't be beaten!" shouts Minotaurmon as it charges at Bulkmon.
"Electrical Fist!" shouts Bulkmon as he gathers a large amount of electricity into his fist and punches Minotaurmon through its chest.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!" shouts Minotaurmon as its body disintegrates.
"Get Lisa's microscope." said Lincoln. TODD rolls over and places Lisa's microscope in among Minotaurmon's pieces, making them enter it.
"I guess that's done." said Lynn as Bulkmon, along with the other partner Digimon, return to their Rookie Forms.
"How did I do?" asked Pulsemon.
"You were awesome!" said Lynn.
"I'll make sure to do a drawing of Bulkmon and Minotaurmon in my journal." said Lincoln.
"Better make him look cool!" said Lynn.
"I will." said Lincoln. The group climbs into Vanzilla and begin heading back to the safe zone. After arriving, Clyde, Rusty, and Zach inform Lincoln about Snimon, and more importantly, Betamon Digivolving to Dinohyumon; they even showed Lincoln the drawings of the two Digimon in his journal. Lincoln drew Bulkmon and Minotaurmon in his journal. Later at night, everyone was fast asleep inside Vanzilla; Lisa was holding her microscope close to her.
The next morning, everyone was gathered around Lisa who was holding a white, bloblike Digimon with thin, blue wings on top of it, and large eyes in her arms while holding a green Digivice with a brown trim. Luan takes out her Digivice and points it at the Digimon.
"This is Pupumon." said Luan.
"Poo poo." said Lana, chuckling.
"It's a Baby Level, Slime Type, has no attribute." said Luan. "Special attack, Poison Bubbles."
"Lisa, I don't want Pupumon using that move inside Camperzilla." said Lynn Sr.
"Affirmative, Father; I would rather not endanger every member of our family." replied Lisa. Minutes later, everyone was eating breakfast; Lisa was feeding Pupumon oatmeal. "I will make sure you receive the right amount of nutrients to help you grow, Pupumon." After Pupumon finished the oatmeal, he began to spin.
"He's Digivolving." said Lincoln.
"Pupumon, Digivolve to..." said Pupumon as he began to glow while he continued to spin; when he stopped, he resembled a golden yellow larva with four stubby legs, short antennas, and three pairs of thin gray wings.
"PUROROMON!" said the new form of Pupumon.
"So, what's the little dude now?" asked Luna. Lisa points her Digivice at her partner's new form.
"This is Puroromon." said Lisa. "In-Training Level, Larva Type, still no attribute; special attack, Stinging Attack."
Lana and Lynn's partners have Digivolved to their Champion Levels and Lisa has gained her own partner Digimon. What else awaits Lincoln and his family and friends? Wait and find out.
