Chapter 198 - Chapter 198 - Rebuilding Korin Tower

Assassin League Base.

Upon returning to the base, Smith Dole gave a few instructions and then immediately dove into the training chamber.

Sinking his consciousness into the system space, he summoned Piccolo's character card and, without hesitation, chose to use it.

"Use."

The card in his hand dissolved into glowing particles that merged with his body, and his energy began to surge.

Wearing a scouter that had a maximum reading of 22,000 (system-produced), he watched as the number skyrocketed—220, 300, 600, 950… finally stopping at 1240.

An immense aura burst from Smith, sweeping through the base and beyond, exerting heavy pressure on everyone nearby.

Seeing the number "1240," Smith couldn't help but smile with satisfaction.

Sure, 1240 might not sound like much compared to characters with power levels in the tens of thousands or millions—but with that much, he was already completely immune to all conventional Earth weapons. Not even a nuke could scratch him now.

With a single Kamehameha, he could flatten all of New York. Aside from a few hidden Marvel figures, there was no one on Earth who could match him now.

Ignoring Captain Marvel for a moment, he could fly straight to the Triskelion building, smack Nick Fury a few times, take selfies doing it, and the guy still wouldn't be able to stop him.

As for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s energy weapons? If they couldn't hurt Loki, he doubted they'd work on him either.

Shaking off those scattered thoughts, Smith reined in his aura. The overwhelming pressure subsided, and everyone in the base could finally breathe again.

After completing the character fusion, Smith manifested Korin in front of him.

A white cat, standing upright and holding something like a staff, appeared.

Smith extended a hand. "Hello, Korin."

Korin looked around, slightly dazed, absorbing the information from Smith's mind. Then, seeing the extended hand, he raised a paw and gave it a shake.

"Hello, Mister Smith," Korin said. "I hope we can work well together from here on."

Despite the initial shock of being yanked from his world and now bound to this man, Korin quickly accepted reality. He also sensed the deep, unfathomable power in Smith's aura—and could detect both Saiyan and Namekian energy signatures on him.

Smith wasn't surprised by Korin's directness. After all, this wasn't some random cat—he was the guardian of the sacred tower, likely hundreds of years old.

"Korin, I'll need you to stay at our base from now on," Smith said. "If you have any requirements for living space, just let me know. I'll have it built."

"There will also be a team in charge of getting fresh fish for you daily."

Seeing Smith offer him VIP treatment right off the bat, Korin didn't hold back. "What do you want me to do?"

Smith considered Korin's 190 power level and replied, "Protect the base. I don't think we're in danger, but better safe than sorry."

"I'd also like you to conduct Korin Tower-style trials here. Help raise the strength of my people."

"And finally, I'm counting on you for the Super God Water and the Senzu Beans."

Korin nodded, thinking for a moment before replying:

"I will protect the base. If any enemies show up, I'll eliminate them."

Smith nodded as well. With Korin's strength, most threats could be taken care of before they became real problems.

"As for the trials," Korin continued, "we'll need to construct a tower according to Korin Tower standards."

Hearing that, Smith's scalp tingled. Little Goku took days to climb that thing. How tall was it, exactly?

"Uh… right." Smith scratched his cheek. "Building it to scale might take too long, and this place probably can't handle something that huge."

Korin thought for a moment. "Then let's make a scaled-down version. 3,000 meters should be manageable."

"You can't expect me to train regular civilians with no foundation."

3,000 meters was still ridiculously tall—but far more reasonable than the original. Smith agreed.

"Alright. I'll have my people build a version of Korin Tower for this world."

Even a 3,000-meter stone tower would become a massive landmark. But with his current strength, building it wouldn't be a problem. And on private land, no one could question it.

Korin continued, "The rewards from the tower trial include the Super Holy Water. But that's really just regular water—it has no special properties. The improvement comes from the training itself."

"As for the Super God Water—that's different. It's tied to my divine authority. I can still produce it, even in this world."

"The Super God Water stimulates a person's latent power and greatly boosts combat ability. But it's also highly poisonous. Only those with extraordinary willpower, vitality, and mental strength can survive drinking it. And if someone doesn't have hidden potential, even surviving won't make a difference."

Korin laid everything out clearly.

Smith immediately thought of Cross, Mr. X, Wesley, and the werewolves and vampires.

He was confident those individuals had real potential. With care, they could benefit from the Super God Water.

"I understand. We'll be extremely selective about who gets to use it."

Korin nodded. "As for the Senzu Beans, though… I'm afraid I can't help right now."

"I didn't bring any items with me—just this staff. And growing Senzu Beans requires seeds. I don't have the ability to create them out of thin air."
