From the system interface, Smith Dole learned that future character card fusions wouldn't alter his physical appearance. The upgrades would affect his bloodline potential, combat power, and techniques only.
Relieved by this information, Smith let out a sigh. Piccolo was strong, sure—but walking around looking like a Namekian? That would've been hard to explain in the Marvel world.
Still, he didn't immediately fuse with the Namekian bloodline. He was, after all, still on a plane. One surge of power and the aircraft would crash.
With the Namekian bloodline added to his arsenal, his survivability had received a massive boost.
Having finished the character draw, Smith turned his attention to the item draw.
Opening the item wish draw, he looked up at the meteors above. Inside the orbs were a wide range of items:
Senzu Bean, a Bag of Senzu Beans, a Jar of Senzu Beans, Saiyan Single-Person Spaceship, Namekian Spaceship, Frieza's Massive Spaceship, Super Holy Water, First and Second Gen Battle Armor, Healing Pod, Gravity Room, Capsule Technology, Second and Third Gen Scouters...
Deeper in the starfield, he spotted even more incredible treasures: Tree of Might Fruit, Tree of Might Seedling, Z Sword, Power Pole, Potara Earrings, and Time Machine.
Smith's eyes lit up.
The Time Machine could let him traverse parallel universes. The Tree of Might Fruit could boost strength significantly, and the Seedling could allow him to plant the tree on other planets.
Even the Z Sword and Power Pole were incredible weapons. They were buried deep for now, but as long as they appeared in the rotation, there would come a day when he could claim them.
With that, Smith unleashed a Kamehameha straight at one of the meteors.
A glowing orb shattered.
Congratulations! Smith Dole has obtained a Senzu Bean.
Smith froze. Just... one Senzu Bean?
Not that it wasn't useful—but just one? If it had been a bag, he could've pulled a full Goku-on-Namek strategy.
But one single Senzu Bean? Well, it was still a life-saving trump card. In this universe, that one bean might be worth more than gold.
He would've preferred the Tree of Might Seedling. That way, he could follow in Frieza's footsteps and start galactic real estate ventures—planting power-boosting trees on planets across the cosmos.
After all, the Tree of Might was far more efficient than the God Tree from the Naruto universe. It could sprout and grow instantly, bear fruit quickly, and massively boost power levels without any sacrifices. Meanwhile, the God Tree took a thousand years and required a full Ōtsutsuki sacrifice—clearly inferior.
Plus, the Tree of Might's fruit had no side effects and was said to be divine food—perhaps even once reserved for the Supreme Kais themselves.
Although he didn't get it this time, Smith believed that as long as it appeared, there'd be future chances.
And the sooner, the better. He already had several planets in the Marvel universe in mind for cultivation.
With two of the three draws complete, he now looked to the Partner Wish Draw.
Last time, he had drawn Bulma—a massive asset. Capsule Corporation's existence had drastically accelerated the growth of the Assassin League.
Opening the partner draw screen, Smith looked up again, hoping for a powerful ally.
There were figures like: Korin, Android 8, Emperor Pilaf, World Martial Arts Tournament Announcer, Dende, Namekian Elder, King Yemma...
And deep in the cosmos—Zamasu, Babidi, Elder Kai, Evil Shenron, Omega Shenron, Whis…
Smith chuckled when he saw the Martial Arts Tournament Announcer. Was he supposed to bring him in to MC the next Dragon Ball Tournament?
Wouldn't that be a waste of a partner draw?
But when he saw Omega Shenron and Ultimate Shenron, his amusement turned to worry. He remembered clearly—Ultimate Shenron, once summoned, could fly across the universe. If not recalled in time, the summoner's planet could be destroyed as payment.
And Evil Shenrons were even worse. Regular Super Saiyan 4s weren't even a match for them. If such beings ever appeared in the Marvel universe, few would be able to stand against them.
He made a mental note: from now on, when the Dragon Balls reassemble, he'd need to watch out—both to prevent the emergence of Ultimate Shenron, and to detect any signs of evil energy corrupting the Dragon Balls and birthing an Evil Shenron.
As for the Namekian Elder and Elder Kai—they could unlock potential. Whis and Vados? They could train Gods of Destruction.
In that moment, the ceiling of the partner draw system rose infinitely high. If even beings like Zeno, the Grand Priest, or Time Kaioshin were buried deeper, Smith wouldn't be surprised. But he hadn't seen them—yet.
Though the upper-tier characters were enticing, he knew his current Kamehameha power probably couldn't even reach their orbs.
Setting expectations aside, Smith fired his full-strength blast.
A card materialized before him.
Congratulations! Smith Dole has obtained Support-Type Partner: Korin!
Smith's eyes went wide.
This… was a jackpot.
If he remembered correctly, the cat hermit had a battle power of 190—but that wasn't what made him valuable.
Korin possessed two key abilities: Super Holy Water and Senzu Bean Cultivation.
With him around, Smith's allies could use the Super Holy Water to increase their strength—and Senzu Beans would no longer be a rarity.
The only uncertainty was how long it would take Korin to grow Senzu Beans in this world. In Z, it often took years to produce just a few beans.
Still, this was a massive upgrade for Smith and the Assassin League. No more running out of Super Holy Water or Senzu Beans. This draw was a huge win.
The only minor downside? The lone Senzu Bean he had just drawn now seemed almost irrelevant in Korin's presence.
Then again, cultivation took time. He'd still need to wait for the first new batch, and environmental factors might complicate things. Until then, this one bean was still a critical life-saver.
