Bianca found herself at a loss for words, unable to conjure up any response. All she could manage was to blink. However, amid her shock, one particular statement from Apollonia resonated with her, causing unease to well up inside her.
“You said… you said you gave Eckhart to me, that means…”
Apollonia simply smiled in response, but that gentle expression was more than enough to answer Bianca’s suspicions: Apollonia knew everything from the beginning.
Bianca recalled the events of the past month. Apollonia had pushed Bianca to spend time with Eckhart on numerous occasions, meticulously selecting her attire and accessories to perfectly align with his preferences. Bianca had naïvely attributed it all to mere coincidence.
“Of course, I would never have forced you if you didn’t want to do it. I don’t think you need me to tell you this, but you and Eckhart make an unbelievably good match.”
