Synopsis
Joshua has no idea what just happened. One second, his papa kissed him goodnight... and the next, he woke up in a glowing blue space, staring at a talking cat in a necktie. “You must rescue your papa,” the cat said seriously. Turns out, Joshua’s "silly" papa is in danger across multiple worlds—and only Joshua can save him! Determined, Joshua clenches his tiny fists and raises his chubby arms high: the mission to rescue papa begins! But Joshua didn’t expect bonus prizes along the way... “Why are you following me?” Joshua frowns at the red snake wrapped around his leg. In the blink of an eye, the snake turns into a boy a head taller than Joshua, throws his arms around him, and grins: “Come to the underworld with me! We have cake!” Joshua won’t be tricked so easily... but maybe he can eat the cake first then leave. That’s fair, right? . . . Alternate Title: “From an Egg to a Hero – I Beat Up All the Baddies to Protect My Poor Papa!” Note: Papa has no love interest. No weird pairings. Just one overprotective papa who adores his son—and a whole world that does too. This is a sweet, healing story filled with love and adventure.

Chapter 1 - Pa pa is a famous star (1)

"Hey, Leo, how long must I keep jumping like this? Why haven't we seen Papa yet?"

On a desolate mountainside, hidden from all eyes, a strange sight unfolded: a giant egg, nearly the size of three ostrich eggs combined, was continuously bouncing forward, hurling itself downhill at breakneck speed.

At the foot of the slope lay a splendid scene, bathed in dazzling lights — a grand party was underway at a villa nestled midway up the mountain, a clear display of the owner's wealth and extravagance.

"Little Master, you must hurry! If not, Lord Adonis will encounter the heroine in trouble on the roadside, help her out, fall in love with her, and then—lose everything, end up in prison!"

Inside the egg — also known as Joshua — a voice rang out at that moment. It was Leo speaking.

Oh, right, I forgot that Leo was the system Joshua had just met five minutes ago.

When Joshua heard Leo's warning, he panicked, "No way, I won't let Papa be tricked! Papa's a dummy!"

Without another word, he lunged forward, the egg rolling and skidding past a rocky ledge before launching into the air. If someone had looked up at the sky right then, they might have thought they were seeing a second moon — an oddly shaped one.

"Thud!"

The pristine white egg hit the ground — miraculously, it didn't crack or even get a scratch.

Still, Joshua couldn't help but moan, "My shell must be covered in scratches and dirt by now, huhuhu… Papa is so dumb."

Leo quickly tried to comfort his little master. "Exactly, it's all Lord Adonis's fault. When we return, we'll make him polish your shell 100 times, alright? Now, let's focus on the mission!"

Leo comforted him again — the Little Master was still too small, his thoughts unfocused. If he wasn't careful, he might forget the mission entirely.

Only Leo truly understood how important this mission was. It was too heavy a burden for someone like the little master. He could only hope that nothing unexpected would happen along the way.

"Right! The mission! I almost forgot — Papa, Joshua is here!"

With that declaration, the egg sprang toward the Rolls-Royce parked nearby and quickly dove into the bushes to hide.

"Boom!"

Thunder rolled across the sky as light rain began to fall, gradually turning into a downpour.

"Next time, don't call me back for this party."

"Little Master, you do understand that..."

Voices arguing could be heard in the distance, but the conversation seemed to go nowhere. The sound of footsteps drew closer.

Joshua, hiding behind the bushes, finally saw his papa.

What entered his view first was a pair of long legs attached to a tall, well-proportioned figure over 1.9 meters tall. His sharp, defined face was unmistakably handsome — jet-black hair and deep black eyes that seemed to hold the stars.

Only his lips were pale, and a faint frustration clouded his features.

Joshua remembered clearly — anyone who ever made Papa look like that had long been reduced to dust by a mere flick of his finger.

But the most important thing right now was:

"Why is Papa standing in the rain?!"

Joshua shouted as he saw his papa walking in the rain without an umbrella.

At the very least, Papa should've made the rain stop!

As if reading Joshua's mind, Leo quickly explained, "Perhaps you've forgotten — Lord Adonis is no longer the Adonis of the divine realm. He no longer has the powers he once did."

Joshua pouted, and at that moment, his sound caught Adonis's attention.

He frowned, his sharp gaze snapping toward the bush where the strange noise had just come from.

But then he suddenly shook his head, rubbing his temple in weariness, and turned toward the car. Maybe the stress had been too much lately, and combined with tonight's unpleasantness, he was seeing things.

With that thought, Adonis moved to close the car door.

But a white blur suddenly shot forward at that exact moment — flying straight into the car!

"Click!"

Adonis reflexively shut the door, then looked confused at the white figure that had just darted inside. The doubt in his eyes only deepened when he realized it was a large egg. He rubbed his eyes, wondering if his condition had worsened that badly lately.

"What the hell—"

Before Adonis could finish, something shocking happened — the egg suddenly began jumping wildly, then dove straight into his lap!

"Papa can't drive away! Stay here all night! Do you hear me, Papa? If you don't listen, you'll die!"

Joshua shouted sincerely, deeply worried. But to Adonis, all he could hear was the egg making weird sounds — pa pa pa, cheep cheep cheep.

He should've just assumed it was his illness acting up again… but the sharp pain in his chest made it painfully clear that this was no hallucination.

Did this egg not realize how heavy it was?! Adonis was sure that his chest was already bruised black and blue from the impact.

He quickly pushed it off, using both hands to seize the terrifying egg.

Veins popped on his hand as he growled, "What the hell are you?!"

"Pa... Papa... Papa yelled at me?"

Joshua froze, his voice wobbling as he began to tear up.

Leo quickly defused the situation: "No, he just doesn't understand what you're saying."

"Hu hu hu, Papa is so dumb!"

Adonis only heard the egg let out a loud pa! — then it suddenly broke free from his grip. Before he could react, the egg was closer than ever.

"Thunk!"

That was the only sound inside the car before Adonis's eyes rolled back, and he collapsed into the seat.

The egg had just headbutted him — their first-ever meeting ending in a full-force blow to the skull, hard enough to knock him out instantly. The spot where he was hit was already red and swelling, sure to turn purple-blue by morning.

Leo: "..."

Well, maybe that works too...

Leo: "Little Master is so clever! With this, Lord Adonis won't be able to drive away — our first mission to stop him from stepping onto a tragic path is complete!"

Leo praised him like a well-trained machine, not holding back.

Joshua, still sniffling, heard Leo's words and slowly calmed down, huffing coldly: "Of course! But… Papa's gonna be okay, right?" He was starting to feel like maybe he'd overdone it a little.

As he spoke, the egg hopped onto Adonis's body, trying to inspect the bump on his forehead.

Just as Adonis had feared, this egg had no concept of its own weight. Every hop made Adonis's body twitch involuntarily, even in unconsciousness.

Leo: "..."

At this rate, Lord Adonis might end up dead at the hands of our Little Master before the villains even get to him.

"Little Master, please press this button to open the car window. Otherwise, Lord Adonis might suffocate by morning."

Upon hearing Leo's suggestion, Joshua finally spared Adonis's "battered" body, quickly followed Leo's instructions to open the car window, then hopped onto Adonis's stomach and lay still — ready to sleep. Today had been exhausting.

Outside, the storm howled as wind and rain slammed against the car, cold enough to make Adonis shiver in his sleep.

Meanwhile, the egg resting peacefully on his stomach had already drifted off, fully content.

Leo: "..."

Speechless for the nth time today.

Oh well — at least this is better than Lord Adonis suffocating to death.
