"Now put the ring on my finger." Eitan ordered again. "You're keeping me waiting too long."
Ava quickly blinked away her daze. 'What exactly did he mean by that?' She asked herself as she slipped the gold band into his ring finger.
She paused, then looked up at him. "Is there something I'm supposed to say?"
"Not at all." Eitan responded, taking hold of her slender left hand. She instinctively tried to pull away but he held it firm, and slid the wedding band into her ring finger as well.
"In exchange for protection, you've agreed to be my Wife. That is going to come with a lot of it's challenges, Ava, but there's no going back now." Eitan told her.
Ava swallowed. "And you're telling me this when I've already sighed the certificate?"
One of Eitan's brows rose in amusement. "Why not? I can't afford to let you run away."
Ava almost laughed out loud at his train of thought. Even if she wanted to run, where would she run to?
She pursed her lips. "I understand."
