Eitan carefully gathered Ava's sleeping form in his arms and moved her out of the car. With the files still in her grasp, he boldly walked into the entrance of the apartment complex under the gaze of everyone who was at the lobby.
A lot of them stared at him like they had just seen a ghost walk in. Though, it was obvious to everyone there that Eitan Berger was carrying a woman, no one knew what she looked like because he had purposefully hidden her face with her hair.
He didn't need to walk up to the counter, to flash an ID card. After all, the receptionists already knew that he was a resident of the building.
The moment Eitan reached his unit with the aid of the security guards, he headed straight for the only other empty room in his apartment and laid Ava down gently on the soft mattress.
Eitan studied her sleeping face carefully. Even after all that movement and noise, she hadn't groaned or fidgeted once.
