I arrived at Beta Benjamin's house, went upstairs, walked to my room, and tried to unlock the door—but found it slightly open.
I locked this room before leaving. Why is it open? Pushing the door, I looked inside and found a few of my things scattered on the floor.
Did Madison do this? Did she come into my room and do this? It must be her! That brat! But as I went in, I found someone else in my room.

"Mom," I called, entering and shutting the door behind me.
Without looking at me, she asked, "What is this? What is the meaning of this?" She referred to the content of the paper.
I moved closer, recognized the paper, snatched it from her, and immediately shoved it into my bag.
"What are you doing in my room? Why do you keep doing this? This is not your room."
"But you are in my husband's house; you are under his roof," she stated.
