----------------------------------------------------------

Shirou Emiya's current state could only be described as fragile.

Exceptionally so.

His Inherent Spiritual Dress was still being forged, locked in the middle of a transformation. Because of that, his Severance ability was unusable. Unlimited Blade Works-his foundation, the thing that defined him-was also inaccessible. It had already been shattered by the Hammer of the Divine Smith and fully integrated into the Inherent Spiritual Dress.

It was no longer something he could call upon.

Of the three nascent Authorities he had obtained from the Godslayer world, two and a half had already been absorbed into the Sword Embryo, completely fused with it. Under the guidance of Shirou Emiya's miracle, even his magic-Only for that, the Oath Under the Snow-had entered a state of transformation.

It, too, was unusable.

At present, aside from a handful of passive abilities and his accumulated magical knowledge, Shirou Emiya only retained nine of the ten Incarnation abilities belonging to Verethragna's Authority.

That was all.

"But even so, I'm not someone you can take lightly right now."

"Verethragna's Authority has many restrictions, but it's an ability meant to overturn situations. As a trump card, it's more than enough."

"And my most fundamental strength-what I take the most pride in-has never changed."

"My body. And my martial arts."

Magic could be sealed.

Skills could be restricted.

Authorities could be suppressed.

But Shirou Emiya's body could not be sealed. His martial arts could not be taken away.

Under the cultivation of Divine Blessing, every adventurer was, in essence, a nascent War God. Those who could repeatedly descend into the dungeon, survive its horrors, and continuously break through their own limits-who among them lacked the ability to defeat the strong while being weaker themselves?

Especially first-class adventurers.

Every one of them possessed the ability to fight above their level. Some could even cross two ranks.

Many adventurers in this world might not seem particularly outstanding within the framework of Orario or the DanMachi setting. But if they were placed in other adventure worlds, they would undoubtedly become heroic figures.

Shirou Emiya had always believed this.

If those adventurers truly reached LV.10, then sooner or later, they would become existences no different from War Gods.

"Even though I can still use Verethragna's Ten Incarnations for now..."

"It probably won't last long."

"This power will be sealed as well."

Shirou Emiya looked down at his palm, quietly thinking.

He understood this point better than anyone.

The nascent Authorities he had obtained from the Godslayer world were not temporary tools. They were the foundation for his future. The driving force that would allow him to go further than ever before.

Because of that, he intended to use this period to fully master them.

The portions already integrated into Unlimited Blade Works and the Inherent Spiritual Dress did not require his attention. They were already complete.

What truly mattered were the remaining fragments.

Using this opportunity, Shirou Emiya planned to completely grasp the power of miracles. More precisely, he intended to import the remaining nine Incarnations into his magic.

They would become seeds.

Seeds meant to awaken his Third Magic.

For adventurers, the very existence of magic was itself a miracle.

In Shirou Emiya's view, if an adventurer truly walked the Divine Blessing path to its end, then their magic would likely become the embryonic form of their future Authority.

And right now, Shirou Emiya was preparing to skip several steps entirely.

He would use Authorities directly as seeds.

Seeds to induce the nascent form of his own Authority.

"But this takes time."

"And time is something I have plenty of."

"As long as it's completed before I level up."

The sword had already been forged.

What remained was its final transformation.

Based on nothing more than instinct, Shirou Emiya knew that the catalyst for that transformation would be his next level-up.

And he had already chosen the target for that moment.

Gorgon.

"As one of the only six Divine-level Servants in this world, Gorgon is naturally the best target."

Among the six Divine-level Servants currently present, Tiamat stood as the final boss.

Goddesses like Ishtar, Quetzalcoatl, Ereshkigal, and Jaguar Warrior were all firmly on their side. They were indispensable forces in the battles to come.

Only Gorgon remained.

In the original timeline, Gorgon had appeared and helped break Tiamat's horn. But that had never been Gorgon's will.

It had been Ana's.

For Ana, Gorgon was a memory she wished to forget.

If it hadn't been to help Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others, she would never have chosen to transform into that form again.

Shirou Emiya understood that.

Over the time they had spent together, he and Ana had become genuine friends.

Because of that, Shirou Emiya did not want to see her forced back into that state.

After cleaning up the forging room, Shirou Emiya carefully wrapped the Inherent Spiritual Dress-now reduced to little more than an iron rod-in layers of cloth and carried it on his back.

At this stage, it could no longer be stored within his body.

"Everything is ready now."

"All that's left is the east wind."

Pushing open the door of the forging room, Shirou Emiya looked up at the clear blue sky outside.

A faint, expectant smile appeared on his face.

...

"You said you received a mission to investigate the city of Ur?"

After returning from the forging room, Shirou Emiya found Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others already packing their equipment, clearly preparing to depart.

"Isn't that a good thing?"

"Yes!"

Mash spoke with visible excitement. To be entrusted with a task, to be needed-it meant everything to her.

"The King even called Senpai by name."

"Is that so? Then you've earned his recognition, Ritsuka."

"I think so too."

Faced with the back-and-forth praise from Shirou Emiya and Mash, Fujimaru Ritsuka couldn't help but blush. The compliments hit her all at once, leaving her flustered.

Just as she was about to interrupt and change the subject, Shirou Emiya spoke again.

"It's good to be entrusted with important work."

"But don't let that make you careless."

"This is the Age of Gods."

"A goddess could jump out of the jungle at any moment, so be extremely cautious."

Shirou Emiya already knew what awaited them on this journey.

Two goddesses.

Because of that, his reminder carried real weight.

"Yes, Mr. Shirou."

Mash answered seriously, her expression firm.

Seeing this, Merlin let out a light chuckle from the side.

"It's not that easy to just run into a goddess, you know. Even if that region is ruled by a jungle goddess, it would be impressively unlucky for that to happen."

"Hmph."

"You'll see."

Shirou Emiya shot Merlin a brief glance, unimpressed by his carefree tone. Then he turned his attention back to Mash and Fujimaru Ritsuka.

His expression grew earnest.

"If you truly encounter a goddess by accident, try to resolve the situation through conversation first."

"But if the other party refuses to back down..."

"Then call my name."

"I'll come to help you."

"Call your name?"

Fujimaru Ritsuka tilted her head, clearly confused.

"That's right."

Patting her shoulder, Shirou Emiya explained calmly.

"I have the ability to quickly appear by my allies' side."

"The condition is simple."

"You have to call my name."

"When you encounter danger, don't hesitate."

"As long as you call out..."

"I will come and save you."

Looking at the two girls standing before him, Shirou Emiya made his promise.

Quiet.

Certain.

Unwavering.
