As the battle dragged on, Shirou Emiya noticed something unsettling.
Verethragna's injuries were shallow.
They looked severe, but they weren't.
He immediately understood why.
The Camel.
One of the ten incarnations.

Verethragna appeared directly in front of Shirou Emiya, his punch already swinging. Enhanced by the Bull, amplified by divine speed, the blow landed before thought could follow.

Shirou Emiya's mind went blank.
When awareness returned, his body was already flying backward.
"...Damn it."

And Verethragna was there again.
Punches.

An endless chain.

Blood poured from Shirou Emiya's hands as the blade bit into flesh, but his grip didn't loosen.
Verethragna tried to retreat.
Too late.
A staff wrapped in violent wind slammed into him from the side, hurling him away.
The Chaser.
It had fallen earlier, when Shirou Emiya was blown back.
Now it struck cleanly.
With the combo broken, Shirou Emiya finally hit the ground.
He rolled several times before forcing himself upright.
His Sun Wheel Armor was gone.
Shattered.
His body was covered in wounds.
But his stance was steady.
Battle Continuation.
As long as he stood, he could fight.
Without hesitation, Shirou Emiya hurled both the Chaser and the Banisher toward Verethragna, letting them pursue freely.
Divine artifacts were not something he lacked.
In the same motion, he projected Karna's Blade of Immortality.
And charged.
Verethragna, rising in the distance while evading the twin cudgels, saw this and immediately invoked another incarnation.
"The wild boar will crush you!"
"The wild boar will trample you!"
A massive boar manifested, charging forward with earth-shaking force.
Shirou Emiya glanced at it once.
Then removed the bow from his back.
"I'll leave this to you, Little Rimuru."
"Leave it to me!"
Thrown forward, Little Rimuru transformed mid-air into her human form and shot straight toward the giant boar.
Verethragna clicked his tongue.
"If this continues, I'll be pushed back."
He shot upward, creating distance, then activated his divine words once more.
"Chaser and Banisher."
"These weapons were given to Baal by the artisan god Kothar-wa-Khasis."
"Mekal, as Baal, used them to lure the Dragon King Yam from his throne."
"He slew him."
"And through that conquest, he became King of Gods."
A Sword of Wisdom formed.
Its edge targeted authority itself.
In a single strike, Verethragna severed Chaser and Banisher, sealing Shirou Emiya's borrowed power.
But-
Chains erupted from the air.
The Chains of Heaven wrapped around Verethragna's limbs, binding him completely.
On the ground, Shirou Emiya stood straight.
In his hands was the Supreme Divine Spear.
Its tip pointed directly at Verethragna.
"Oh Sun Wheel."
"Obey death."
The divine artifact was fully liberated.
Shirou Emiya hurled the spear with everything he had.
The weapon that had slain Mekal tore through the sky.
"This is it!"
"I win!"
Shirou Emiya shouted.
Bound in chains, Verethragna looked down at the incoming spear.
And smiled.
"...Is that so?"
The smile was calm.
Satisfied.
