"Oh, this is incredible. Twenty longswords, completed instantly."
Looking at the twenty longswords spat out by the slime, Kaijin and the three dwarven brothers were completely stunned.
This was simply too unbelievable.
With enough demonic steel on hand, forging twenty longswords within the remaining few days should have been nearly impossible. After returning from outside and learning this, Rimuru had acted on a sudden idea. He asked Kaijin to first forge a single perfect masterpiece.
Then he swallowed it.
After analyzing the weapon's internal structure, Rimuru used the demonic steel stored inside his body to directly replicate twenty identical longswords.
That was all there was to it.
The scene left Kaijin and the four others completely dumbfounded. None of them had ever imagined that equipment could be produced in such a way. For blacksmiths, this method was nothing short of a devastating blow.
And yet, Kaijin truly lived up to his reputation as a master craftsman.
After carefully examining the replicated weapons, he clenched his fists and declared that one day, he would forge weapons that Rimuru could not replicate no matter what.

After submitting the twenty commissioned weapons, Kaijin enthusiastically dragged Rimuru and the other two toward a tavern to celebrate.
Rimuru, who had no sense of taste, initially planned to refuse.
Then Kaijin spoke.
"That tavern has a lot of big elf sisters."
Rimuru froze.
"Oh? Big elf sisters?" He immediately changed his tone. "Well, if you're that enthusiastic, I guess I can go."
Watching Rimuru beam with excitement, Emiya Shirou waved his hand casually.
"You guys go ahead. I've got some designs I need to work on."
"Huh? Shirou, you're really not going?" Rimuru stared at him. "They're big elf sisters."
"Ha." Emiya Shirou scoffed lightly. "Do you really think I haven't seen things like that before?"
"...Damn it!"
Recalling Emiya Shirou's past words-and remembering that he had once mentioned having relationships with many big elf sisters-Rimuru felt an intense wave of envy.
"Then I won't bother you, you winner at life!"
Turning to Kaijin, Emiya Shirou asked, "Mr. Kaijin, may I use your tools for a bit?"
"Of course. Use them however you like."
"Thanks. In that case..." Emiya Shirou glanced sideways. "Gobta, you stay behind and stoke the fire for me."
"What? No!" Gobta immediately protested. "I want to go see the big elf sisters!"
Despite his fierce resistance, Gobta was ultimately abandoned by Emiya Shirou and forced to remain behind, resigned to stoking the furnace.
"Clang. Clang. Clang."
After an entire day of research and forging, Emiya Shirou finally replicated the longsword Kaijin had crafted earlier.
Through that process, he fully grasped the properties of demonic steel.
Once he moved on to forging his own weapon in earnest, everything would proceed much more smoothly.
"Finally finished."
Emiya Shirou had spent the entire day forging swords.
Gobta had spent the entire day stoking the fire.
The endless repetition left him utterly exhausted.
But rest would have to wait.
Looking at Emiya Shirou casually playing with the longsword in his hand, Gobta hesitated before asking, "Master... Lord Rimuru was captured and taken to the royal palace. Shouldn't we go rescue him?"
The previous night, Kaijin's younger brother, Kaido, had rushed over to inform them.
Rimuru had been arrested while drinking in a tavern, accused of participating in an incident where a minister was beaten.
When Gobta heard the news, panic had immediately set in. If Emiya Shirou hadn't stopped him, he would have already charged into the royal palace by himself.
"Why are you so anxious?" Emiya Shirou replied calmly. "Didn't Rimuru send word telling us not to worry about him?"
Kaido had indeed brought that message.
"But what if something happens to Lord Rimuru?" Gobta's face was full of worry.
"Nothing will happen," Emiya Shirou said flatly. "As long as the king of this city isn't blind, he won't provoke Rimuru."
He paused briefly.
"Others might not be able to see Rimuru's true depth. But the king definitely can."
"So there's no need to worry."
Emiya Shirou's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Of course, if there's any real movement over there, you won't need to urge me. I'll go in and kill them directly."
"I understand!"
Gobta finally calmed down.
Looking at Gobta's worn-out state, Emiya Shirou-who had used him as free labor all day-thought for a moment.
Then he said, "How about we go to the tavern and have some fun?"
"Tavern?!"
Gobta shot to his feet, his eyes instantly lighting up.
"That's right," Emiya Shirou continued. "The same one Rimuru and the others went to earlier. What was its name again?"
"Night Butterfly!" Gobta answered immediately. "It's called Night Butterfly!"
Seeing his apprentice practically bouncing in place, Emiya Shirou smiled.
"Then let's go."
"Yes, Master!"
After closing Kaijin's shop, Emiya Shirou took Gobta straight to the tavern filled with big elf sisters.
Drawn in by Emiya Shirou's natural charm, cute elves quickly surrounded him. With a beautiful woman on each arm and fine wine in his hand, Emiya Shirou gave his decision a wholehearted thumbs up.
This was absolutely the correct choice.
After all, drinking with Kaijin and then beating up a minister were necessary steps to recruit him.
That kind of work should obviously be left to Rimuru.
If Emiya Shirou had been there at the time, he would definitely be sitting in jail right now.
Staggering their schedules like this was much better.
Rimuru could stay in jail.
Emiya Shirou could enjoy himself.
Compared to rotting in a cell, this was far more comfortable.
As for why he still bothered recruiting Kaijin when he himself was a forging master?
The answer was simple.
In an environment where everything was in short supply, if there were no other blacksmiths, Emiya Shirou could already see his future-working nonstop, every day of the year.
That was unacceptable.
His goal was to live comfortably.
Just like Rimuru.
He wasn't here to be a corporate slave.
"How about it, Gobta?" Emiya Shirou asked. "Did I treat you well?"
"Of course!" Gobta replied without hesitation. "Master, you're the best!"
Emiya Shirou smiled back at him, raised his glass, and clinked it against Gobta's.
"Cheers."

"You two bastards! You abandoned me and had fun by yourselves!"
Standing on Emiya Shirou's shoulder, Rimuru roared.
Recalling the tab Emiya Shirou had paid when he dragged them out of the tavern earlier, Rimuru could roughly imagine just how long-and how thoroughly-those two had enjoyed themselves.
Envy.
Pure envy.
Why did they get to enjoy themselves while he had been stuck in jail?
"Didn't you send word yourself telling us to have fun and not rescue you?" Emiya Shirou replied calmly.
"...I did say that, but!"
"But," Emiya Shirou continued, smiling as he looked at Rimuru-who was practically vibrating with jealousy, "don't be angry."
He paused.
"How about this? When we build our own city later, we'll build even more taverns like that."
"How does that sound?"
"...That's awesome!"
Rimuru's anger vanished instantly as he began fantasizing about their future life.
Seeing that Rimuru had calmed down, Emiya Shirou coughed lightly to get his attention.
"So," he asked, "how did the talent recruitment go?"
"Kaijin and the three dwarven brothers are all willing to come back with us," Rimuru replied.
"Now that we've been expelled from the country, the four of them have gone back to pack their things."
"I see," Emiya Shirou said. "Looks like everything went smoothly."
Just like that, amid their casual conversation, the two soon arrived outside Dwargon City.
Kaijin and the others were already waiting.
Emiya Shirou waved with a smile.
"Welcome. From now on, Kaijin-and all of you-welcome aboard."
"Then we'll be relying on you two masters from here on," Kaijin replied with a laugh.
Amid laughter and conversation, the group entered the jungle and reunited with Rigurd, Ranga, and the other monsters who had been waiting for quite some time.
"Did we bring too few mounts?" Rimuru muttered.
Emiya Shirou smiled.
"In that case, I'll take everyone back."
He snapped his fingers.
The next moment, a golden airship appeared before them.
Vimana.
A flying machine from Indian mythology, equipped with ancient nuclear warheads.
"Everyone, get on board," Emiya Shirou said calmly. "We'll fly straight back."
