Knock, knock.
"Is anyone there?" Asher walked to Morgan Le Fay's room and knocked on the door.
There was no reply. The room's owner was either not there or deliberately not opening the door; no one responded for a long while. Considering that she might be changing clothes or something, Asher patiently waited at the door for a few minutes, listening to the rustling rain outside.
"Sister Morgan?" Finally, Asher couldn't bear it anymore. He knocked on the door again, and when there was no reply, he tried saying, "I'm coming in."
He didn't believe Morgan Le Fay would be resting so early. She was either not in the room or deliberately playing with him.
Pushing open the door, the room's decor naturally came into view. The layout was luxurious, with a soft velvet bed and glittering decorations on the display cabinet.
But what caught Asher's attention were the handcuffs placed on the headboard, engraved with strange characters. Besides the handcuffs on the bed, the most striking sight was probably the dozen or so bottles of potions next to them. Pink, red, purple... well, if he had to describe it, it could probably form a rainbow.
"Are these Sister Morgan's potions?" Asher muttered to himself. He picked up a pink potion and gently sniffed it at his nose. A very fragrant scent entered his nostrils, making his mind feel a bit muddled. "Doesn't feel like anything good..." Asher quickly became wary, put down the pink potion, and then picked up another red one to look at.
"Wine-flavored?" Why would this red potion smell like wine? And it felt exactly like the wine they drank that night?
Just as Asher was still pondering, a voice suddenly came from behind him without warning. "I was wondering how a thief dared to sneak into my room, turns out it's you. Sneaking into someone else's room is bad behavior, you know."
Asher, caught completely off guard, couldn't help but shiver. He instinctively turned around to see Morgan Le Fay standing in the doorway, dressed in a light golden, thin dress. After observing Asher for a few moments, she used her right middle finger to push a strand of hair behind her ear. "What? Is it strange to see me in my own room?"
As she said this, her gaze quickly fell on the potion Asher had quietly put back on the headboard, her eyes flickering slightly.
"Did you need something from me? It's rare for you to specifically come to my room to find me."
"I just came to see you..." Asher didn't know why, but he found it difficult to even bring himself to ask Morgan Le Fay for clothes, so he changed the subject. "Sister Morgan, what were those potions just now?"
"Just some toys for entertainment. The purple bottle is a truth serum used to interrogate prisoners, the green bottle will corrode the stomach if consumed, and the pink one has a slight aphrodisiac effect. In short, they're just small things," Morgan replied casually.
"Are those 'small things'?!" Asher complained. He paused slightly, then asked, "What about the red one?"
"The red one..." Morgan Le Fay said faintly, "Just ordinary red wine. I haven't had time to adjust it yet. If you don't believe me, you can try a little sip."
"I'll pass," Asher shook his head. Who would casually try such a potion? Isn't that just asking for trouble? Who knew if the red wine in that bottle had been adjusted by Morgan Le Fay.
"Taste it, do you think I'd harm you, dear?" Morgan Le Fay said with a smile.
That line sounded really familiar... Asher muttered to himself, picked up the red potion, sniffed it again, and after opening the cap, tried a small sip. Immediately, his eyes widened in surprise as he looked at Morgan. "This is the one we drank that night?"
"So you remember," Morgan Le Fay smiled, not denying it.
"It really was an aphrodisiac..." Asher said, then felt the changes in his body, but it seemed drinking only a little wouldn't have much effect.
"The wine you drank that night wasn't an aphrodisiac, don't make it sound like I secretly tricked you into bed," Morgan Le Fay said slowly.
"The wine I gave you that night was just ordinary red wine meant to set the mood. You couldn't resist simply because you desired my body."
Asher: "..." Sister Morgan, don't be so blunt.
Looking at Asher's somewhat embarrassed expression, Morgan Le Fay, with slender fingers twirling a strand of her hair, walked over and sat down on the bed. "Since you specifically came to find me, sit down first. Don't be so formal. Are you afraid I'll do something bad to you?"
Why did that sound so strange? If someone were to do something bad... it should be me, right? Asher mumbled inwardly, but didn't immediately sit down. Instead, he subconsciously glanced at the handcuffs on the headboard. To be honest, he was very curious about the writing on those handcuffs. Also, what exactly did Morgan Le Fay usually tinker with in her room? Potions and handcuffs...
Noticing Asher's gaze, Morgan Le Fay glanced back slightly, gently covered the handcuffs with the blanket, and looked up at Asher: "Are you here to chat with me?"
Asher nodded gently. Later, when they were chatting, he could casually bring up borrowing clothes. If he said it directly now, Sister Morgan might not lend them to him.
"Still not satisfied after your evening rendezvous with your Shishou?" Morgan then asked.
Asher's heart secretly skipped a beat. How did Sister Morgan know even that? Could she have been secretly following him and his Shishou the whole time?!
"Don't worry, I wasn't following you," Morgan Le Fay sighed faintly.
"It just so happened that I saw you and your Shishou go out today." As Morgan Le Fay finished speaking, she looked up at Asher, her eyes filled with resentment, looking as pitiful as a heartbroken widow. One had to admit, this decisive empress, paired with such sorrowful eyes, was incredibly impactful, causing Asher's heart to uncontrollably speed up.
Morgan Le Fay feigned indifference to Asher's reaction, crossed her legs, and after a moment of self-reflection, spoke, "You're probably not here just to chat with me, are you?"
"It just rained, and you and Scathach only went to the garden a short while ago. Plus, you changed your clothes... If I'm not mistaken, you two probably got caught in the rain, and your Shishou doesn't have any clothes. You're here to borrow clothes from me, aren't you?"
She could even guess that? Sister Morgan's deductive reasoning was simply too strong. Asher couldn't help but marvel, looking at Morgan Le Fay sitting on the bed. "Since Sister Morgan already knows, then I don't need to hide it. Can I borrow a set of clothes?"
"Do you think you can?" Morgan Le Fay countered.
"Should be fine, right?" Asher tried to say, "I think the kind and gentle Sister Morgan wouldn't fuss over something like this..."
"Pfft!" Morgan Le Fay couldn't help but laugh. She managed to suppress her laughter, then raised her chin and pointed to the wardrobe not far away. "Pick something yourself."
