After Agravain led a few knights away with the four foreign tribe assassins, Morgan Le Fay turned to Asher, a look of lingering fear on her face.

"That was truly terrifying. I thought I was going to be in trouble, Big Sister was so scared."

Her voice sounded genuinely full of lingering fear, but it sent shivers down everyone's spines. Even Artoria looked at her Imperial Sister with a strange expression.

From the beginning, she had thought her Imperial Sister was a very serious and diligent woman, but now she couldn't look directly at her Imperial Sister. Especially when Imperial Sister was with Asher, it always felt like her demeanor completely changed.

Looking at Morgan Le Fay as she walked towards him, Asher couldn't help but retort,

"Sister Morgan, the tone of your voice right now is far more terrifying than those foreign tribesmen..."

Hearing Asher's words, Scathach inadvertently let out a faint smile. Although she didn't speak, Asher's words clearly pleased her greatly.

"Now even Asher dares to tease me. It seems you're emboldened with your Shishou around," Morgan Le Fay reached out and pinched Asher's mouth, completely lacking the murderous aura she had just moments ago.

"But in that case, this operation was a success, right?" Asher tried to change the subject.

"It wasn't just a success; it was a huge gain. We should be able to dig out a lot of information from those few."

As Morgan Le Fay finished speaking, a dangerous smile appeared on her face,

"I hope they can be tough."

Upon seeing such a tone and smile, let alone those foreign tribesmen, even Asher couldn't help but shiver.

Even though he had never seen Morgan torture anyone, he had heard more or less about the legends of "witches." Those legends might have exaggerated elements, but from the day he met Vortigern, he could somewhat guess.

I hope they can endure... Asher thought.

He wasn't so sympathetic to those foreign tribesmen; he was just worried that if they died without revealing any information, it would be troublesome.

"You two go back to the hall first. Staying out too long will make others suspicious," Morgan glanced at Scathach.

"As for you... you can go back now if you want. The foreign tribes have been captured, and there's nothing left for you to do."

Asher's eyelids twitched slightly as he looked at the woman beside him. He wanted to persuade Shishou to stay, but the words stuck in his throat, unspoken. He could only sigh inwardly.

After all, Scathach was the Queen of the Land of Shadows; she couldn't stay here forever. Now that the foreign tribes had been captured, she naturally had no reason to stay.

Morgan silently watched Asher, then a smile quickly spread across her face. She glanced at Scathach,

"Once you go back, it'll be my turn... Heh heh..."

Although her words were unfinished, a hint of coldness unconsciously appeared on Scathach's face. She glanced at Morgan Le Fay, then averted her gaze.

"Let's go back tomorrow," after a moment, she looked at Asher and Uathach, a hint of softness in her eyes.

Asher looked up in pleasant surprise, and Uathach also grabbed Scathach's hand,

"Really, Mom?"

"When have I ever lied to you?" Scathach stroked Uathach's head, then continued teasingly,

"If I had to say, yes, I used to often tell you that if you left the Land of Shadows, you'd be carried off by demonic beasts, so don't run around."

"It's because you often said such things that I still don't dare run around at night now." A hint of complaint appeared in Uathach's eyes as she hugged her mother's soft body, seemingly acting spoiled.

Asher watched all this, a slight curve unconsciously appearing at the corner of his mouth. He breathed a sigh of relief.

Even one night was better than them leaving right now.

But why did Sister Morgan's words just now sound like she was deliberately provoking Shishou?

Asher thought of this and subconsciously glanced at Morgan Le Fay.

Morgan Le Fay clearly noticed Asher's gaze. She blinked, gave him a mysterious smile.

Was she really deliberately making Shishou stay?

Asher's eyes became even more confused as he thought of this.

What was the point of her doing this? Was she planning to do something to Shishou tonight? Or... was she specifically leaving Shishou behind just for him?

Was Sister Morgan really that kind?

"Who's hiding there?"

Just as Asher thought this, he suddenly heard Morgan's cold voice. Her gaze was locked on a certain direction.

Asher looked in the direction Morgan Le Fay was staring. There was a stone pillar not far away, and behind it, a small corner of clothing was exposed.

Upon hearing Morgan's voice, the person clearly startled and quickly stepped forward, intending to slip back into the hall. But Asher was quick-eyed and quick-footed, stepping forward to block the person.

It was a seemingly very unfamiliar woman, with long platinum-blonde hair flowing over her shoulders, and transparent, deer-like eyes filled with panic. Just at first glance, she gave off a feeling of fragility.

"Who are you?" Asher felt a bit tricky when he saw this girl.

If this unfamiliar girl heard their conversation just now and it spread to others, it would ultimately be troublesome.

Should he detain her...?

"Let me see which ignorant little brat is secretly hiding here to eavesdrop?" Morgan slowly walked behind Asher, looking at the girl in front of her.

She suddenly froze.

"It's you." Morgan's previously cold voice immediately relaxed quite a bit.

"Do you know her, Princess Morgan?" Asher turned to ask.

He generally wouldn't directly address Morgan as "sister" when outsiders were present. Morgan had warned him before that she temporarily didn't want others to know their relationship was good.

"Of course I know her. Rather, it would be strange if I didn't," Morgan hadn't even finished speaking when she heard the consistently quiet girl speak.

"You really forgot me, didn't you?" Her voice sounded as clear as a lark's, and her eyes stared straight at Asher.

"Oh my, oh my? Another girl you know?" Morgan looked at Asher in surprise,

"I can't believe it. When did you meet her?"

Scathach and Uathach had also arrived beside Asher at some point. They looked at the girl with no escape route, then at Asher. Although they didn't speak, the questioning look in their eyes was already a strong sense of pressure.

Asher looked at the girl in front of him.

She had an exquisite face, long platinum-blonde hair flowing over her shoulders, fair skin, and luminous, deer-like eyes.

"I have no recollection at all. Are you mistaken? If it were such a striking person, I shouldn't have absolutely no impression." After carefully searching his mind for a while, Asher shook his head.

"We just danced together, did you forget?" The girl brushed her long hair off her shoulder, her mouth slightly puffed out, a hint of complaint in her eyes.

"Just because someone changed their appearance and voice, you can't recognize them? King Arthur isn't all that great after all."

Asher: "???"

It would be demonic if he could recognize someone after they changed their appearance and voice. Wait... just danced together?

"Are you Guinevere?" Asher tried to ask.

"Who else could it be besides me?" A hint of indignation appeared on Guinevere's face. She had noticed Asher and another unfamiliar woman leaving earlier. Out of curiosity, she followed them out to take a look, and ended up witnessing the fight and vaguely hearing some of the conversation.

Although she hadn't heard much, she could somewhat guess what was happening.

"I never expected King Leodegrance's daughter to be hiding here and eavesdropping. That's quite surprising," Morgan Le Fay looked at the girl in front of her.

"I won't do anything to you, but I hope you can stay here for a while. Is that alright?"

"Is this imprisonment?" Guinevere paused, then looked at Asher.

"Alright, for King Arthur's sake, I will inform my attendants, and we will leave Camelot after your matters here are resolved. Is that acceptable?"

"That would be good," Morgan said with a smile.

"Then I'll go deal with those foreign tribesmen. Lily, can you arrange accommodation for them? Is that alright?"

Artoria nodded,

"Leave it to me."

By now, she had slowly grown accustomed to her role as court attendant. She was much more proficient in handling matters than when she first started. This small task was easily achievable.

"Please follow me," Artoria bowed slightly, expressing her respect to the three guests.

"I want the room next to Ash's!" Uathach raised her hand.

"The room next door..." Artoria was slightly troubled. Currently, the rooms next to Asher's were Milo's on one side and her own on the other. Milo's side was naturally impossible. If that were the case, she would have to sleep with Uathach.

"If you don't mind sleeping with me, then I have no objections," considering the other party was Asher's sister, Artoria still politely but implicitly refused the offer.

"Alright," Uathach said with a grin.

Artoria: "..."

Why is this girl as blunt as Asher?

"I'll be going first," Morgan Le Fay glanced at the others whose attention was completely focused on Artoria. She leaned down and whispered to Asher,

"See you tonight."

After speaking, she glanced at Scathach, who had already noticed them, a seductive and captivating smile on her face, then drifted away.

Scathach merely glanced at Morgan Le Fay, a disdainful smile on her face.

"Boring."

---

The ball ended smoothly. Although the nobles were curious as to why King Arthur hadn't appeared later, they didn't find it strange when they thought it might have been due to that special magic that they hadn't seen him.

Asher and Artoria led a few people through the palace. After arranging Guinevere's room, they brought Scathach and Uathach to a room near Asher's.

"This is my room," Artoria opened the door and turned to look at Uathach, only to find her smiling at her.

"What's wrong?" Artoria asked, puzzled, feeling a little uncomfortable under Uathach's gaze.

"Nothing, I just wanted to have a good chat with you tonight," Uathach waved her small hand, indicating not to worry.

She was still very interested in what had happened to Asher here.

Asher glanced at Artoria, whose expression seemed a bit uneasy, and patted Artoria's shoulder,

"Lily, I'll leave my sister to you then."

After speaking, he looked at Scathach next to him,

"Shishou, I'll take you to that room over there."

Scathach nodded slightly, her gaze sweeping around. She simply commented,

"The geographical environment is better than the Land of Shadows, but the palace looks pretty much the same."

"It's indeed similar, but I'm still a bit unaccustomed to it here," Asher smiled.

"I slept very uncomfortably on the first day."

The two chatted as they walked along the corridor. Just then, a pink-haired girl happened to pass by. When she saw Asher, a hint of joy appeared in her eyes, but upon seeing Scathach, that joy immediately lessened slightly, though she still wore a smile.

"Arthur, I wanted to invite you to dance today, but there was no opportunity."

"Good evening, Sir Milo," Asher greeted with a smile.

"I have something to attend to, so let's chat another time."

Milo glanced at the woman next to Asher again, smiled and nodded to Scathach, then walked past Asher.

She had heard about Scathach earlier when she was outside and knew that she was King Arthur's Teacher, so she naturally wouldn't be wary. If she had to be wary of King Arthur's Teacher, then the path to conquering King Arthur would be too arduous.

"Milo is a tribal leader. She previously offered to hand over her territory to me, on the condition that she could reside in Camelot Castle," Asher explained to Scathach.

"A tribal leader, willingly handing over her territory to you?" A hint of confusion appeared in Scathach's eyes.

"I know what Shishou means, but I'm not clear on her intentions yet," Asher said.

"But no matter how I think about it, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Moreover, she has helped me quite a bit so far and hasn't done anything to harm Britain. So, for now, she can be tentatively considered trustworthy."

Scathach nodded slightly,

"It's good that you've thought it through yourself."

In any case, these were Asher's political affairs, and she shouldn't interfere. And since he wasn't haphazardly agreeing to others, it would be better for Asher to proceed according to his own thoughts.

"This is it, Shishou."

Asher quickly led Scathach to a room and pushed open the door. The decor was similar to the other rooms, though perhaps the only drawback was that it was still a little distance from his own room.

Watching Scathach walk inside, Asher hesitated for a moment.

Should he follow her in?

But if he went in now, what would he even say to Shishou?

…No, it's perfectly normal for a reunited Shishou and disciple to want some time alone.

Probably…

Thinking that, Asher followed her inside.

Scathach sat on the edge of the bed and looked at him with a strange expression. "Is there something you want to ask?"

Asher shook his head. "You're leaving tomorrow, so I just wanted to talk a little while we still can."

"Then come here." Scathach's voice was calm but inviting.

With her approval, Asher moved closer and sat beside her. Whether it was the long-awaited reunion or simply being alone together in a quiet room, an inexplicable nervousness gripped him.

"You seem tense," Scathach observed easily, noticing his stiff expression.

She reached out, her slightly cool fingers gently brushing his face. "Relax a bit. If you don't, we won't get to talk at all."

"Yes." Under her soothing touch, Asher's tension began to ebb away.

"What should we talk about?" Scathach glanced at him thoughtfully. "Before, when we were alone, you would tell stories. Let's do that again."

Asher nodded. Before he could speak, Scathach's tone shifted.

"But this time, tell your own story. I want to hear what happened to you here."

"My own story… it's a bit hard to tell," Asher sighed. "What if I exaggerate too much and Shishou thinks I'm bragging?"

"Stories always have some exaggeration," Scathach said as she rose and opened the window. Moonlight poured in, and the night breeze softly lifted her long hair.

She returned to her seat, a gentle smile on her face. "Alright, you can start."

Since she said so much, Asher began. From the moment he first discovered Britain's secrets to the moment he pulled the Caliburn from the stone. His purpose was simply to spend time with Shishou—the topic was secondary.

"That Trial Bridge leads to Britain's small island?" Scathach fell into deep thought.

Morgan must have been scheming even then.

As for pulling out Caliburn… it was quite interesting. It did not betray the spirit of a true warrior. That courage deserved praise.

Time slipped by unnoticed. Eventually, Asher yawned suddenly, tears welling in his eyes.

"Tired?" Scathach smiled softly, wiping his tears away with her fingers. "It's late. You should get some rest."

Night had come so quickly?

Asher's sleepiness faded slightly, and his spirits lifted—but he still didn't move.

"We're not parting forever. You said you'd probably be back in a few months, right?" Scathach smiled kindly, noticing his reluctance.

When he still didn't get up, she teased, "What's wrong? Want to sleep with me too?"

Asher's heart skipped a beat. He hadn't expected Shishou to joke like that.

"Just kidding. Is it really so wrong for Shishou and disciple to joke like this?" She smiled, eyes glinting with helplessness.

No matter what, they were Shishou and disciple. Such jokes shouldn't be made.

"Alright, go back quickly," she urged once more.

Asher nodded silently, but still didn't move.

If he went back now, he probably wouldn't see Scathach again in the morning.

Just the thought made him unwilling to leave.

Scathach watched him quietly, reading the expression on his face. She knew without thinking—he didn't want to leave at all.

Still clingy as ever…

Looking at him now, he was practically a spoiled child.

Her smile softened. She placed a hand on his head and gently pressed him closer, resting his head perfectly on her lap. "If you don't want to go back, then rest a little longer. Is that alright?"

From long ago, whenever Asher couldn't sleep, he liked to come to her and rest his head on her lap, slowly drifting off. He said it made him feel relaxed.

And from his current expression, he truly was relaxed now.

Feeling the softness of her thigh against his cheek, Asher slowly closed his eyes.

"Mm."

Neither spoke again. Asher lay there, and sleepiness washed over him like a gentle tide.

Just as he was about to drift off, he suddenly felt a cool touch on his neck—fingers brushing against it lightly.

Asher tried to open his eyes, but the heaviness of sleep kept them mostly closed. He barely made out Scathach's outline.

Her fingers traced the fading mark on his neck. The calm on her face slowly faded. Though she still smiled faintly, a hint of anger flickered in her eyes.

That woman… truly stops at nothing to get what she wants.

Scathach stared at the fading mark on Asher's neck.

Even Rune Magic couldn't heal this kind of wound. It would only fade naturally with time.

Or… a new mark could be placed over it.

She gazed at the mark thoughtfully. Then, slowly, she lowered her head, her soft lips coming close to Asher's neck—

But stopped just a breath away.

"If I do that, wouldn't I be no different from that woman?"

She sighed softly, eyes locked on Asher's peaceful sleeping face.

At that moment, a cold gust blew in from outside. Asher shivered, opening his eyes quietly.

Scathach's expression froze. From the way she was leaning, it looked like she had been about to kiss him.

"Sorry, I accidentally fell asleep…"

Asher's grogginess melted instantly into alertness. He stared at his Shishou, so close to him—the scent of her hair, her alluring red eyes glowing softly in the moonlight.

No matter how he looked at it, the scene was full of misunderstanding.

Asher lay on Scathach's lap, his head slightly lowered, while Scathach seemed to lean down as if to kiss her apprentice.

Something Asher had never dared to imagine—yet now it was happening.

Scathach's lips, soft and slightly parted, held a tempting allure. Her usually cold red eyes shimmered with moisture, her exquisite face glowing faintly silver in the moonlight, like a goddess descended to earth.

Asher's eyes widened in a daze.

Under his gaze, Scathach's mouth moved slightly—but she didn't know what to say.

She could gallop on the battlefield, slaughter enemies without hesitation, command armies with unshakable strategy—but now, faced with her apprentice, she was at a loss.

Just as she gathered her thoughts, the young man on her lap suddenly wrapped his arms around her neck.

In her widening eyes, Asher's face leaned closer—and as if moved by some divine impulse, his lips pressed against hers.

Scathach's pupils dilated, disbelief written all over her face.

Asher felt the same disbelief.

…He had actually kissed Shishou?!

He knew it was wrong, but his desire was overwhelming.

And though it was a reckless move—

It was exactly as he had imagined before.

Shishou's lips were so soft, so fragrant.
