How long has it been? Since the last time I saw the outside world?
I raised my bloody head high and stared at the chains attached to the ceiling, keeping my arms raised high above my head.
Why did it come to this? Does the Lord God saviour have no mercy for a meager nun like me? Has he forsaken me? For I was violently defiled by someone whom I thought I could trust?
Why did this have to happen to me? I prayed every day and begged for his help, but nothing came.
As much as I want to deny it, my faith is slowly wavering. I can no longer keep up with whatever is going on with me right now.
I just want to die.
My face hurts from the sickening blows he delivered on them. My lower body hurts from the countless hours of non-stop degrading and the unknown chemicals he pumped into me.
I can't handle it anymore. Somebody, please don't save me. Just…kill me. End my suffering!
Creak!
Suddenly, the door cracks open, letting a small amount of light seep through the dark room.
My horror-filled eyes stared at the widening gap and there he was. Smiling as usual, flashing me with an innocent smile that became the sole reason I found myself trusting him back then.
"N-No more…" My body started to shiver, my croaking voice begging for him. To put an end to everything.
And then there it was. That innocent-looking smile turned hideous as he grinned at me, "Shina-chann~" he cooed, approaching me slowly. Even his filthy mouth taints the very same name that my parents took pride in.
"For some reason, I just can't help but keep coming back here~ your body is so amazing that I can't just help myself, you know? Ahh~ or maybe it's your reaction that kept me hooked for days!"
My shivering starts to intensify as he starts to remove his clothes. Preparing himself to degrade me, use me, and humiliate me.
I closed my eyes. Hoping that all of this would just end already. A small part of me was hoping that once he's done. He'll grow bored and kill me after.
However, after a few seconds of nothing but darkness from my closed eyes. I noticed something strange.
Is he perhaps gathering his torture device again? Or was he waiting for me to open my eyes so he could start already?
So many questions ran rampant inside my mind but what happened next was beyond expectations.
"You can open your eyes now. Everything will be okay…" A different voice graced my ears. Soft and warm filled with sheer gentleness that contradicts Diodora's smug and arrogant voice.
When I slowly opened my eyes, a small part of my heart was thinking that this was just one of his tricks to play with my mind and destroy my hope.
But to my surprise. My captor was lying on the ground, his eyes were still open and staring at me but they're bloodshot. His posture was paralyzed in the form of taking off his clothes.
When I raised my head, there he was. Another man I'm unfamiliar with. Yet unlike Diodora, this man reeks of a warm presence. As if being near him removes all the tension in my fragile body.
My shoulders relaxed and my eyelids started to droop. Extreme fatigue from the constant torture and sleepless nights finally took a toll on me.
I don't care anymore. When I saw Diodora being like that and someone I didn't recognize was standing right in front of me, emanating a gentle presence. I can't hold myself any longer and darkness took over my vision.
———
Kenshin gently carried the poor woman after taking off her chains where a bloody mark can be seen on her wrists. A testament to her suffering and attempts to resist.
His blood started to boil and his eyes were glaring at the paralyzed Diodora Astaroth on the ground. He's gonna make sure that he'll be repaid a thousand times for what he's doing.
Walking outside the torture room where countless dead bodies and splattered blood were scattered across the hallway, Kenshin made his way up the flight of stairs, arriving at a bedroom and laying the naked woman with bruises and injuries all over her face and body on the bed.
"Sleep. You've been through enough already." He muttered as he cast his strongest recovery spell, healing not just the internal and external body but also cleansing her mind and soul.
By cleansing the mind, it doesn't mean it'll remove the traumatic memories of what happened to her, what the cleansing does is to wipe the emotional distress she felt during the traumatic experience so whenever she recalls it, she'll simply view it like how one would normally see a random memory.
Kenshin then stopped, his hand making its way to her solar plexus. Just to clarify, he's not being a pervert here.
Instead, he planted his palm and closed his eyes.
It only took him a single second before opening them back up and cursing under his breath, "Fucking asshole. He turned her into a devil…"
A nun, one of the church's believers and God's faithful servants was turned into the very same being that their doctrines despise the most.
Kenshin can't imagine what that feels like for a nun.
"Sick bastard. I'll enjoy making him suffer from this." He swore in his heart as he stood back up and left the room. Saunteering towards the torture room where he left the paralyzed Diodora Astaroth.
Now, you might ask how he got here?
A few hours ago, he crossed the Barbatos clan territory, finding nothing notable there except for an empty abandoned estate as large as a small village.
He found nothing notable in it except for a few stray devils that he found to be lingering and hiding, making camp deep in the forest.
Kenshin didn't bother himself with them. As long as they stay here in the Underworld and don't cause trouble on the surface, they're safe from him.
After passing through the Barbatos clan, he arrived at the capital city of the Astaroth clan, Roth City. Kenshin didn't know whether he should laugh or cry about such a plain name that they obviously just shortened from their name, Astaroth.
Unfortunately for him, the name Roth City truly deserves its name as the heir of the Astaroth clan is rotten after gathering the necessary information in the capital city.
Diodora Astaroth.
From the information he got about him, the devil was rumored to fancy nuns in his peerage, a small group of devils that follows a certain master, or in their terms, a King.
Kenshin instantly felt like something was wrong. There's no way a devil would like to invite nuns into his peerage and not to mention, there's no way in hell the man would be able to get some nuns to follow him as their master.
One or two is understandable as humans tend to get seduced by the promise of power and longevity but an entire squad of 16 comprised of nothing but nuns?
Kenshin immediately knew what was happening. This Diodora Astaroth was forcing the nuns to join through either blackmail or other means.
True to his expectations. When he scouted the large mansion belonging to him, Kenshin took an entire hour to dismantle the combined defensive hieroglyphics, runes, and other sealing techniques plastered all over the walls of the mansion.
Kenshin just knows who exactly made them all.
Ajuka Beelzebub. According to his stolen memories, before being appointed as a Satan, the man belonged to the Astaroth clan. Known for his high IQ, incredibly intelligent, and being the second strongest Satan out of the four current and the previous ones.
Look at how it took him an hour to decipher everything including the alarm setups that would send a signal to Ajuka that his runes and glyphs were taken down. Having a maxed-out skill related to runes and yet taking that amount of time speaks highly of the man's capabilities.
And that's the type of people Kenshin doesn't want to mess with. Smart people are just a hassle and harder to deal with than those who simply brute force their way in life with their powerful strengths.
Nevertheless, that doesn't make him scared of Ajuka. He's had his fair share of dealings with smart people back in the world of Fantazio. Some seek world domination, while others covet his strength.
As a matter of fact, it's been a while since Kenshin was mentally challenged when it comes to outsmarting an opponent.
And lo and behold. It seems he'll quite be making an enemy out of Ajuka when he discovered the chilling activities inside the mansion, Kenshin's blood turned cold and his face indifferent.
Coated in a camouflage spell, Kenshin made his way to the basement where he was instantly hit with the foul smell of sweat, blood, and other bodily odor.
What he found inside made him clench his fist in anger. There were mangled corpses of women, still wearing their nun outfits. What truly made Kenshin angry about this was how each of them was crucified on the walls and ceiling—mocking their religion and faith.
Kenshin might not be a devout believer but that doesn't mean he should treat those who are, differently.
Human is human no matter which god they believe in.
And Kenshin is a human, no matter how strong he is and his entire existence is out of logic, he still sees himself as one.
Unfortunately, his energy output isn't large enough to enact a True Resurrection spell to cast on the dead nuns or else he would've done so long ago.
So after taking down Diodora Astaroth who was just about to take pleasure in his sickening activity with a paralyzing spell that could stun even a god himself, Kenshin saved the last remaining nun.
And now he's back at the torture room again. Staring at the paralyzed Diodora Astaroth who was glaring at him.
What's fascinating about what Kenshin did to him was how Diodora is still conscious and aware of what's being done to him. All of his senses are still active.
"I'm going to enjoy doing this to you, you sick fucker." Kenshin calmly approached the paralyzed devil, hoisted him on his shoulders, and closed the door.
Soon, the entire room was filled with painful screams and gut-wrenching sounds of flesh and organs being squashed and torn apart.
By the time Kenshin emerged from the torture room, he was casting several cleaning spells over him. His face lacks emotion as he casually shuts the door again.
Whatever happened inside, let whoever finds it witness what happens when judgment is done from his very own hand.
———
It took almost a hundred rings before Ajuka sighed in defeat and answered the call with annoyance plastered on his face.
"Didn't Sirzechs tell everyone that I'll be busy and no one shall disturb me?"
To his confusion, he was answered by ragged breathing followed by a panicking voice, "L-Lord Beelzebub! Y-You're brother, Lord Diodora was…He was killed in his own home!"
By the time the words were finished, Ajuka was already gone from his place. Transferring from his laboratory thousands of miles away from civilization to the Astaroth household.
He was greeted by several devils marching all over the front porch, their panic-filled faces turned even worse when they saw him appear.
"L-L-Lord Beelzeb—!"
Ajuka interrupted the man, there's no time to waste, "Take me to him."
"Y-Yes!"
As they strode through the bloody hallway, Ajuka's gaze remained straight, not even giving a glance to the dead bodies on the ground.
When they reached a certain room with an open door, Ajuka squinted his eyes as he slightly raised his head.
In front of him, his little brother, Diodora Astaroth, the only heir of the Astaroth clan was crucified in the most stomach-churning way possible.
One long metal bar was pierced vertically from Diodora's mangled mess of a private part while the other end exits from his mouth.
Meanwhile, another same-looking bar was piercing him horizontally from his left palm and exiting on the right palm, putting his arms spread wide open
On the wall behind him, a huge text is written in what Ajuka assumed to be Diodora's blood.
