"Hmm? What happened, Mother? Did you hear a joke? Why are you laughing so loudly?"
Lucien asked as he opened the door, only to find his mother laughing uncontrollably. Then he saw that in front of her sat Sera, looking shy, while Cedric wore a proud expression.
'Did I walk in at the wrong time or what?' He thought, feeling a little out of place.
"Cough... cough... Lucien, it's you."
Seraphine almost choked on her laughter at Lucien's sudden entrance but managed to compose herself with a few coughs.
"Why are you barging in like that? Can't you knock?"
Cedric scolded feeling surrprised, making Lucien smile awkwardly.
"Sorry, I didn't think of that. Mom, are you alright?"
Lucien asked as he picked up a glass of water from the table and handed it to her. He also signaled for Liora and Lilith to come inside, as standing in the doorway felt improper.
"Yes, I'm fine. Don't worry."
Seraphine waved her hand to reassure him and took a sip from the glass.
