"Whatever it takes, I am going to do it," he announced as he walked back into the sanctuary, acting as though he hadn't just challenged a Grandmaster.
The walk back into the sanctuary made his head spin, and for a moment, he could barely see anything. He tripped, almost falling to the ground, but fortunately for him, Kael was already by his side.
"You are still healing and need to rest," Kael whispered as he caught him in his arms and delicately wrapped an arm around his waist.
Ryn shook his head and gently removed Kael's hand from around his waist. Then, he raised his arm, showing the aether marks—particularly the last one belonging to Veyr, which had almost completely faded.
"I need to save him, so please tell me…" he paused, rubbing his aching forehead. "Where is he?"
Kael drew closer and grabbed his hand. "I believe you should worry about yourself first instead of someone else."
