Veyr
The orb light had led him straight to where Ryn was as soon as he stepped through the portal, and he had arrived just in time to see Ryn falling into the sea of fire and caught him before it could happen.
"Veyr, Veyr, you are here," Ryn muttered, and Veyr almost screamed out in excitement at hearing his voice after being apart for so long.
A rush of déjà vu swept through his body, and while he tried to savor the moment with him, he felt a pair of eyes staring at him intensely.
A fireball shot toward him, aiming for Ryn, but immediately, he spun Ryn around and countered the attack, striking out with his free hand. Water burst forward, quenching the flames before crashing into Chen's chest.
"How did you get in here!" Chen shouted. "I sealed that portal. No one should be able to enter!"
Veyr chuckled and took in Chen's appearance. He had never imagined the creature would possess the boy, and his first thought was that the boy might be behind the attack.
