"That was quite a scene," Sylas muttered as Ryn slammed the door shut behind them. "What's a prince doing in a place like this? Shouldn't he be in a different hall?"
The question gnawed at Veyr as well. He couldn't comprehend why the Prince of Verolona would choose to stay in such a modest hall when more prestigious ones were available for someone of his rank.
Unless there was a reason why he was suddenly there.
But Veyr's mind wasn't entirely on the prince. He was desperate to hear Ryn's answer about who he truly cared for most among them.
In most cases, Veyr wouldn't care about the answers but since it involved all three of them, he needed answers to figure out who he was in Ryn's heart.
"So, what's your answer?" Kael demanded, his voice sharp with impatience, speaking the question Veyr held back.
That was the only thing Veyr liked Kael for. He would never give up on asking questions.
