Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 {Pick Up Track}

Vivi closed the door to her room softly behind her, leaning against it for a moment as she took a deep breath. The familiar scent of her room, a mix of lavender and old books, enveloped her like a comforting blanket. She set Tun Tun down gently, watching as the small dog circled twice before settling on the plush bed in the corner.

Moving to her desk, Vivi pulled out a small, ornate box from the bottom drawer. Inside lay a collection of mementos a worn photograph of her and Zing as children, a ticket stub from their first movie together, a tiny, handpainted figurine he had given her for her birthday. Each item represented a cherished memory, a testament to the unbreakable bond they shared.

As she traced her fingers over the objects, a soft knock sounded at her door.

Zing pushed the door open and fell on Vivi bed and started whining. He is 17 years old yet he complained and pouted.

"Sis I swear I will be rich and spoil you rotten!"

"I will wait! I want food, and sweets!"

Vivi sighed softly, a fond smile tugging at her lips as she watched Zing flop onto her bed. She set the box aside and climbed in beside him, pulling him into a gentle hug.

"You're already rich to me, you know," she murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of his head.

"You have my heart, and that's worth more than all the money in the world."

She reached over to the nightstand, grabbing a bag of candy she had stashed away for moments like these. She poured some into Zing's palm, her fingers brushing against his.

"There, now you can have your sweets. But remember, no telling Mom and Dad, okay? They'll think I'm spoiling you too much."

Vivi settled back against the pillows, pulling Zing closer.

"Sister let's watch Harry Potter," Zing said. Vivi nodded her head as she tapped a screen and flat screen tv came out from the wall and she put on Harry Potter.

As the familiar theme music of Harry Potter filled the room, Vivi snuggled down into the pillows, Zing tucked securely against her side. She absently fed him candy as the movie played, her own hand occasionally drifting to the yin yang bracelet on her wrist, a habit she'd developed over the years.

Both did not know when they fall asleep but when they woke up it was annoying loud knock from a servant who didn't respect Vivi at all and spoke to her rudely.

Vivi's eyes snapped open, her peaceful slumber shattered by the abrupt knocking and the rude servant's voice. She blinked, momentarily disoriented, before her gaze fell on Zing's sleeping form curled up against her. With a gentle sigh, she carefully extricated herself from his embrace, making sure he remained asleep.

She padded silently to the door, her expression darkening as she flung it open. The servant, a middleaged woman with a sour face, recoiled slightly at Vivi's sudden appearance.

"What is it?" Vivi demanded, her voice low and icy. She crossed her arms over her chest, the oversized sweater slipping off her shoulder once more. The servant's eyes flicked to the exposed skin, a hint of disapproval in her gaze.

"Get ready someone who looks poor is here to pick you up!" The servant snapped and stormed off. Vivi went to the bathroom she took a shower and grabbed her small box that had her treasure things and then Tun Tun when she walked down the stairs Tan, Song, and Grace where standing there middle age man who was sweating smiled gently.

"Seventh miss," the man said. Seventh miss everyone looked at each other and they snorted out.

"This man will take you to your poor family remember the moment you step out you are no longer the heiress of our family!" Tan said.

"And don't you dare use our name," Song said.

"Sister I know hardship would be there but don't worry maybe in the future you can work for our…"

Vivi beautiful golden eyes narrowed and she chuckled.

"Work for you a dog is more worthy to be my servant than you," Vivi said and walked outside. There were bunch of box's which were gifts from Vivi birth parents but Song and Tan looked down the gifts these gifts must be useless they thought to themselves.

The pick up truck was well what is the word shabby like really shabby.

As Viviana stepped outside, the chill of the evening air nipped at her exposed skin. She pulled her sweater tighter around herself, her gaze scanning the dilapidated pickup truck that would supposedly transport her to her new life. The vehicle looked as if it had seen better days, its paint peeling and rust eating away at the metal. The tires were bald, and the windows were cracked, held together by a spiderweb of shattered glass.

She walked around the truck, taking in the sight of the numerous boxes stacked haphazardly in the bed. Each one was elegantly wrapped in expensive paper, adorned with delicate bows and tags bearing the logo of prestigious boutiques. The stark contrast between the luxurious gifts and the rundown vehicle was almost comical.

Viviana couldn't help but let out a soft, mirthless laugh as she turned back to face her former family. Song, Tan, and Grace stood on the porch, their expressions a mix of disdain and smug satisfaction.

Vivi sighed these people are so selfish forget she looked at the middle age man.

"Seventh Miss my name is Gong I will be driving you," Gong said.

"I see let's go than," Vivi said after changing the car tire.

As the pickup truck sputtered to life, Viviana settled into the passenger seat, Tun Tun curled up in her lap. She stared out the window, watching as the lavish mansion of her former family faded into the distance. The irony of the situation wasn't lost on her she, the true heiress, was being cast out with nothing but a handful of expensive gifts and a loyal dog.

Gong shifted uncomfortably in the driver's seat, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. He cast a sideways glance at Viviana, taking in her elegant appearance and the stark contrast it presented to their surroundings.

"I... I'm sorry about this, Seventh Miss," he said hesitantly, his voice barely audible over the rumble of the engine.

"I know it's not much, but I promise I'll take good care of you."

"No need to worry," Vivi said and Gong sighed the poor seventh miss must have suffered a lot.

They stopped at a gas station and Vivi put Tun Tun down who wet to the bathroom and she walked inside to buy some salty food.

Inside the dimly lit convenience store, Viviana browsed the shelves, her eyes scanning the various snacks and treats. She settled on a bag of BBQ flavored chips and a bottle of lemon soda, the simple indulgences a stark contrast to the gourmet meals she was accustomed to.

As she waited in line, she couldn't help but overhear the hushed whispers and stares from the other patrons. They eyed her expensive clothes and the elegant way she carried herself, clearly out of place in this humble establishment. Viviana ignored their curious gazes, her expression unreadable as she paid for her purchases and made her way back to the truck.

Gong was waiting outside, leaning against the hood with a cigarette dangling from his lips. He straightened up as she approached, quickly stubbing out the cigarette beneath his boot.

"Here for you," she said and Gong the seventh young miss isn't like her arrogant brothers.

"Seventh Miss what do you like to do for fun?" Gong asked. Vivi chewed on her chip and she thought for a slight moment.
