The next morning arrived with a chill in the air. I woke early, my heart pounding in my chest. Today was the day. I dressed quickly, pulling on my training gear and heading toward the training grounds, where Magnus and the warriors were already preparing.
As I approached, I spotted Magnus, already deep in conversation with several of the warriors. It was clear that they respected him deeply. He moved like a man who knew exactly what needed to be done.
Magnus caught sight of me and waved me over. "You ready?"
I nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be."
He grinned at me, that familiar teasing glint in his eye.
"Good," he said. "I'd hate to have to carry you through this."
I smirked, crossing my arms. "Don't worry, I'll keep up."
We shared a brief moment of laughter before Magnus turned serious again.
"Alright, listen up. Today, we're focusing on defensive maneuvers. We need to make sure everyone is ready to protect the pack borders."
