Marcus stared at him. "So back then at the water was your first time?"
Lenny hesitated, thinking through this new skill he had acquired. He found himself questioning the basis of its existence and why it happened. He started putting the dots together to find a pattern.
"Yes, it was. And I think it only happens when you're around..." Lenny said. That was his theory. The two times he turned into a human were when he met Marcus—alone.
So he figured that might be a driving factor—but why?!
Marcus smiled as he stared at him. "So you mean... I'm not only the first person to see your human form... but you can only become human when you're with me...?"
Lenny stared at him. "Why are you making it sound like that?"
Marcus smiled. "Because it sounds like fate. We're destined to be around each other, then."
"You're overthinking. There must be a logical reason for it," Lenny protested.
"Yes. As logical as us being past lovers fated to meet each other in every lifetime," he smiled.
