Turbulent divine energy boiled throughout the World of Void, the constantly roaring power shaking the indestructible arena until the very atmosphere became oppressive and heavy. Every spectator sat transfixed, shocked beyond words by this battle that transcended mortal comprehension.
Beerus weaved through the coordinated assault of multiple Gods of Destruction, his movements appearing almost effortless despite the overwhelming pressure. Sidra from Universe Nine and Quitela from Universe Four intercepted from opposite directions, both unleashing dense streams of destructive energy to catch Beerus in a crossfire.
"Idiots!" Beerus snorted, instantly changing trajectory and rocketing upward.
But Arak, God of Destruction of Universe Five, had anticipated exactly that escape route. He met Beerus from above with a devastating hammer blow, the swift and brutal attack catching Beerus off-guard. The impact drove the feline deity straight down into the arena floor.
BOOM!
Beerus crashed against the platform with tremendous force, and Champa materialized beside his brother immediately, laughing as he reached out with his rotund palm to grab him.
Then Beerus's eyes flashed with golden light. His body moved like electricity itself, slipping through Champa's grasp with impossible precision. The air rippled from his passage, followed by a sharp crack of displaced atmosphere.
Champa's palm closed on empty space. His eyes bulged comically, his mouth trembling uncontrollably—because Beerus's fist had buried itself in his abdomen.
"Y-you... how did you..." Champa wheezed.
"Hmph. I sleep too much, true, and I'm as lazy about training as you are," Beerus said casually, releasing his fist. Champa slid to the ground in a straight line, gasping for breath. "But I should thank Raditz and the two stubborn saiyans. Training alongside them has made me significantly stronger."
Seeing Champa fall, the other Gods of Destruction immediately rushed toward Beerus's position. But Beerus grabbed the stunned Champa and hurled him upward before vanishing from sight.
"THERE!" Rumsshi roared, pointing skyward.
Every God of Destruction looked up, assuming Beerus had launched himself into the air. They saw the airborne figure and immediately converged, delivering a brutal combination of punches and kicks.
After several seconds of violent assault, they realized their mistake.
"Wait—this isn't Beerus! This is Champa!"
"WHAT?!"
Champa, beaten senseless by his fellow destroyers, could only groan in pain and confusion.
Arak, the God of Destruction of Universe Five, had proven wiser than his peers. Instead of rushing blindly after the obvious target, he'd carefully tracked Beerus's actual movements. By the time the others realized their mistake, Arak was already in pursuit of the real target.
"TAKE THIS!" Arak roared, firing continuous energy blasts while thrusting his palms forward rapidly, eyes blazing with determination.
But Beerus ran faster, his evasive maneuvers leaving nearly all the bombardment in his wake.
"Iwan! Intercept him!" Arak realized he couldn't catch Beerus alone and called to the God of Destruction from Universe One—the closest ally positioned ahead.
The spherical deity covered in black fur responded immediately, condensing massive energy between his hands. He unleashed an energy storm that combined with Arak's assault, targeting a point slightly ahead of Beerus's trajectory—attempting to predict and intercept rather than chase.
Space distorted around the attack. The furious energy rushed forward like a colossal dragon, roaring across the arena with devastating intent.
Beerus's combat instincts screamed warning. He leaped upward sharply, changing direction to dodge the concentrated blast—which meant diving into Arak's vast barrage of smaller energy attacks. But that was still preferable to facing Iwan's massive technique head-on.
Besides, Beerus navigated through the dense energy stream with agile, precise movements, his Ultra Instinct allowing him to weave between attacks that would have devastated lesser beings. The damage he actually received remained minimal.
Moments later, Beerus burst from the energy storm in an unexpected direction and attacked Arak directly. The Universe Five destroyer hadn't anticipated this reversal—his surprise cost him dearly as Beerus's elbow smashed into his midsection, sending him flying backward to skid across the arena floor for dozens of meters.
"Hah... dealing with all these guys at once is genuinely troublesome," Beerus muttered, though his casual tone masked significant physical exhaustion. "Teaching this many people a lesson simultaneously takes real effort."
After all, his opponents were fellow Gods of Destruction—their combat capabilities weren't jokes. Even with his superior technique and Ultra Instinct usage, the sustained assault was taking its toll.
What made it worse was that Belmod and Liquiir—after their initial attacks—had deliberately hung back, staying at the periphery and only striking opportunistically. They clearly intended to let others exhaust Beerus before swooping in for the elimination. That kind of calculated cowardice was the most troublesome to counter.
The violent battle continued escalating, some sections of the supposedly indestructible arena showing visible cracks from the divine power being thrown around.
"They're ganging up on Lord Beerus too much!" Goku protested from the spectator area, watching as Beerus gradually shifted from effortless dominance to visible strain. "This isn't fair!"
While some infighting had occurred among the other Gods of Destruction—Belmod occasionally "accidentally" striking allies and generating complaints—the overall consensus remained clear: eliminate Beerus first. They showed no signs of relenting until the cat-like destroyer was thrown from the ring.
"You think it's unfair too? Then I'm getting involved." Raditz couldn't tolerate it any longer. He stood abruptly.
Every single being in the spectator stands had been sitting—even the Angels maintained seated positions. Raditz suddenly standing drew immediate attention from every direction.
The Grand Priest's gaze shifted to him. "Raditz, Supreme Kai of Universe Seven. Is something the matter?"
"I'm going to fight."
"What?!" Shock rippled through every universe's delegation. Gods of Destruction, Supreme Kais, even some Angels showed surprise.
"Wait, isn't he just a Kai?" Some universes still didn't fully understand Raditz's reputation.
"Don't you know? The Kai of Universe Seven is... unusual. I've heard he's extraordinarily powerful."
"That's impossible though, right? A Kai fighting Gods of Destruction?"
Voices of surprise and exclamation filled the spectator area. Some Angels whispered among themselves, while others cast questioning glances toward Whis. The Angels didn't doubt Raditz's strength—but they were shocked that he'd dare interrupt an ongoing match.
The Grand Priest, unexpectedly, wasn't angry. Instead, he smiled. "Raditz, I'm afraid this exhibition match has already begun. The rules—"
"I believe as long as Lord Zeno approves, there shouldn't be a problem?" Raditz interrupted smoothly.
"Ah. Let me inquire." The Grand Priest turned to the Omni-Kings. "Lord Zeno, Raditz wishes to participate in the divine exhibition match as Universe Seven's Supreme Kai. What is your will?"
"Raditz wants to fight?!" Zeno seemed delighted rather than annoyed. "That's great! They're all moving so chaotically I can barely follow what's happening—it's getting boring! If Raditz joins, it'll definitely be more interesting!"
"Thank you, Zeno!" Raditz spoke directly, using the familiar form of address.
Multiple universes' representatives broke into cold sweats. Who dares address the Omni-King so casually?! That's asking for death!
But Zeno simply laughed happily, clearly pleased by the informality. This made the other universes even more terrified—what was this special relationship?
Angels who didn't understand the context exchanged stunned glances. Both the Omni-King and the Grand Priest were showing Raditz extraordinary favoritism. What made this individual so special? Even Zeno's guards—who'd witnessed Raditz's previous visit—remained impassive, long accustomed to this dynamic.
"This person doesn't have the attitude and etiquette a Supreme Kai should display at all," someone muttered. "Is he really a Kai?"
"Seriously, how arrogant can one being be?"
Those unfamiliar with Raditz's background continued speculating and doubting, discussions rippling through the crowd.
Then Quitela made a critical mistake. Excitement and indignation overrode his better judgment. "We've already been fighting! Letting him join now is completely unfair!"
"Do you have an objection?" Zeno looked at Quitela directly.
The Omni-King's expression went completely blank—rigid, emotionless, utterly still. That look made Quitela's entire body seize up in terror, his legs nearly buckling.
An expressionless Zeno was the most terrifying Zeno.
"N-no! No objection! None whatsoever!" Quitela shouted frantically. "I completely agree! Absolutely!"
"Actually, objections are perfectly reasonable," Raditz said cheerfully, leaping from the spectator platform and landing smoothly on the arena. He looked around at all the assembled Gods of Destruction with a confident smile. "So if anyone feels it's unfair for two representatives from Universe Seven to participate, your Supreme Kais are welcome to join as well. I promise I won't bully anyone."
The Grand Priest nodded thoughtfully. "An excellent point. I did say this was a 'battle of gods'—I never specifically limited it to Gods of Destruction. If Supreme Kais from other universes wish to participate, they may enter now."
The other universes' Supreme Kais looked at each other, then universally shook their heads. None of them possessed Raditz's power level. Joining this fight would be suicide.
"Since no one's taking me up on that offer..." Raditz's smile widened, and a faint silver light began emanating from his body. "I won't hold back!"
His aura exploded outward, and the entire World of Void trembled.
The real battle was about to begin.
