A groan was heard as a hand extended out of the blanket to stop the alarm clock from ringing.A few seconds later a male around 16- 17 years got out of the bed . He looked skinny and according to the normal world's standards he seemed ugly.

He stretched himself feeling the cracking of his bones before going to prepare himself for school. After everything was done he went to the kitchen and started cooking breakfast.

After finishing he walked to another room and slightly opened the door. He could help but sigh seeing the state of the person sleeping on the bed and the dirty room.

Lying on the bed was a middle aged woman , slightly fat and ugly due to a horrible burn mark on her face. She was snoring loudly and had a finished bottle of beer on her hand.

The teen walked to his mother affectionately covering her , kissed his mother's forehead before leaving a note on the lamp beside the bed telling her where the breakfast was. He then got out of the rental apartment and walked to Midtown High which wasn't that far from his home and besides he liked walking.

Once he entered his school, he put on his hoodie and walked straight to his locker.

Everyday he walked to school he was always overcome with dread and anger . He hated it but he could do nothing but go as his mother insisted.

As he opened his locker , he suddenly felt someone holding him by the shoulder. Suddenly a sense of dread filled him . The person was a tall muscular person by the worst name imaginable.....

Flash Thompson.

" Hey Grey , you did what I told you to do ?" Flash asked with a slight smile.

" Um , I got a bit entangled with something and I couldn't.... " Suddenly he felt a strong punch delivered to his stomach before he knelt down in pain.

Everybody looked at him . Mixed expressions were written on their faces . Some pitied him , some laughed and found it enjoyable and others thought ' Damn couldn't be me '.

What disgusted Grey the most was that no one even tried to help him.

Flash knelt down to Grey's level.

" You get me what I want or I'll beat you up again am I clear. " Flash asked.

Grey looked at him with hate filled eyes before replying.

" Crystal. "

Flash smiled then walked off .

Grey stood up and took his books locked the locker before banging it multiple times.

' Flash , fucking Flash . The hell does he think he is !! ' Grey thought . He would have continued banging the locker if it wasn't for a blonde haired girl approaching him and asking if he was ok.

He looked at her , He knew her . She was Gwen Stacy , a beautiful girl that tried to interact with him but he always gave her the cold shoulder.

I mean how could he talk to her when her father was the reason his was dead.

" Just fuck off Gwen , stop trying to act like you care " He said before walking off.

Gwen was left in a daze before a boy known as Peter Parker walked to Gwen and comforted her.

" Just leave him alone Gwen , some people you can't just befriend. " Peter said.

" Um , I guess? " Peter saw she was conflicted but he didn't say anything.

The rest of the day was normal for Grey meaning he studied and didn't talk to anybody apart from lunch time.

As he ate his food where no one disturbed him , the bully Flash Thompson walked towards him with his two followers.

" So you got what I requested? " Flash asked.

Grey looked at Flash before spouting out something he didn't regret even for a moment.

" Sure he it is " Grey said and gave Flash what he needed . A document known as his homework. I mean, who still bullied people to giving them their homework?

Flash took the papers and looked at the work.

He then glared at Grey .

" You want me to fail Grey , what is this . Most of this is wrong ! " Grey looked confused.

" Am pretty sure I double checked your work there's nothing wrong " Grey said with some slight panic , he knew what might happen next.

" So am wrong then ? You know guys just beat this fucker " Flash said and the rest is history as he got a thorough beating.

That day Grey walked home with a lot of physical pain but was also angry.

He reached home and found a letter on the fridge.

It was from his mom .

" Thanks for the breakfast darling but I think you should focus on yourself. Don't worry about ol' me . I'll be back by 6pm and don't cook supper tonight , today am taking you for a date _

Your super awesome but sometimes drunk mom "

Grey smiled seemingly all his sadness vanishing , his mom really had a way of changing his mood.

_ 5 hours later _

" You should just beat em up Grey, instill fear. That way they will never disturb you " His mother said but if only it were that simple.

" Maybe I'll try " Grey .

" You should " His mother Mariam said before drinking another bottle of beer. .

" Anyway mom , how's work ?"

" Boring to be honest, but can't escape it though. " Mariam said.

Grey nodded . They chatted having fun and enjoying the delicacy. It was rare to have this kind of meal and the mother son duo to interact due to the mother's occupation so this was a rare moment for them.

At 9pm they went back home still joking.

" Remember that time we took you to the zoo with your dad and there was monkey that grabbed you. You wet your pants " Mariam said before busting into a fit of laughter.

" Hey I was like 7 and that was traumatizing for me at that age. " Grey defended himself feigning a hurtful expression.

" But your face *hahaha* You were like ' Mommy ! ' " She imitated and made a face similar to the 7 year old Grey .

Grey looked at her mother and laughed with her.

On the way they continued their jokes until they were stopped by some robber with a gun. He was short but built and had a face mask so no one saw him.

" Give me all your money , now ! " The robber shouted and pointed the gun at them . Both of them froze . The happy atmosphere suddenly changed into a panicked one .

" Didn't you hear me you bitch , I said all your money or you kid gets it " The robber pointed the gun at Grey and he nearly made a whimper .

" Ok , ok . All my savings are in this card the pin is 5667 " Mariam said quickly.

The robber looked at Mariam as if she was a fool .

She hit Mariam with the butt of the gun and she fell with a thud her nose bleeding.

Grey moved to help her but he was stopped by the robber pointing his gun at him.

" Don't move or you die " Grey froze and a small gulp could be heard.

The robber looked at Mariam with menacing eyes.

" You fucking freak of Nature, you think this is a game . I'll ask you one more time , give me money , cash " The robber said.

Mariam sobbed.

" Please, that's the only thing I have . Just let us go " The robber got enraged and started beating her with the gun.

As much of a pussy Grey was , he couldn't let his mother get beaten so he dashed and tackled the robber and tried to pin him down.

Due to the robber's strength , he managed to get out of his hold and shot him in the chest.

Mariam shrieked in horror as the robber pushed Grey sideways who was losing blood fast.

Mariam ran to her son and exacted pressure on the wound.

" Don't worry you are going to be ok , you'll ... "

Suddenly two bullets were shot on the back of Mariam's head .

Grey was still conscious as he felt the warm brain matter of her mother soak his face.

Grey couldn't cry or shout for help but as his conscious faded, one thought lingered on his mind

' Humans are such horrible creatures '

It was dark , Grey shivered. 

Was he dead ? 

' I guess death is freedom when you come to think of it ' He thought.

His life was crap . 

He never fell in love 

Had real friends 

Was bullied 

Traumatized seeing his father die in front of him

The only worthwhile thing in his life were his parents.

He couldn't help but smile and close his probably forever. 

As he was about to lose even himself he felt something . 

Something dangerous was definitely looking at him.

He opened his eyes and turned around looking at the void but the was only darkness. 

Just as he was about to sigh . He saw something , a small blue light. 

' What the he .. "

In a flash the light was in front of him and the size of a humanoid figure. It was about 6 metres tall and it illuminated the dark void Grey was in. 

Grey suddenly felt an intense pressure on his sole and nearly fell down.

" Oh , a human ? Haven't seen your kind for a while " The being Spoke. It's voice was neutral and one couldn't tell if it was a male or a female.

" Tell me human , why have you woken me from my slumber ? " The being's tone changed to an enraged one .

Grey shivered from its tone and even fell down begging for his life or whatever he was currently to be spared.

The being looked at the shivering and whimpering human and it couldn't help but feel disgust.

" Stand up " The being ordered.

Grey whimpered but he couldn't bring himself to look at the being. 

" I said stand up you ant !! " The being thundered. It's voice shook the void.

Grey stood up at once but looked down.

The being's supposed eyes that were bluish changed to black before going back to the blue flames. Grey couldn't notice because he was afraid. 

" Tell me boy , are you happy with the life you lived " The being asked.

Grey still looking down shook his head. 

" When someone asks you a question . You look them in the eye and answer " The being was honestly getting enraged by the ant's weak willed personality .

Grey reluctantly looked at bluish flames of the being and said no meekly .

" Say it like you mean it boy ?" 

This time Grey shouted no.

The being grinned. 

" Always remember to be firm boy. I am the monarch of the Abyss . What is your name " Grey felt that that was an order. 

" Grey . My name is Grey " He said this before slightly bowing his head low. 

This made the being click in annoyance. He hated his type of personality the most .

Wait he could change that . Since the boy disrupted his sleep , he couldn't just go back and try to sleep again. 

' Am going to have so much fun remolding you into my likeness. ' It thought. 

" You're in luck boy , I'll resurrect you . " 

Grey looked up at the being with horror in his eyes. 

" Please , I can't go back . I hate being alive. I hate everything about it and ... * sob * .... My mom's dead " Grey said as he slowly started crying. 

The being looked at this pathetic creature and was nearly tempted to just erase it but . .. . Once it set it's goal on something it had to achieve it.

" Tough luck boy , you're going down . Don't worry, since am a benevolent god , I'll give you this. " The being said .

Sudden a white light emerged from the Abyss and entered into Grey . 

" Remember I'll always be watching you . " The being said before Grey could say anything .

He felt his consciousness drifting away and before he knew it , he was groggily waking up in a hospital bed. 

' Is this a hospital ?' Grey thought as stirred his dizziness away. 

Suddenly the emotional pain he wanted to forget returned back to him. 

' Yes my mother's gone ' Soft sobs could be heard on the ward and the nurse who was inside scrolling her phone looked at him. 

She went up to him and told him not to worry. She then proceeded to go call the doctor for a check up.

The doctor came and did some check ups on him to see if he was alright. The doctor tried talking to him but he never responded 

The doctor concluded it was trauma from losing his mother 

A few hours later , someone came into his room who could not help but stir anger in him.

" Um hey kiddo " The man in a police uniform said in the most friendly way.

Grey looked at him in anger .

" Fuck off Mr. Stacy " If looks could kill , George Stacy would have been scattered across the nine realms.

" Am sorry... For your lose " George seemed genuinely sorry for Grey .

" Yeah and who do you think is one of the many contributing factors for my lose !! " He screamed in rage.

" I wanted to make it up to you by giving you a place to stay , a home to live in " George said with a pleading voice. He couldn't bare seeing the son of a colleague and the person he hurt most suffer like this. 

" Please let me help , Give me a chance to correct my mistakes to you . " George said pleadingly 

" Just ... Just leave me alone ok " Grey said and George sighed before walking away. 

[ Hmm a hypocrite indeed. To the people you know can't hurt you you lash at them but to those who you know you can't do nothing , you can't help but be their bitch. Why is this ? ]

He felt a voice in his head say that . He slightly shook in fear.

[ See . But not to worry my dear experiment am going to turn you into what you kind call a sigma ] 

Grey couldn't see the expression of the Abyss but he felt in his core that the Abyss was going to make his life more sufferable.

Suddenly a nameless book appeared in front of Grey. 

[ That is my gift to you , read and practice it or else ] 

Grey shuddered, he couldn't help but open the book hurriedly and look at the content.

George stayed at the ward for nearly the whole night thinking of a way to make Grey come with him. 

He couldn't know how the kid felt but he knew it was probably horror of the unknown.

Suddenly a nurse approached him and whispered something to him.

George stood up and followed her. 

He was guided to the ward where Grey stayed. 

Grey looked up at him and said.

" Am sorry about what I said Mr. Stacy . I was currently angry and at a moment of anger said some dumb things. 

And To be honest I would be happy to stay with you. I will not forget that generosity " 

George smiled and welcomed him but ....

..

Something was off about him.

_ 2 weeks later _

A week ago Mariam was buried and Grey cried. It was a day that could only be rivaled to his father's dead. 

George was understanding and offered him to stay home until he got over the death of his parents

On the other hand life at George's place wasn't bad. Grey had been socially excluded with the duo . It was understable given what he gone through. 

He had also attempted suicide a couple of times. Cutting his wrist , his neck and even taking poison meant to kill . He reached to a shocking conclusion. 

The Abyss had cursed him with immortality.

On this day Grey finally finished the end of the written words on the book given to him by the Abyss. 

The weird part was that is was only 5 pages that were written compared to the incredibly large book. 

The first 5 pages had nothing much but introduction and ways on how to survive while still being weak but even the rips were not completed.

' It's depressing that I have covered 5 pages for the 4 days I have been studying this book. However this books gives me horrible migraines if I read for more than 10 seconds. 

It did warn me that weak minded people would suffer the consequences of reading it.' 

As much as Grey could say ' screw off ' and throw the book , he was an avid fan of mystery and this book was shrouded in it and that was the only reason he read it. 

As he looked to see anything else written , he went back and saw something strange writing itself . It said.

' Prove yourself worthy of this book . '

Grey said and cast it aside. He stood up from his study desk and walked out of his room. It was quiet which was surprising because it was late 

" I guess Gwen is on a date with that Peter guy and George is probably still in office " He murmured.

He approached to the kitchen and found out there was no groceries.

" Tch , just my luck . I'll have to buy something and I have no money. I also can't bring to talk to George . " He thought.

He seemed kind of in a trance before he remembered Gwen saying that the they owed the store owner some money due to their shopping without paying. 

If that was so then the store owner must be close to them , enough for him to buy without paying and he could add to their tab. 

He got out and walked to the store , it was around a 8 minute walk from where he was .

The shop owner was understanding and added to the tab. He was kind enough to also give him some free chocolate. 

Grey smiled. It reminded him that not everyone was bad. 

As he walked to a juncture near an alley way that was dimly lit , he suddenly heard the cocking of a gun behind him and a man saying in a rough voice to give him all his money. 

He froze not only from fear but from anger. 

He slowly turned towards the man before his eyes widened . 

The grocery bag fell and he could hear the cracking of eggs. 

" Y-you ?? " He said unable to finish his sentence.

" Yeah me . Now give al your money or. .... " The man seemingly remembering something.

" Ah it's you kid , you know the drill . Give everything you got or die like that fat excuse of your mother. " The man said still pointing a gun at him. 

Grey could hear his heart accelerate and his rationality quickly get replaced by anger. 

" I'll fucking kill you " He practically screamed before charging at him.

Bang !

A clean headshot. Grey's body fell down with a thud. 

The robber quickly scanned his area before grinning an approaching the groceries. He turned Grey's body so as to see if he had anything on his pocket when he fell something grab him. 

It was Grey's hand ! 

He slightly shook in fear before looking at his face. 

He saw red eyes instead of Grey's usual blue eyes and the bullet wound was closing up . It turned to normal when the bullet fell down and the wound closed 

The robber tried to escape from Grey's grip but he couldn't. His face was filled with fear as he raised his gun with his free hands and shot at Grey's face a couple of times 

Bang ! Bang !

" Die you fucking bitch " 

Unlike last time Grey's body didn't Fall down but his grip tightened.

Swiftly a punch from Grey sent the robber being thrown away by the impact of the hit before finally falling with a large thud . He had lost some few teeth from that punch and his nose was broken.

He was now currently panicking. It was written all over his face 

' D-devil ?! I need to get away from this Devil ' he thought.

He tried standing up hurriedly but he felt his leg get stomped and it's bones broken. He screamed in pain before he felt another punch in his face that stopped his yelling. 

" Am shory pleash let me go ." The burglar begged but that seemed to enrage Grey as he raised his body by grabbing him in the neck before hitting him .

This send the robber to a wall which he slightly painted with his blood. 

Before the robber could fall another punch straightened him from falling. 

Punch after punch after punch. 

The robber's blood covered Grey and the wall behind the robber but this didn't hinder Grey's rageful face from punching the other guy. 

The robber was now barely breathing and Grey was ready to finish the punch when he felt someone stop his punch . 

The robber fell like a ragdoll Grey slowly turned to see Spiderman. 

Grey's rageful face turned into a smile that seemed genuine. However it made Spiderman flinch as he was covered in blood. 

" Please could you come back later after I kindly ask this criminal some questions " Grey politely asked. 

This shook Spiderman to the core. For the first time he had no words to say.

Grey knelt down to the man before Spiderman shouted.

" I won't let you ! " Spiderman was about to engage in a fight before he saw the person he knew in his school stand up and walk to the grocery. 

" Fine , I don't wanna fight so you can have him. He'll be dead anyway " 

He picked the grocery and walked off. Spiderman or rather Peter Parker couldn't do anything so he let him be . 

Grey reached home to find Gwen on the room. Luckily George wasn't here to make his life more difficult. 

" Oh my god what happened Grey ? " Gwen hurried to check on Grey. 

" I fell " Grey said while giving Gwen the groceries and going to his room to take a shower. 

While he took a shower his thoughts were disarrayed. 

' I just killed a person today ' 

Slowly the imposing aura of the killer in him faded and returned back to Grey.

But this time it was different Grey's normal aura had been tainted. He would never be the same again. 

As Grey went back to his room after bathing , he had trouble wearing due to many lingering thoughts on his first kill. 

Just as he thought about it , the book opened itself and updated itself to complete the first chapter of 234 pages. 

The first part of the new update said 

' Congratulations, you have proved yourself Worthy '

_ A day later _

Grey told George that he was ready to continue to go to school. As much as he hated school, he respected his parents enough to fulfill the expectations they had on him.

Upon arriving school Grey felt slightly different which surprised him. He would mostly shiver thinking about his bullies but this time it was different. 

He was at least relieved to know no one knew about his situation at home because he hated hypocrites pity. 

As he walked to his locker he felt someone grab his shoulder. He didn't need to turn back to know who it was. 

" What do you want Flash ?" Grey asked.

Flash was surprised by Grey's tone. Usually it carried fear and restrain anger on it but this time it was outright flat . It was the tone used when someone didn't want to do anything with you. 

" So , where have you been bro. Can you imagine I had to write my own homework.

This time Grey turned to face him. 

People watched. They wanted to see what would happen between the bully and the bullied. It was like a daily occurrence in their lives. 

" Do your own damn homework you fucking cunt " Grey said with a scowl. He was still in a bad mood.

The people started recording and saying ' ouch '. This just added fuel to Flash's rage. 

Yeah , Flash punched him .

Flash wanted to punch him again but this time Grey lashed back and backhanded him. The force threw him to one of the lockers before bouncing back and falling down. 

" Ooh " The crowd chanted. 

Grey knelt down to Flash and made sure that he saw his eyes. 

He then made his eyes blood red. 

This was a new technique he learnt on the book. It was used to instill fear on subjects weaker than him . 

" Next time you even as much breathe the same air as me , I'll make sure you don't breathe again . 

Flash was so much in shock that he peed his pants.

" Look Flash just peed his pants. " Someone shouted and immediately phones started flashing . 

Flash stood up and ran to the bathroom. 

As Grey slowly stood up , everyone took a photo of him. 

He smiled charmingly and walked off. Apparently he needed the crowds adoration or fear to grow stronger.

He could remember what the book gave him only one way of getting stronger and that was through divinity.

Good divinity could be achieved by the crowds adoration

The evil kind was through fear and the book mostly focused on this one. 

It also taught him how to manipulate energy but that he needed to practice, which he was going to do once school was over.

George felt a headache coming his way. He stood next to the battered thief that Grey had killed. 

He first felt fear for his daughter who lived nearby. He couldn't imagine what kind sicko would do this to his daughter. 

' Guess I'll just to monitor her and Grey ' He thought.

It was lunch break and everyone was discussing about the Flash incident.

[ This just in Flash Thompson has become... Flush Thompson ]

Grey saw Gwen and Peter and approached them. They were discussing happily until Grey greeted them with a smile.

Peter froze. 

" Hey , I guess you don't mind if I seat here right ? " Grey asked with a charming smile.

Gwen was surprised to see the usually moody Grey smile like this . She had to admit that that smile made his looks change from a 3

 to a solid 7

' Is he perhaps becoming more handsome?' Gwen thought . 

Meanwhile Peter's thoughts were different.

' Shit , shit , shit it's that psycho from yesterday ' Peter thought.

Before Peter could say anything , Gwen smiled and invited him.

" So guys , I wanted to ask you something " Grey said and scratched the back of his head showing some shy expression.

" Um yeah " Gwen said. 

" Could you guys hang out with me today . I don't like have anything to do to be honest. " Grey said. 

Peter and Gwen looked at each other . Peter gave him a secret look that Gwen understood what it meant.

" Am sorry Grey but will be busy ... Um " as Gwen was thinking Grey finished her sentence.

" Busy saving people's lives. No sweat to be honest" Grey said putting the matter aside but he had to admit that their faces were golden.

He honestly had doubts but he confirmed it Yester night when a certain blonde haired girl talked about swinging a little too carelessly.

Also due to some voodoo the Abyss did on him. He could feel people and identify them despite their disguises and yesterday he was privileged to meet Peter aka Spiderman. 

" Hahaha What do you mean ?" Gwen said trying to play it cool but her laughter croaked.

" To be honest here , I have powers and they happen to make me a little bit psycho. Peter can attest to that . To cut the long story I need help " Grey said putting his most disturbed face.

' I actually don't , energy manipulation needs practice and what better to practice and instill fear at the same time than crime fighting. ' Grey thought.

He had made a tactical maneuver with it's benefits and loses. 

The benefits were that he could practice energy manipulation, enroll smoothly to crime fighting , this two won't hunt him and make his life full of running, he will be restrained from killing someone.

The loses were that he will have to control his bloodlust which is incredibly difficult, the fear instilled in crime fighting and crime killing were like heaven and earth. 

' Wait , I could be like Batman, beat them half to death ' Grey's eyes shone.

Gwen looked at Peter questioningly and Peter to say the least looked disturbed by what he was referring to . 

Grey sensing that Peter would just make Gwen curious and discover it herself he decided to tell her. 

" Gwen , Yester night I killed the person who killed my mother . An unfortunate event that has hunted me for some while " Grey said with a sad expression and Gwen's eyes widened .

She froze for a while before walking off. Peter looked at her going away before following her. 

' That went well. As the goody two shoes Ghost spider and Spiderman are , they will most likely help me. That and plus Gwen knows clearly about my situation ' Grey thought. 

He didn't know it but that book was influencing him , making him more manipulative and empathetic but less sympathetic.

Peter approached Gwen who was sitting outside. He slowly walked and sat next to him.

" So , about Grey " Peter said.

" He's gone through a lot , he just buried his mother last week . It is understandable for him not to control his rage " Gwen said. 

" Gwen ... What's wrong ?" Peter asked. He knew his best friend well and he knew well enough to know she wasn't feeling alright.

" Nothing Peter , let's help him. I think if we increase a hero , New York will be safer and maybe one day crime will end. " Gwen said hopefully.

" Yeah that would be great. " 

After his confession, the spider people took the liberty to help him.

At first he did small missions with them but later it was only him and Gwen hanging out. As for Peter , he had no idea where he was 

He also practiced energy manipulation when fighting the small thugs and he could already feel himself getting stronger.

When he resurrected he could lift 250 kg max and currently he can lift 600kg. 

It was a terrific progress considering he grew within 2 weeks. 

He could now also use telekinesis which he could lift with it 100kg however with great difficulty.

He had energy balls that when launched had the power to push someone back and break their bones however not strong enough to kill. 

He could now move more easily around as he had the ability to jump around 50 metres. 

He also could levitate using telekinesis on himself but not for long. His longest record so far was half a minute. 

Crime fighting also gave him a sixth sense like spider sense.

The free time he had he dedicated his time to reading the first chapter of the book and within two weeks , he was almost finishing.

Currently he was fighting small time criminals with Gwen on a small gang building. The criminals were your everyday crook until one of them started put on a high gear tech mechanical glove and punched Grey with it.

This broke his nose and threw him to a wall and broke the wall behind him . He slumped down unconscious.

Gwen turned to Grey with anxiety in her eyes before going to get him and swim him to the hospital for a check up . 

Before she could move , a punch to the face sent her to the opposite wall. She was more durable than Grey but that punch distorted her senses.

" Should have checked your sorroundings Ghost spider. " The crook with the high tech gear gave a menacing smile. 

He started hitting Gwen with the high tech mechanical glove.

Gwen tried punching him but due to the slight concussion she missed and the crook punched her again.

Gwen couldn't do anything but block . Blood slowly started spewing from her as she was bashed. 

The other crooks looked at the cold glint of the crook bashing Gwen backed off. 

The crook finally stopped when he saw that Gwen didn't have the strength to move. 

" Now let's finally see what is under the mask " the crook said and reached for her mask .

Gwen weakly rejected but she had no power. The mask was off and the crooks to say the list were shocked.

It was blonde haired teenager. She seemed pretty if it wasn't for the bruises on her face.

" Well I guess we can have some fun before that Spiderman can't we boys" The other crooks looked at each other and nodded. 

Gwen looked in fear as the man reached to his pocket and took out his dagger. 

She could see the intention of their simply by their lust filled gaze. 

To say the least she was scared. 

She muttered a hopeful prayer for Peter to save her. 

Just then the man that wanted to defile her flew to the side of a table and crushed to it. 

The crooks turned to see the hero they had not thought a name off stand . His horrible disfigured face regenerated at a visible rate and he seemed back to peek condition.

The crooks took their weapons, some with swords, guns or batons.

" Let's kill him boys " One said and the rest followed the order as they went for the attack.

Grey used telekinesis to throw the table at them . It hindered them for a while which was enough for him to charge and energy ball and throw at one of the unlucky individuals. 

He the jumped to the crooks and started demolishing them . 

He wasn't going to hold fully back his punches which was enough to one shot them without killing them. 

Finally it was the rapist and him. The rapist who was angry at being throwed jumped to Grey . Grey dodged the punch and punched him instead. 

It came as a shocker that the crook tanked the punch however it had harmed him to some extent. 

Grey's eyes widened .

The crook tried punching him back but he graciously dodged. 

The crook smiled looking at Grey's face.

" I'm a mutant boy and I have high durability higher than even your little girlfriend. You're scared aren't you bo.... " 

Before he could finish he saw blood fall from his mouth. 

He was surprised before he heard something pop. He spat a mouthful of blood.

He looked at the young hero ... No this was a villain.

The last thing he saw was the villain's look of disdained before he fell dead. 

Gwen saw all this but didn't say anything as Grey took her by his arm and using her web slinger shot off with her to a nearby building. 

This was where the spider group kept their medical kit. 

Grey slowly placed Gwen down and took the medkit before attending to her. 

Gwen groaned in pain as the spirit entered her bruised face. 

" You okay ?" Grey asked Gwen .

" Am fine please just continue " Gwen said. There was silence as Gwen watched Grey treat her. 

" Did that bastard do anything else to you ?" Grey broke the silence between them.

Gwen looked curiously at Grey's expression. She actually saw genuine worry. This surprised her as usually he had not displayed this kind of expression.

" No ..... But did you um ... kill him ?" Gwen asked. Grey tried to rid her facial expression but saw nothing.

" No one harms someone I care about without suffering the consequences. " Grey said nonchalantly.

Gwen was shocked and this time didn't hide her shocked face. Her brain was in a pandemonium.

She had strong morals about killers and understood that they needed to be punished the legal way . 

On the other hand she felt happy? for what Grey had done for her. Not many people would kill for her. 

Grey understood that expression.

" I understand what you're feeling . But know this , I would not kill unless someone truly deserves it. " Grey said. 

He didn't want to hide the real him to her. 

" And who are those that deserve it " Gwen asked. She finally decided to try and change him .

" People who hurt my loved ones and currently the only person I slightly care about is you " Grey said.

Gwen looked surprised.

" What I mean to tell you is that I love you , so don't do anything stupid " Grey said looking straight to Gwen's eyes. They were close and Gwen's face flushed.

She pushed Grey weakly. 

" I - I like Peter " Gwen said.

Grey accepted her push and gave her a reassuring nod to show he understood the situation as he returned the medkit where it was hidden. 

" Let's go home. " Grey said. 

Gwen was still weak so Grey was the one that swang her home. 

On the way Grey's confession frustrated Gwen. She really liked Peter but Grey was also nice . She thought throughout the way before finally choosing Peter. 

Peter was her best friend, it was stupid to even compare him with Grey who hadn't expressed any positive emotion towards her .

Meanwhile Grey had a different thought.

' She likes Peter so she definitely chose him. Though she now thinks she has power over me due to the ' love ' she thinks I have for her. This will make her less likely to see me as I am and allow me to do things that will give me more fear divinity . 

Though it still has its negatives as I actually have to pretend to like her and also not do such incriminating things most of the times. '

At Grey's room, there was a beautiful violin melody being playing. 

He had used to levitate Gwen's violin and was playing it while also sitting cross legged trying to move his inner energy to improve his physique. 

He had to prepare for the ' baptism ' or so the book said. 

The so called baptism was technically him being immersed to the world of so called gods. 

If he completed his baptism, his physique would change from mortal to immortal and he would be recognized by other gods. 

He also had to pick a divinity from the book in which he would be god of.

Currently the book had .... Interesting options.

 God of destruction - Greatly feared yet Greatly used , everywhere you go destruction shall follow.

To be honest he was mostly thinking of going with war or lust and Charm but he needed some time to think as all had requirements.

First he would go for the only common requirement and that would be a lot of fear divinity . He didn't know what to do but he was sure he would sort it out 

After finishing his meditation he got out to find Gwen eating breakfast. George had left early due to some kind of work. 

Grey noted that lately he was working a lot. 

He greeted Gwen with a smile before taking putting his on breakfast. 

As he sat down and ate , the was some awkward atmosphere between the two. It was only yesterday that Gwen outright rejected him.

Who knew living on the same with someone you rejected was very awkward.

" Are you ok ? " Grey asked feigning worry. Gwen looked at him questioningly.

" I mean yesterday you received a pretty bad beating " Grey clarified with that air of worry for her. 

" Oh , yeah am ok . My powers allow me to heal faster. Am pretty much back to peak now" Gwen said. 

' He's kind of sweet ' Gwen couldn't help but think. 

Grey looked at her for 10 seconds making Gwen slightly blush before returning to bed as if nothing happened.

Silence once again reigned supreme.

" .... Today we were going to have a group study with Peter and MJ at his house so wanna come? " Gwen asked.

Grey wanted to say no and stay here thinking on how to make people fear him without actually being identified. But he needed Gwen to trust her soooo....

" I'd love to come " Grey said with a smile. 

... 3 hours later .....

To say the group study was a bore would be an understatement. 

They actually studied. This is what happens when you add two nerds and some girl who wants to be more than just friends. 

Grey excused himself from Peter's room to go get out of the boredom. 

He wanted to have a walk to finally get some fresh air and when he opened the door he was met with a gorgeous middle aged lady who was carrying some groceries. 

" Oh you must be Peter's friend. " The gorgeous Milf said. 

Grey nodded and offered to help her carry the groceries. She smiled handing some groceries to him. 

" What a gentleman " She commented as he helped her carry it to the kitchen. 

Grey slightly smiled.

" Peter never told me he had such a beautiful sister " Grey said. This was actually his genuine thoughts.

" That's cute but a little overused don't you think ? " She said looking at Grey with some slight playful smile.

" Not a bit though may I be graced to know this beautiful lady's name " Grey said before giving a slight bore slightly stretching his hand for her to shake.

" You may " 

The milf shook his hand 

" My name is Maybelle Parker , Peter's aunt and you are ? " 

" Am Grey " 

" Well nice to meet you Grey " May said.

" Likewise Ms. Parker. " Grey said trying to see her reaction.

It wasn't nice , she frowned although for a slight second .

She started unpacking the groceries and he offered to help.

" I insist, it's the least I could do . " Grey said

She agreed although she seemed to debate on it. 

" So how long have you known Peter for ?" May asked . She started some small talk to create rapport.

" Barely 2 months to be honest. " 

May looked at him . Trying to gage his intentions with Peter. 

" I actually know him from my foster sister, Gwen. Those two are inseparable and like each other which is disturbing because I like her. " Grey said slightly sunken.

' I'll have to talk to Peter about this ' May had some experience about some love feud and knew it broke relationships. 

" Well am pretty sure you'll find some other girl. There's many fishes in the sea and with your handsome face am pretty sure you could get someone. " May said. 

" It's not like that , am pretty sure you've fallen with someone and you didn't want to lose them . " Grey said. 

May's expression shifted to that of sadness.

Grey sensing this put his hand on her comfortingly. 

" Am sorry , I shouldn't have said that " Grey said sincerely. 

May looked at those blue eyes of his. They seemed so genuine. When was the last time someone looked at her with such compassion?

May suddenly avoided his gaze and blushed slightly, she removed her hand from his. 

" I feel like an asshole so how do I make it up to you ?" Grey asked.

May shuddered, everything this boy said seemed so genuine.

" Help me put unpack all this first " 

He helped her in silence. Everything was okay until May ' accidentally ' cut herself. 

Grey went to look at her slight bleeding hand 

" Are you ok ?" Grey asked.

" It's nothing really " May dismissed his concerns.

" This could get infected. " Grey said inspecting the wound.

" Do you trust me ?" Grey asked looking to May's eyes. 

May avoided his eyes but nodded.

She suddenly felt a sting then she saw her wound close at a physical rate and in no time it was healed.

May was shocked. She thought he was a mutant and she knew that they were despised thus tended to hide themselves. Yet Grey had shown her. 

" Thanks Grey . " May said looking to Grey's eyes.

" Anytime Ms Parker " Grey said with a slight smile.

" Call me May " May said and this time they locked eyes.

A few seconds passed before Grey moved for a kiss . May didn't protest and infact received it. The kiss was pleasant and May drowned in the feeling before. 

* Thud * 

They had footsteps coming towards them and they separated.

May shyly looked to the footsteps only to see it was Peter. She had nervously started parking with Grey who helped her with a neutral expression.

" Oh hi Auntie " Peter said as she saw May.

He looked curiously to see Grey helping her. 

" Hi Peter. Care for some juice?" May asked.

" No , not really. I was looking for Grey . " Peter turned his attention to Grey 

Grey looked at him with a neutral expression.

" I'm coming, let me just finish helping your aunt. " Grey said.

Peter nodded then reluctantly left. He still had some doubts about Grey but it had greatly dwindled due to their hero expeditions. 

This was enough to let him trust Grey wouldn't do anything to his aunt 

Grey and May heard the door close and the both looked at each other. 

May was anxious.

" So that happened " Grey said .

" Yeah... That happened. " May was unsure what to say. She knew this was wrong but it felt so good .

She suddenly felt herself being pulled from her waist. She looked to see Grey's lips closing on hers. 

She accepted. And this lasted longer.

Grey could feel her lust slowly raise . His hands slowly reached to her butt giving it a firm squeeze. 

She gave a slight moan as they continued kissing. 

As much as they both wanted to continue z they were both aware of the company so they didn't escalate it much. 

With a final kiss , they both separated clearly wanting more but restraining themselves. 

" That was something else " May said breathing heavily. 

" Yeah. So .... " 

" This was nice Grey am pretty sure you'd make some woman happy. " May said.

Grey knew the implications of her words . She wanted this to be the last time but Grey didn't want such a thing. 

' No way am leaving my new stress reliever like that ' Grey said.

Grey nodded understanding what she meant. May sighed in relief before she felt a small peck on her . 

" This is my gift for you then " He said before walking to Peter's room leaving a stunned May . 

May looked at the fleeting Grey and felt strange in her hurt. 

After finishing unpacking she went to bathe and after getting out and drying herself in the mirror she was met with an entirely new person. She almost screamed in surprise but refrained from it 

Her skin was glowing and all the wrinkles that started appearing were long gone. She also looked younger almost 6 years younger and was more beautiful. 

' That was his gift ?! ' May couldn't help but smile at the kind and caring Grey she perceived he was.

Grey found May on the sitting room typing on her laptop. He approached sneakily and raised his shoulder to see what she was typing. 

" What you typing " Grey asked making May yelp in surprise.

" You scared me " May said. 

" Sorry. So how's my present" Grey asked.

May looked at him , she wanted him but there were many wrongs.

" Grey listen. Am too old for you. I think it would be better if.... " 

" Nah you're fine. With my powers I could make you age slower, make you younger physically. " Grey said. He thanked the Abyss for giving him the will to read about human biology and how to influence it with energy manipulation. 

May was at a loss for words , this kid was really resilient.

" We don't know anything about each other " 

" Then let's have dates. " May was really at a loss 

Who knew a simple kiss could put her in so much problems.

" Fine , but please don't break my heart " May said nearly pleadingly.

This took Grey aback. He only needed to use her but she genuinely thought he cared about her. 

' I'll just have to use her longer then, nothing wrong ' Grey thought but little did he know those few words would stop him from being a complete psychopath. Still evil though. 

Grey excused himself from the study group saying he needed to go home since he wasn't feeling well.

He didn't lie , he got sick of all the studying. But he also needed to receive a lot of fear divinity.

He got out of Peter's house but not before giving May a peck goodbye and exchanging her phone numbers.

As he got outside and away from prying eyes, he jumped on top of a building and started running towards the house at max speed.

He reached the house and entered to his room to take on another costume from his normal one that he had been working on.

It was an all black suit.

It was currently 5pm so he had to get out knowing Gwen would arrive soon. 

She was faster in terms of traveling due to her webs.

With that he jumped outside . And started jumping from building to building.

He had a bearing where he was headed as he had overheard George say there was a criminal gang that operated on the ports. 

He needed to investigate and if lucky, make them fear his name.

After an hour of jumping, he had arrived. He was currently on top of a building looking down on the dock. 

His blue eyes suddenly glowed golden and he could finally see everything through x-ray vision. 

He saw few guards keeping some people hostage. 

He grinned and jumped down. He approached the guards and before they could now their attacker, their heads had fallen down in shock. 

Behind the guards was a metallic gate that needed a code to open.

However for Grey who had perfected his telekinetic accuracy it was a piece of cake. 

He raised his hand and the door as if by magic opened. 

Inside the building was dim and damp with a small light from one bulb giving it light. 

Grey frowned. Infront of him were around 15 children, mutants to be exact that had hurdled together for heat and probably protection. 

The children cowered in fear seeing Grey. This upset Grey in many ways. True he wanted to gain fear divinity but not like this , not with them.

' *sigh* I guess my fear divinity can wait later.' He thought.

He approached but they slowly moved back in hurdles. 

" Don't worry am not here to hurt you , am rather am here to save you " Grey said as he removed his face mask revealing a friendly smile.

The kids looked at him with less nervousness.

" Are you sure ? " A boy with green hair that looked like grass asked.

Grey smiled . " Of course, now let's get out of here before the bad men come " Grey said. 

The children looked at each other and stood up to follow Grey. They got out of the warehouse with Grey behind them. 

They were about to leave the Dock when suddenly a swarm of cars arrived and a lot thugs got out with weapons pointing at them. 

Lastly the last person to get out was a purple man . He looked at the children in amusement and they flinched in fear. 

He then looked to see a man dressed in a black superhero suit.

" Come here " The purple man said looking to Grey. 

" Why the fuck should I ?" Grey said with a scowl.

The purple man was surprised but he quickly recovered from his stupor. 

" Interesting, what's you name ?" The man asked.

" Ghost " 

" Well ghost, return my belongings and no one gets hurt " At that signal all the guns were cocked.

" Am sorry but I think that's impossible the kids are under my protection " Grey said. 

He could see the kids were scared to go back. 

The purple man smiled

" Kill them " 

Suddenly bullets rained down on them but Grey used telekinesis to stop the bullets.

Turns out it was harder than he thought and his telekinetic barrier was starting to fail .

" Hey kids , on my mark we run to that gate alright. " The kids nodded.

He was about to give a signal when he suddenly felt a bullet penetrate his skull. He saw a small but future looking gun as the perpetrator of him being shot.

His barrier failed and the children were massacred. He woke up a few seconds later to see the blood of the children beside him. 

His face slowly turned to horror. 

' No no no no no !! ' He grabbed his head and started hyperventilating. The former Grey was starting to return.

' I I killed them ' He thought. 

Suddenly he felt a faint life force on a child with long black hair. She was still alive. 

He crawled up to her and channelled energy into her. This stabilized her but he didn't have enough energy to fully heal her. 

He needed to take her to the hospital. 

But before he could. 

" So you survived ?" The purple man approached him with his crooks pointing guns on him waiting for his signal.

" Tell me , do you enjoy toying with children?" Grey asked. His eyes carried anger on it. 

The purple man grinned and raised the gun that had broken his barrier at him.

" Of course " He said then pulled the trigger .

He turned to his crooks and told them to clean up the mess 

This time Grey had purposefully taken them bullet and fallen on the kid to hide that she was alive. 

As long as she could reach the hospital in 3 hours she would be fine.

The men nodded and started dumping body by body on the ocean.

As if on cue , Grey woke up and swam to the girl that lived and using telekinesis propelled himself and her away from the vicinity. 

Once he reached the shore from another side he added more energy into her and she started coughing vehemently. 

She slowly opened her eyes. 

She couldn't speak as she was still weak.

" Don't worry, am going to take you to the hospital. " Grey said before jumping with her to the nearest hospital. 

He changed his appearance so that even if he was recorded, they wouldn't trace back to him. 

He entered the hospital and immediately requested for an emergency. 

The doctors looking at the bloody duo quickly took action and went forth to treat the girl.

Grey refused. He told the receptionist he would be back to pick her up and they shouldn't worry about the money.

" But sir, I think it's best if you take a rest and let as treat you " 

" Later , I need to deal with some pests. " He said before walking off.

As the crooks were about to leave, someone suddenly landed on the car of the purple man. 

The men obviously were quick to aim their guns at the perpetrator. 

They were surprised to see the hero that got shot in the head looking at them . The purple got out and started clapping his hands.

" I admire your bravery. You came back here for a second beating. Let me guess, you're here to deliver us to justice ? " The purple man mockingly asked.

Grey smiled as his eyes turned blood red . He slowly started laughing. The laughter quickly descended to a maniacal laughter. 

" Beat me ? Deliver you to justice? " He continued laughing. This greatly unnerved the crooks .

" The only reason I didn't fight back was because I had some hindrance. " The old Grey slowly disappeared being replaced by the maniacal killer the Abyss wanted.

" But you got rid of them didn't you " Grey said his red eyes shining at them . 

" Tch ! Just kill this fucker " The purple man said. 

Before they could shoot , Grey reached the purple man and held him by the throat. 

" Another mistake you did was killing me. You know that usually gives me a boost in power. Thank you for this gift " Grey said as he ascended with the purple man. 

The crooks couldn't shoot in fear of killing their leader. 

The purple man struggled trying to use his power to influence this man but that proved futile.

Suddenly despair befell him and he knew death awaited. 

Just as he was about to lose hope, a helicopter full of police came and using their headlights pointed at the floating Grey with the purple man. 

" Put the man down, I repeat let the man go " He heard the speakers and this made Grey grinned. 

The height he was in with Kilgrave was more than enough to kill him . So he did what the speaker said. 

He let him go. 

The crooks and the police alike watched as Kilgrave fell to his death. 

Grey's red eyes looked to the helicopter. 

" Fuck off " The words weren't loud but they heard them clearly. 

Due to the special effects of his red eye, this was enough to make the pilot turn back and flee. 

The crooks were surprised and started shooting at Grey but the bullets didn't reach. 

" You have done the one of the greatest sin in my eyes and for that , you shall pay " The words reverberated in all the crooks ears. 

They slowly watched as his body glowed brightly in the air. The radiance was blinding. 

Before they could even ran. Grey descended and once he touched the ground. It was like a bomb exploding. 

All crooks died and the sorrounding area was reduced to a wasteland of fire. 

He grinned as he looked up and saw a News helicopter filming him. 

With a great jump he flew off.

Grey learnt the next morning that the X-Men had taken in the little girl he had saved.

He was also currently famous for what he did. 

As expected nothing traced back to him as an individual. 

On the bright side he had never felt so fresh . He knew this was due to the fear divinity he constantly received. 

Although the public saw him as a hero for killing the gang as it was later revealed , the thugs and the crooks thought otherwise. Even the X-Men felt slight fear . 

He opened his book only to see something weird. It was written.

' What the fuck is this ?' 

Lenore looked at the strange Lady Infront of her . Lenore was around 17 years with black hair and black eyes. She was nothing but a beauty 

The lady was beautiful of around 30 years . She had golden eyes and black hair . She exuded a compassionate yet sad aura when looking at Lenore.

She approached and took Lenore's hand. 

" There's things about my job that I love and things that ... break my heart. I want you to know that I do this with a heavy heart. " The lady said. 

Lenore looked at her eyes as if she had accepted fate. 

" I'm ready " She said with determination. There was sadness in her , sadness of not living to her full life but she never regretted her actions. 

The lady touched Lenore cheek and she fell to her bed , dead. 

The lady stood up and as she was about to vanish , she felt a spike of energy. It wasn't visible to the humans or the gods eyes but to the primordials , it was very clear. 

She frowned slightly. She was already in a bad mood and this didn't make her feel better to say the least.

Grey looked at the book blinking twice.

' What the fuck is this ?' He thought. 

He knew the book wanted him to be some kind of evil god or something , not this.

The god of destruction sure but not childhood.

He hated that title. He hated it a lot because he knew that it would bring something life taught him to fear above all else.

Love for his parents is what brought him so much heart pain when they died.

No , it wasn't love that he feared but rather losing those people he loved or worse , them betraying his love. Just like his older half sister. 

That was one of the fears he held when he begged the Abyss not to bring him back to life. 

And as much as some of his personality changed that he wish he had , compassion for people was definitely not one of them as it one only bring sadness in the end.

Yet here he was , made weak by his divinity for children. He had read clearly what divinity did to your personality and he hated it.

Divinity wasn't just power, it became his core , his life. It changed people's thoughts and eventually reshaping their personality.

Gods of destruction were one of the most careful logical thinkers as only through destruction would creation take place.

God of anything to do with human especially childbirth and children were one of the kindest gods . They weren't powerful but we'll loved for their kindness. 

This just pissed Grey more. 

He read the book with a vein popped.

" What the fuck ! " He nearly screamed. 

His body now could easily surpass the greek gods but what astonished him were his facial structure and eyes. 

His eyes were golden and anyone could see themselves drowning in those beautiful eyes.

He now also had a face that was disturbing surprise. 

His face wasn't at all threatening. What it screamed was ' You can trust me with anything ' . 

If someone were to give a literal definition of a loving god then he would be the perfect example. 

Gwen went to check on him worryingly.

" Are you ok ?" Gwen asked.

" I just watched children die yesterday, got a new form of weakness. Yeah of course am ok Gwen " Grey said anger oozing out of him and this was evidently seen by the sink getting cracked by his hand .

Gwen looked at him slightly wide eyed and then he just realized what he said. 

' Fucking stupid emotions ' He sighed and looked at her .

" Am sorry, am not feeling well today. " He said showing regret for what he did. He then suddenly smiled and looked at her . 

" Wanna go on a date? " He asked with some slight goofiness 

Gwen didn't say anything and approached him. Before he knew it she was hugging him comfortingly.

" Yo , what the hell are you doing. " Grey asked in surprise.

Gwen didn't say anything and hugged him tighter.

Grey sighed. 

' This is what emotion gets you . Some disturbing hug trying to display her stupid emotions. ' Grey thought.

However on the outside he pretended to smile and hugged her back hopefully she'll want to let go but that proved the opposite and she was more adamant leaving Grey slightly disturbed. 

" I can't understand what you're going through but know am here ok " She said after letting go and looking him in the eye. 

Grey smiled.

" Of course. " 

Gwen nodded as she went to prepare their breakfast. Gwen after finishing her breakfast received a message to go to lexcorp for some presentation.

Grey excused her to go and said he would be fine.

" Watching television is boring" Grey murmured switching of the TV. He got out through the window and started floating. 

He thought about training his newfound powers to get his mind off things and he just had the perfect unpopulated area. 

At first he was floating slowly but he started picking speed as he flew to his destination. 

Upon arriving there, he had not learnt to land do he crashed. 

Normally the speed at which he crashed would have made him splat but to his surprise not a single scratch. 

First it was to test for his original powers.

He couldn't estimate the actual increase as he used google to search the weight of some certain stones.

His strength might have seemed like something remarkable but Peter Parker believe it or not was stronger, the guy just never used his full strength. 

He however was better in the rest and now only few that he knew could compete like captain steroids.

Anyway he didn't mind any of it considering he was a newborn in terms of the gods or at least that's what they said. He was going to get stronger and he was nearly certain by the end of the fortnight his powers would have doubled.

" My name is Jean Grey , or rather my host is. Could you guess my name " She asked before suddenly appearing in front of Grey. 

Their Golden eyes looking at each other. She felt some attraction towards her but he withheld his stupid hormones. 

Suddenly he felt a slight shock then his eyes widened in realization.

" You're Phoenix, an immortal " he said.

" How did I know that?" He murmured but Phoenix heard it.

" It's a trait you or rather we inheritor from dear father " Phoenix said.

" I haven't understood whatever the fuck you meant. " Grey said now relaxed and deadpanning at her. 

" I know you have very much understood it. My brother is no fool after all " She said before reaching to Grey's lips and kissing him . 

At first he was shocked then relaxed and dissolved in it. As they parted, Grey internally cursed his hormones again.

" Yeah I know , it really sucks having to be stuck with some hormonal teenager. " Phoenix said. 

" Did you just read my mind?" Grey asked.

" Of course, you can read mine to though you'll have to practice . So wanna fuck " Phoenix asked.

Grey looked at her as if trying to gage if she's some mad woman.

Phoenix and Grey looked at the sky and saw some golden light descending to New York.

" When you find out who got reincarnated terminate them before they start changing reality. A couple of my avatars have already been enslaved by this reincarnators so kindly do your sister a favor and end them quickly. "

It had been two months since Grey talked with the Phoenix, his self proclaimed sister. Undoubtedly from the Abyss. 

He know could hear prayers of children which were annoying at first but currently he just tuned them out. 

He also learned to lower his divinity which returned his face back to normal.

He quit heroing because he already got enough fear points from the little incident he was involved in. 

He now was currently in Peter's home only Peter wasn't there. 

" How's my favorite girl ?" He asked hugging her from the back. 

May nearly got a heart attack before Grey turned her to face her then kissed her. 

At first she resisted but slowly dissolved into the kiss. 

As they separated May pouted. 

" You meanie " She said as Grey laughed.

" Ok how can I make it up to you . You say it and I'll do it " Grey said. 

May thought for a while before giving her answer.

" Let's go on a date " May said. 

" Yeah that's an impossibility unless you want to be charged with pedophilia" Grey said and saw May look at him angrily making Grey chuckle more.

" Am just joking. I'll make you look like your 17 again then we can go . " Grey said.

May looked at him and sighed. 

" Do I look that old ?" She asked. 

" Nah you actually look like the pinnacle of a mature lady , my kink . But when you go on a date with someone who is known widely in Queens as an underage kid what do you think will happen ?" Grey asked. 

May kept quiet before Grey kissed her and she suddenly felt some changes in her body. 

" Ok , but before that I'll have to prepare myself since a certain someone didn't inform me. "

Over the last two months he kept in touch with May mostly because of his libido. He was hoping for some action which unfortunately she still hadn't offered. 

But he continued to interact with her as she became interesting. She provided him with a way out of his boredom. 

After an hour May finally got out. Her 17 year old form was a model. Those curvaceous body, her long silky black hair and those green eyes. She was a jewel.

" You look beautiful" Grey said standing from the couch he was sitting to receive May who gave him a peck on the lips.

As soon as they got out. Grey grabbed May and started flying . To say May was shocked would be an understatement. 

" Ah! Please don't drop me " She said out of fear. 

" How the hell would I drop my girlfriend " He said as he continued to fly. 

May was hyperventilating and had her eyes closed. 

" We should go back , am afraid of heights. " May said. 

" Relax am here " He said soothingly.

He stopped flying upwards then told May to open her eyes. May reluctantly opened her eyes only to see the beautiful stars not being shrouded by the clouds. 

" It's beautiful" 

" Of course it is , just like a certain someone. " May blushed slightly. 

After two minutes of staring. May broke the silence.

" Can we go back , am still scared of heights." May asked. 

" Sure let's go to the movies , which movie would you like to watch ?" Grey asked as they descended .

" I don't know, we'll figure it out at the movies." May said.

They landed on an alley away from prying eyes then walked to the movies nearby. 

They finally picked a movie on romance, cliche right?

" Movie tickets for two " May asked the cashier. The cashier looking at May couldn't help but blush . 

"O-of course" He said as he gave the movie tickets to her who proceeded to hold Grey's hand as they walked to the movie which started a few minutes ago. 

The duo found a seat . 

Grey then proceeded to remove popcorns out of nowhere and some beverages. 

" Where did you get those ?" 

" A magician never reveals his secret. " Grey said.

May just rolled her eyes and accepted her popcorn. 

The movie was filled with cliche romance which Grey always predicted making him bored but what he didn't predict was the one of the lovers betraying the other to save his family while his lover dies. 

" Perfect " Grey couldn't help but comment at the ending. 

May was distraught with the ending and she wasn't alone. She was quiet for some while before talking.

" So how did you think about the ending?" May asked still slightly disturbed.

" It was realistic, the MC was realistic. He used his lover to save his sister despite knowing his lover would die " Grey said.

This made May frown, this wasn't even close to what she expected him to say. This made her get a glimpse of her boyfriend's character.

" Oh don't look at me like that. If your closest family member were to die but you could still use me to save them with me dying, you would have done the same right?" May lowered her head. 

Grey gave her a brief kiss. 

" I would still love you even after choosing him. " Grey said. 

The two walked back to May's place where Peter still hadn't arrived. 

" Where's Peter, I should call him. " May said but was stopped by Grey . 

" He's with MJ , he asked me earlier today how he should spend the night with MJ to solidify their relationship. " Grey said not explaining more.

" So what did you tell him ?" May asked.

" What do you think I told him ?" Grey asked looking at May, making her feel slightly uncomfortable. 

" Kiss her well ?" May asked.

" No , something better" Grey said anonymously. May suddenly blushed knowing what she said.

Her blush slowly turned to something else 

" How about we cement our relationship too " She said .

She approached Grey and kissed him . The kiss got longer and sensual as Grey slipped his fingers to her breast. 

Amidst kisses they entered May's room and into the bed. 

* 3 hours of intense battle later * 

May collapsed in Grey's embrace not wanting to continue furthermore. 

" Am tired Grey , you're a beast" May said. 

Grey embraced her naked body . 

" Sleep well " and just like that she slept. 

As Grey slept with her she heard a voice in his head. 

' You really enjoyed her body didn't you ' He was all to familiar with the voice.

' Apparently not enough, anyway I got updates on the reincarnator '

' He's 27 years old man . 6'1 , Has blue eyes and blonde hair. Beware of your sex toys being close to him as he has a system known as supreme Harem system. He has started some game company so keep an eye out of a game manufactured by Nova enterprise.' Phoenix communicated.

' So you can't get close to him ?' Grey asked.

' Exactly ' She replied.

' Don't worry I'll talk to him and if push comes to shove I'll eradicate him. ' He said.

' Thanks lil bro. '

May woke up feeling very sore on her body . She then recalled what happened and a small blush escaped her face. 

She looked beside her and saw Grey had disappeared. She was slightly disappointed before she heard her door open and Grey come with breakfast. 

" Breakfast for the missus" Grey said. 

May felt warm in her heart .

" Thanks Grey. " 

" Your welcome. " He waited until she tasted to ask how it was. She replied it was good as she melted on the food 

" Peter will be back in three minutes May . So I'll have to go " Grey said portraying a saddened expression.

May nodded feeling even more warm in her heart.

' His even saddened to part with me. ' She thought. 

" I promise to give you another date very soon my love " He said as he kissed her. 

He then disappeared quickly in May's eyes. 

10 kids were stuck in a cold and dump prison. Their eyes looked as if they had given on life except one. 

The only one who didn't lose hope was 12 year old boy with green hair who was currently kneeling seemingly praying.

" God , if you're there please help us. Help us get out of here. " He muttered.

After his seemingly short prayer he stood up and looked at his fellow ' prisoners ' . 

" Guys let's get out of here , with our powers combined it's possible. " He said.

One the kids looked at him . She has an 11 year old kid with snow white hair.

" We can't, just give up Jack unless you want to end up like Connor " She said her eyes looking as if she was begging him. 

" Connor was a lone but we ... " Jack said as he looked at the rest.

" We are together , if we combine our powers we can escape. 

Lisa can control the magnetic field meaning she can disable any electronic thing 

John has super strength meaning he can beat the guards. 

You Mercy have ice manipulation you can trap the guards 

I can erect force fields to protect us from any stray bullets.

If we work together we can escape. " Jack said stirring the hearts of his friends.

" Do you really think we can stop them ?" A red haired girl asked. 

" Of course Lisa , with teamwork we can so what do you guys say ?" He asked.

The kids were quiet as they looked at each other. They slowly nodded their head agreeing to the plan. 

Jack beamed up . 

" Alright let's do this . So here's the plan to get out of this Hydra base " He said as he spoke enthusiastically about the plan.

" This just in the prisoners in cell 300 have escaped. This just in the prisoners in cell 300 have escaped. All troops to capture the kids alive . I repeat no kid should die. " The speaker yelled.

The 10 kids were running with the guide of Magnus who could use echolocation apart from earth bending. 

" There they are " A soldier shouted as he together with others shot tranquilizer darts to the kids. 

Jack erected a force field stoping the tranquilizer darts while Mercy used her ice powers to freeze them. 

They continued running Magnus pointing the way until they reached a dead end.

It was a large gate that led outside.

" Magnus what the hell " One kid screamed. It was understandable as he was scared. 

Magnus looked at Lisa and Lisa knew what to do.

" It will take time though just hold the guards " Lisa said as she raised her arms and closed her eyes . She started using her powers to push the gate but it was quite heavy and was putting a strain on her. 

Meanwhile the guards had arrived and the kids were fighting the guards in good coordination.

Suddenly Magnus sensed something and told everyone to regroup behind Jack and for Jack to erect a barrier. 

Jack did that and something suddenly exploded on the barrier. 

This pushed Jack back he held on. 

The soldiers stopped shooting and paved way for two people.

A middle aged man carrying an RPG and a blue coloured creature that made the kids hearts beat in fear. 

" Oh you poor kids thinking you can actually run away " The middle aged man said sarcastically. 

" You actually think that you kids can actually escape don't make me laugh. So who's idea was it ?" He asked. 

The kids looked at him defiantly. If they go down they all go down . That's what they thought. 

Meanwhile didn't stop as she continued her work. 

The middle aged man clicked.

" Kill them Bimbo" The middle aged man .

" But sir , " one of the soldiers wanted to protest but one look at him made his stop.

The blue colored creatures eyes started heating up and suddenly he released heat vision.

Jack acted first and erected a barrier but it pushed him to edge he was starting to nose bleed.

Mercy used this chance to throw the ice spikes at the creature but it didn't stop and started moving towards them . 

The kids followed Mercy and the long and mid fighters started using their powers to try and stop the creature while Jack protected them from its attacks. 

" Fight harder " one of the kids said as they did their best. 

Meanwhile was slowly losing conscious.

' I can't fail yet , not yet ' He thought. 

The middle aged man grinned knowing well who's going to win. 

Jack's barrier finally failed and the laser being pointed at him hit him as he fell down. 

Everything stopped even the creature. It was as if time froze . 

Mercy seeing this screamed and ran to Jack who was having a hard time breathing. 

" No no , you can't die " Mercy said . 

The creature had stopped at the orders of the middle aged man who grinned at what he Saw.

" M-Mercy p-p-protect . .... everyone . " Jack said as he breathed his last. 

' As I go please God protect my friends ' Jack thought as his eyes lost the color of life 

" Nooooo !!! " Mercy said as she looked at the creature and was about to chanel her power when. 

Suddenly the giant gate flung open. 

They all looked to the gate thinking Lisa was the culprit but they stopped when they saw a floating 17 year old teenager with a look that promised death .

" So who summoned me ? " Grey said looking at the kids. 

His eyes slowly glowed to golden . He looked and saw one of the kids is dead. 

" Ah, I see his dead " He said nonchalantly.

" Who killed him ?" He asked once again. 

Mercy looked at the blue creature and Grey noticed then. 

Grey sighed. 

" Am in a good mood so I'll forgive you guys as long as you release all the kids , you can keep the adults. " Grey said.

" Who the hell are you to order us , Bimbo kill him. " Bimbo jumped to Grey with an explosive force but he suddenly stopped mid air.

" So you have chosen death. " Grey said as he clenched his fist and Bimbo got crushed spilling the blood to the kids and some of the soldiers.

The middle aged man gasped in shock . How could one of their greatest creation die so easily.

" Kill him !! " He shouted. 

The soldiers shot bullets to Grey but they suddenly stopped. 

The bullets piled up in front of him then suddenly went back to the soldiers at twice the speed killing all of them except one.

The middle aged man held Lisa hostage who was weak. 

He slowly backed away.

" Stay away or am going to kill her . " He shouted fear evident in his eyes.

Lisa seemed scared. 

Grey descended and looked to the scared eyes of Lisa. 

Suddenly his eyes looked so comforting from those eyes that promised death 

" Don't worry little Lisa . You're going to be fine. " He said with a smile that seemed innocent and suddenly the head of the man exploded .

Lisa got sprayed with blood and jumped away from the man . 

He now remained with the kids . 

His smile turned to that one of loving and care. 

" Are all of you ok ?" He asked. This question was genuine which surprised the kids even Grey himself got slightly surprised.

" We're fine but Jack died. " Mercy said as she looked at her dead friend.

Grey approached Jack and touched him. Suddenly he was dressed in a good outfit. 

" I am sorry for your lose , I truly am and I wish I could help but I can't resurrect the dead " Grey gave his consolation making the kids cry. 

" But all of you should stand proud for having a friend such as he. Live life and save people such as he saved you guys. " Grey said.

... Half an hour later .... 

A jet landed near the base and the X-Men got out. 

The kids were in a sombre mood as they had buried their friend and savior.

The X-Men approached them.

" You're late. " Grey said looking at Jean but his gaze didn't last long as it landed on Rogue.

The X-Men suddenly turned full combat mode apart from Jean and Rogue who looked shocked.

" Stop , stop guys his a friend " Jean stopped the group. 

" You know him ?" Scott asked with a hint of jealousy.

" Yes , he's my , um Phoenix friend " Jean said making the group shocked. 

Grey sighed and as he stood.

" Regardless my job here's done take care of the kids or I'll come for you guys " He said as he stood and was about to fly off when. 

" Wait !! " Lisa shouted.

Grey looked at Lisa. 

" Will we see you again?" Lisa asked. 

Grey gave her a smile. 

" Of course , how about I come and see you next week " Grey said and Lisa nodded.

He then turned to all of the kids. 

" Promise me that you won't pursue revenge" He said looking at the kids in a brotherly affection.

They nodded except for Mercy.

" What !! Jack needs to get Justice. " Mercy shouted. 

The X-Men looked at Mercy with sympathy. They had seen mutants join the dark side due to revenge.

" Don't worry Mercy hell get justice " Grey said the last part darkly. 

" You have me to do that work so you won't do it right ?" Mercy nodded. 

Grey smiled .

He then looked at Rogue then sneered before flying off with a sonic boom. 

Meanwhile Anna looked like she saw a ghost.

Bobby seeing Rogue's downcast look asked him what was wrong.

" Nothing , just a ghost from my past . Let's help the kids " Anna said as she approached the kids.

Grey landed at his room. 

He seemed angry. The reason for his bad mood was Rogue. 

He changed his clothes and walked out to take some food.

Jesus Christ he was even about to stress it. 

As he closed the fridge he saw Gwen . 

They looked at each other before Grey sneered and walked off. 

Gwen's original thought was to ask him why he skipped classes but seeing his eyes she seemed afraid. 

She wanted to pursue him but knew he needed his free time.

" Um Grey ? " It was Gwen. 

" Can I come in ?" Gwen asked and she heard a click a second later. 

She saw Grey sitting on his bed looking blank just like the day he got adopted.

" Are you ok Grey ?" She asked. 

" You know today I had the most horrible day of my life. " Grey finally said. 

Gwen was flabbergasted he didn't know what to say. 

" Apparently am a god of destruction and children and one of my said effects is hearing kids prayers. " Gwen was shocked.

' Was Grey high ?' She thought. 

" Today a child known as Jack Simmons prayed to a god , I heard his prayer but ignored it. When I saw maybe I should see what was going on I found out he was dead . I felt ... Sad " Grey said.

Gwen kept quiet and approached Grey . She hugged him and Grey accepted the hug.

Slowly as if he couldn't hold it any longer he cried. The first time in a very long time. 

" How could she do this to me ? When I needed her the most she left ? She ran away without me !!! " Grey said with sadness.

Grey sobbed until he fell asleep in Gwen's arms.
