"Frieza!"
The Supreme Kai of Time froze, her eyes widening in shock. That name—it echoed through her mind like a nightmare she thought had been buried long ago. She knew it all too well. But why? Why would Frieza be working with Towa? What twisted alliance could have brought together the tyrant emperor and the demon scientist?
"We need to leave—now! This space is collapsing!" Raditz's sharp command cut through her spiraling thoughts.
Chronoa snapped back to reality, realizing the dimensional walls around them were fracturing like shattered glass. She bolted from the crumbling pocket dimension, her mind still reeling from the revelation.
The moment Lady Chronoa emerged empty-handed from the collapsing space, the gathered warriors felt their hearts sink. One look at her face told them everything—whatever they'd hoped to find was gone. Trunks immediately turned to Chronoa, searching her expression for answers, for any shred of hope she might offer.
But Chronoa had her own questions. The instant she cleared the dimensional threshold, she whirled on Raditz, her voice sharp with urgency. "How could it be Frieza? He's supposed to be—"
"Dead? Yes, he was." Raditz's expression darkened. "Originally, he was sent to the underworld where he belonged. But when that Janemba incident happen, Frieza used it to break free from death itself. He escaped the afterlife, and he never went back."
Chronoa's jaw tightened. "You're saying Towa brought him back to life?"
"From what we've seen, Frieza and Towa are working together now. And the one who stole the Time Egg..." Raditz paused, letting the weight of his words settle. "It was Frieza."
"That's impossible!" Trunks interjected immediately, his voice rising in protest. "If it really was Frieza, there's no way I couldn't have caught up to him. You said it yourself—the thief was someone stronger than me, right? Frieza couldn't possibly—"
"I never said Frieza's current strength was weaker than yours." Raditz's tone turned deadly serious, his eyes meeting Trunks' gaze with unwavering certainty. "Frieza possesses an extraordinary ability to evolve. His power level at this very moment could very well exceed your own."
Raditz chose his words carefully. If Frieza had truly achieved that golden transformation he'd witnessed in other timelines, the word "could" would be far too generous. It would be a certainty.
A collective gasp rippled through the group. The weight of that possibility pressed down on them like a collapsing star. Faces grew pale, expressions darkening with each passing second.
The grim reality settled over them like a funeral shroud. There seemed to be no path forward now—nothing to do but wait for the demon god to fully awaken and watch as chaos consumed the multiverse. Even the Supreme Kai of Time stood frozen, her legendary composure shattered. Her mind buzzed with half-formed plans and desperate calculations, all dissolving into static noise.
Meanwhile, in another corner of the multiverse, Towa had successfully evaded pursuit. She materialized in the heart of the Demon Realm, her sanctuary, her stronghold.
With trembling hands born not of fear but of anticipation, she placed the Time Egg in the chamber's center—the most sacred position in her entire operation. She couldn't wait any longer. After all this time, after all these years of planning and scheming and failing, she was finally here. The waiting was over.
The Time Egg pulsed with incomprehensible power. Within its crystalline shell swirled the multiverse energy of countless timelines—fragments of shattered realities, pieces of worlds that never were and worlds that might have been. Most were incomplete, fractured remnants of possibilities. But deep within its core lay something whole, something vast enough to accomplish the impossible.
Enough to resurrect Demigra.
Towa watched the egg's surface shimmer and shift, her breath catching in her throat. Years. So many years of setbacks and close calls, of watching her plans crumble at the last moment. But now, finally, she would see the fruits of her labor.
As long as she could harness the Time Egg's energy, Demigra—sealed at the end of time itself for over seventy-five million years—would walk the multiverse once more.
She cursed herself silently. Why hadn't she discovered this magnificent artifact sooner? How many years had she wasted?
Regret and exhilaration merged into a single burning emotion as she gazed at the radiant egg. With delicate precision, Towa wrapped it in a cocoon of purple energy, feeling the vast power straining against its shell, desperate to burst free and flood the realm with its might.
Simultaneously, she began the ritual. Drawing upon the full power of the Demon Realm itself, she channeled the dark energy toward the seal at the end of time, working to shatter the ancient bonds that held her master captive. The final phase of her grand design was finally in motion.
"Come on... come back to me, Demon God Demigra!" Her voice rose to a fever pitch, echoing through the cavernous chamber. "When you return, the Saiyans will fall! The Supreme Kai of Time will fall! Everything—the entire multiverse—will bend to our will!"
Towa's cold laughter filled the air as black mist swirled around her body. The power of the Demon Realm erupted from her in waves, reaching its absolute zenith.
The Time Egg responded. Its surface cracked with veins of light as the seal at the end of time began to fracture under the assault. After seventy-five million years of imprisonment, the great Demon God Demigra was finally stirring. In the space between moments, in the cracks of reality itself, his consciousness awakened. Slowly, inexorably, he began to claw his way back to existence.
"Come! COME!" Towa shrieked in ecstasy, her body twisting as she threw her arms wide, as if she could physically pull her master through the barrier of time itself.
The temporal seal shuddered violently. Under the overwhelming energy contained within the Time Egg, space itself began to tear. From within the dimensional rift, Demigra's roar echoed across realities—a sound of pure rage and triumph that shook the foundations of the Demon Realm.
And then he emerged.
A powerful, immeasurable presence burst through the seal, forging a direct path to the Demon Realm. Towa's breath caught in her throat, tears of joy threatening to spill from her eyes.
The figure that materialized before her was magnificent and terrifying in equal measure.
He stood tall and powerfully built, radiating an aura of absolute dominance. Wild crimson hair cascaded down his back like a waterfall of blood. Intricate tribal markings adorned his face—ancient symbols of power and conquest. Earrings similar to those worn by the Supreme Kais dangled from his ears, a mockery of divine authority. A ring-shaped golden ornament crowned his forehead, glinting with malevolent purpose.
He wore robes of deep midnight blue that seemed to absorb light itself, and in his hand, he gripped a segmented scepter topped with a ruby that pulsed like a beating heart.
Demigra. The Demon God himself, returned at last.
Towa's heart hammered against her ribs. Even though she was the architect of his resurrection, even though this was everything she'd worked toward, she found herself trembling before this unprecedented force. A small voice in the back of her mind whispered a question she dared not speak aloud: What have I unleashed?
"HAHAHAHAHAHA! SEVENTY-FIVE MILLION YEARS!" Demigra's laughter exploded through the chamber like thunder, his voice high and bright and terrible. "AFTER SEVENTY-FIVE MILLION YEARS, I'VE FINALLY RETURNED!"
The wild, manic laughter continued for nearly a full minute. Demigra was lost in the pure, overwhelming joy of freedom. How could he not scream? How could he not roar his triumph to the cosmos? Imagine being imprisoned for seventy-five million years—sealed away in an endless void at the edge of time itself. Every grievance, every moment of that eternal sentence, came pouring out in that primal cry of liberation.
When his laughter finally subsided, he turned his piercing gaze to Towa. "You're the one who kept communicating with me across the void? You're Towa?"
"Yes, Lord Demigra." She bowed her head, trying to hide the tremor in her voice.
"I owe you my gratitude. Through your efforts, I've absorbed the energy of countless timelines. The Supreme Kai of Time thought she could hold me forever, but I've returned stronger than ever." A confident, predatory smile spread across his face. His deep crimson eyes gleamed with the absolute certainty of conquest. "Nothing can stop me now."
Those blood-red eyes fixed on Towa with an intensity that made her blood run cold. The weight of his gaze was suffocating—condescending, measuring, evaluating. For the first time since beginning this mad endeavor, Towa wondered if she truly understood what kind of monster she'd released upon the multiverse.
"Seventy-five million years..." Demigra's expression shifted, warmth draining away to be replaced by glacial fury. "All the debts that need settling—I can finally collect. That bastard Supreme Kai of Time—I'll make her experience what I endured. I'll seal her at the end of time and space. Not just for seventy-five million years... for one hundred million years!"
The temperature in the Demon Realm plummeted as Demigra's killing intent flooded the space. It felt as though the very air might freeze solid.
"And then there are those meddlesome Saiyans," Towa interjected, seeing her opportunity. "They've been obstacles at every turn, even more troublesome than the Supreme Kai of Time. Especially one Saiyan named Raditz. He's become a Supreme Kai himself now and he's constantly working against us. He's a serious problem."
"A mere Supreme Kai dares to stand in my way?" Demigra snorted dismissively, his voice dripping with contempt.
"He's not an ordinary Supreme Kai," Towa warned carefully. "His power level is... exceptional."
"HAHAHAHA! It doesn't matter who or what he is—none of them can escape their fate!"
Demigra's sinister laughter filled the chamber once more. The scepter in his hand flared to life, the ruby at its tip casting psychedelic patterns of light across the walls. With a casual gesture, he tore open reality itself. A strange dimensional space materialized before them, expanding rapidly until it was large enough to swallow them both.
The ease with which he manipulated space-time energy made Towa's own abilities look like a child's tricks. The demonstration spoke volumes about the vast gulf between their power levels.
"What is this?" Towa asked, unable to hide her curiosity.
"I need a bit more energy to perfect my return," Demigra explained, his tone casual despite the magnitude of what he was suggesting. "After that... I have a magnificent plan in mind."
He spoke with the casual arrogance of someone who believed the entire multiverse already belonged to him. Without waiting for a response, he strode into the dimensional rift, his laughter echoing through the unsettling void beyond.
Towa hesitated for only a moment before following closely behind, stepping into the creeping, unnatural space that her master had created.
Whatever came next, the multiverse would never be the same.
