Chapter 468 - 468: The Birth of the Dragon God (2/2)

A sacred and overwhelming Ki radiated from Uchiha Chiga, so powerful that even Vados, an Angel herself, instinctively lowered her head in reverence.

Champa, who had been snoring away peacefully, stirred at the sudden surge of divine energy. The air was thick with heat and pressure. As his eyes cracked open, the sight before him nearly made his heart stop.

"C....C...Chiga!?"

Champa scrambled to his feet, but before he could stand, a single glance from Chiga sent him collapsing back down with a heavy thud.

Sweat poured down his face as he struggled to breathe.

"What… what kind of pressure is this? He wasn't this strong before!"

The staff in Vados's hand trembled lightly, and a familiar, calm voice echoed from within.

"Vados! What's happening there? Why do I sense such an immense Ki?"

It was the Grand Minister.

Vados knew there was no point in hiding it now. She replied steadily,

"Grand Minister, it appears that the Super Dragon Balls have been… absorbed by this man, Uchiha Chiga."

"What!?" The Grand Minister's composed tone faltered for a moment. "That power can be absorbed?"

"Yes," she confirmed softly. "That is the current situation."

"Incredible… truly incredible."

The golden light surrounding Chiga slowly receded as he walked toward Vados. Without hesitation, she handed him the staff.

The Grand Minister's presence could be felt through it, his voice filled with quiet awe.

"Uchiha Chiga?"

"It's me," Chiga said calmly. "It's an honor to meet you, Grand Minister."

"The honor is mine. I never imagined someone could attain the power of the Super Dragon Balls themselves. Should I call you… Dragon God now?"

Vados's eyes flickered with admiration as she gazed at Chiga. The title fit perfectly—the overwhelming divinity he radiated was unlike anything she had ever witnessed.

Chiga smiled faintly. "It seems I've earned an official title. I wonder, what rank does a Dragon God hold?"

The Grand Minister chuckled softly. "Your status transcends even the divine hierarchies we know. If possible, I'd like you to visit the Grand Priest's Palace. We should meet."

"No problem," Chiga replied.

"Good. Vados, bring Lord Chiga with you when the time comes," the Grand Minister said before the connection faded.

Champa hadn't dared to move a muscle during the exchange. He felt utterly insignificant—weak, small, and helpless before this divine pressure.

Finally, Vados turned toward him. "Lord Champa, what are you doing kneeling there? Didn't you sleep well?"

Champa awkwardly climbed to his feet, rubbing the bump on his head.

"Maybe I got up too fast," he said nervously. "Could someone please explain what's going on? This…" He gestured weakly toward Chiga, his voice trembling. "How did this Lord Dragon God end up here?"

"I brought him," Vados said simply.

Champa froze. You brought him!? You brought this walking disaster here!?

His gaze fell on the six glowing Dragon Orbs floating behind Chiga, each radiating divine heat. The sight left him speechless.

Chiga smiled lightly and approached. The moment he did, a scorching wave of Ki rolled off his body, forcing Champa to step back instinctively.

"W-what does Lord Dragon God wish to do?" Champa stammered. "I'm not looking for a fight! If you want a battle, go find Beerus—he's stronger than me!"

The irony of his own words struck him—normally, Champa would never admit Beerus was stronger. But right now? Pride meant nothing in the face of that kind of power.

He called Chiga "Lord Dragon God" aloud, but in his heart, he already viewed him as something far more dangerous—a divine calamity given form. If they ever fought again, it wouldn't just be a nap this time; it'd be total annihilation.

But Chiga wasn't interested in fighting. Instead, he crouched slightly and began petting Champa's head.

The God of Destruction froze, eyes wide. His fur stood on end, but he didn't dare move.

Compared to the rigid, sharp-tempered Beerus, the round and clumsy Champa felt almost… like a cat.

From Vados's point of view, the scene was absurd—Champa, the great God of Destruction, looked like a household pet being doted on by Chiga.

Champa glanced at Vados helplessly, silently begging for rescue.

Vados cleared her throat and said,

"Chiga, we should return. There's still one Super Dragon Ball we haven't located yet."

Chiga nodded, then turned to Champa.

"Champa, Vados will be accompanying me for a while. You'll be fine here alone, won't you?"

Champa nodded furiously, not daring to argue. He could barely keep his voice steady.

"Of course! Take your time, please!"

Truthfully, he couldn't care less. Despite being called "Lord Champa" by Vados, he knew who the real master was. Without her around, he'd actually have more freedom.

And judging by how willingly she followed Chiga, it was obvious she had no objections. If he tried to protest, he'd probably end up facing a two-on-one divine beatdown—and he wasn't that suicidal.

Vados smiled and waved cheerfully.

"Well then, Lord Champa, I'll be off now."

She moved naturally closer to Chiga, and he responded instinctively, wrapping his arm around her waist.

Just as Vados was about to use her ability to teleport them back to the Seventh Universe, Chiga stopped her.

"Vados," he said softly, his eyes gleaming with gold, "this time… let me take you."

She blinked, surprised. "Eh?"

Before she could react, Chiga's body pulsed with divine energy, and a pair of enormous, radiant golden dragon wings unfurled from his back.

He pulled Vados tightly into his arms and whispered,

"Hold on. It might be a little fast."

Vados nodded, her composure slipping for once.

A golden light exploded around them as Chiga's wings beat once. The shockwave blasted Champa off his feet, slamming him back into the ground. The God of Destruction's temple quaked violently, cracks spiderwebbing across the marble floor.

When the dust settled, Champa sat up groaning, staring at the fractured temple in despair.

He wanted to cry but no tears came. Without Vados's help, how was he supposed to fix this place? Destruction was his domain, not repair!

"This is all Beerus's fault," he muttered bitterly. "If that idiot hadn't provoked Chiga in the first place, I wouldn't be stuck in this mess!"

Clenching his fists, Champa took off toward the Seventh Universe. He'd beg Whis to help him repair the temple—or maybe he'd just crash at Beerus's place until further notice.

At his speed, though, it would take quite a while.

Meanwhile, Chiga and Vados had already arrived in the Seventh Universe—faster than Vados could have ever managed on her own.

They hovered above a crimson planet suspended in the void. Vados's eyes widened slightly, still dazed. She hadn't even realized they had arrived.
