Chapter 31 - 31

After the reminder, Professor McGonagall ignored Ivan and officially started today's lesson - using the Transfiguration Spell to turn any personal belongings into buttons.

For Ivan, whose Transfiguration spell had been upgraded to level three, it was of course a piece of cake. With a slight wave of his wand, he transformed the feather pen on the table into a round button, on which you could vaguely see beautiful circular patterns. In order to get extra points, Ivan had already used the Transfiguration spell to its fullest extent.

Professor McGonagall, who was passing by, bent down and carefully examined the buttons that Ivan had finished.

Her body swayed gently in front of Ivan, and her black robe clung to her curvaceous figure. Ivan couldn't help but notice the white neck and collarbone exposed at the collar of the professor's shirt, as well as the faintly visible ravine.

Professor McGonagall sniffed it gently, as if trying to determine the material of the button. She bent down slightly, making the shirt fit tightly against her body, outlining her curvy figure.

Ivan was a little stunned. He never thought that the strict Professor McGonagall would have such a charming side.

Professor McGonagall carefully examined every detail of the button, then nodded with satisfaction. Her thin lips curled up slightly, a hint of approval flashed behind her glasses, and she reservedly gave Ivan a point.

But other young wizards don't have such strength. Being able to successfully cast the Transfiguration Spell is considered a very good level, and the buttons can be transformed into various strange shapes.

Seamus Finnigan, who was sitting not far in front of Ivan, directly exploded the ink box used for transformation, and the black ink sprayed all over the face of the young wizard next to him.

Ivan even saw a young wizard secretly tearing off a button from his clothes, trying to pretend that he had made it himself. Unfortunately, Professor McGonagall was not old enough to have Alzheimer's disease, and she easily recognized the difference. In the end, he was punished by standing at the door.

After seeing Ivan's wonderful Transfiguration spell, Professor McGonagall's standards were raised a lot. Except for the buttons Hermione made with paper balls, the rest were really hard for her to accept.

Professor McGonagall clapped her hands, drawing everyone's attention.

"Everyone, please stop performing Transfiguration magic for a moment. Does anyone know what the key points of casting the Transfiguration spell are?" Professor McGonagall said.

"Professor, the Transfiguration Spell is a kind of advanced magic that requires the caster to imagine the desired transformation in his mind. The more similar the shape of the object being transformed is to the object being transformed, and the closer their properties are, the easier it is to transform successfully. In addition, transforming a creature is much more difficult than transforming an object. Only a very small number of wizards who are proficient in the Transfiguration Spell can complete the transformation of a creature..."

"Ivan Hals, I thought I reminded you..." Professor McGonagall had already formed a conditioned reflex, and subconsciously wanted to scold Ivan, but when she turned around, she found that Ivan was raising his hands properly and staring blankly at the other side.

"Granger? How could you?" Professor McGonagall then realized that the person who answered the question was the usually well-behaved Hermione Granger.

Although Miss Know-It-All was shaking with nervousness at this moment, she still tilted her neck and spoke calmly.

"Professor, am I right?"

"Of course... and it's very comprehensive. However, given your behavior, I can't give you any extra points." Professor McGonagall was so shocked that she stuttered a little, and it took her a long time to let Hermione sit down.

Hermione looked a little disappointed, but when she saw Ivan with his hands raised in a daze, a smile appeared on her lips.

Ivan slowly put down his raised hand, his mind full of doubts. He wondered if he was dreaming or if the person in front of him was a fake Granger?

Like Ivan, Harry and Ron also felt that something was wrong with Hermione, so Ron couldn't wait to complain as soon as the get out of class was over.

"What happened to Hermione? I saw her standing up in Professor McGonagall's class today without her permission. Oh my God, I think Professor McGonagall must be shocked."

As Ron was talking, he wanted to listen to Harry and Ivan's complaints, but there was no movement for a long time. Curiously, he turned around and found Hermione right behind him.

"Hermione..." Ron said in surprise.

"I just want to win back all the house points that were deducted before. Besides, this does not violate the school rules of Hogwarts. Professor McGonagall will understand!" Hermione first glared at Ron, and then looked at Ivan hesitantly.

"Ivan, I heard from Ron and Harry that you came to see me yesterday on purpose, which is why you encountered the troll. Anyway...anyway...thank you!"

"It's nothing. Aren't we friends?" Ivan said with a smile.

Although Ivan somewhat blamed Hermione for her sudden appearance and disrupting his plans when fighting the troll yesterday, he also knew in his heart that it was more of a mistake in his choice of venue. Fortunately, the final result was not bad, so Ivan did not take this little episode to heart.

"Yeah..." Hermione nodded with a smile, and then continued, "I will work hard next time and earn back the lost credits as soon as possible!"

Ivan now had a headache. If Hermione worked hard, wouldn't his plan to earn academic points by answering questions and improve his Potions studies be greatly compromised?

"Didn't Professor Dumbledore only deduct ten points from you? You've already made it up in the previous class, right?"

Ivan was very confused. Is it necessary to be so entangled about just ten points? Compared with the house points Hermione had earned by answering questions in the past half semester, it was not much.

"To be precise, up to now, a total of 67 house points have been added." Hermione emphasized. At this point, the young witch stared at Ivan resentfully for a long time. If it weren't for Ivan's shameless answers during this period, there could have been more.

"Then why still..." Ivan asked puzzledly.

"I remember you said that you would make it back tenfold or a hundredfold." Hermione looked at Ivan and said with a smile.

Ivan was suddenly speechless and wished he could go back a few weeks ago and strangle himself for talking nonsense.

Throughout the rest of the journey, Ivan tried his best to persuade Hermione to give up the idea of disrespecting the teacher, but unfortunately it was of little use. Miss Know-It-All, who had made up her mind, did not seem to intend to change her plan.

Finally, as they chatted, they found out that the topic of study came up, and Ivan was surprised to find that Hermione, with her extraordinary memory talent, had better theoretical knowledge of some subjects than he did.

Of course, this was also related to the fact that he had spent half of his academic points on the training ground in the Room of Requirement in order to improve his practical skills in the past few weeks.

Even so, Hermione's knowledge reserves are terrifying enough.

Harry and Ron followed behind but couldn't get a word in because they couldn't understand a word of what Hermione and Ivan were talking about.

Or maybe they know each word individually, but they don't understand them together…

Is this the conversation between top students? Harry and Ron always felt that they were redundant...

[Ding, after a period of study and discussion, your proficiency in basic spell theory has improved slightly.]

Ivan, who was chatting with Hermione about the principles of spells, stopped abruptly when he heard the prompt sound in his mind. He called up the system bar and saw that his proficiency in basic spell theory had really improved by a few points.

This suddenly gave Ivan a bold idea...
