The group tried walking calmly as they made their way to the mana train station.
"Oh, God, they are still following us. What if they get into the mana train with us and follow us home?" Joe asked with a shaky voice.
"Calm down, bro," Henry said.
"Calm down? What if they have guns or weapons on them? What if they shoot us? I don't want to die, I am too young to die. I am still a virgin, I can't just die yet without popping my cherry," Joe said.
"Bro," they all said at once.
"Sorry, sorry I was just nervous," Joe said.
"I think we should shout for help," Casper said.
"Do you think that's a good idea? If we shout they will know that they have been noticed," Cassie said.
"I think they might have already noticed with the way Joe is acting. They would have to be brain dead or retarded if they haven't noticed." Casper said.
Meanwhile the pursuers were having a conversation with someone on the phone.
"Ma'am, I think they now know that we are stalking them, the blue hair guy especially seemed to be scared shitless," a bald guy with muscles and tattoos all over his body said. He seemed to be the leader of this set of people.
"Blue hair? That should be Joe, that spineless bastard. Good job, keep following them, scare them some more and report to me if anything happens," a feminine voice said.
If Casper and the rest had heard the voice, they would've recognize it, as it belonged to Amara Nelson, the Bella of Avaddon Academy.
"Okay, ma'am, we will keep you updated," the bald guy said.
Amara Nelson hung up the phone with a sly smile on her lips.
'After I am done with you guys, you won't dare mess with me again,' Amara Nelson thought.
The group kept walking and by now both groups knew that the other was already aware of their presence.
"Let's shout for help," Joe said nervously.
Before they could shout for help, they saw a patrolling police officer; their eyes immediately brightened as they dashed towards the officer.
"Mr. Policeman, we are being followed by a group of hooligans and I think they might have guns or dangerous weapons on them," Joe said as he held on to the officer tightly.
At first, the policeman was shocked, but he quickly regained his composure back in a second.
"Where are they?" The policeman asked as he scanned the surroundings.
"There they are," Henry said, pointing at a couple of rough-looking men.
The bald man and his gang stopped before turning around to run.
"Shit, those little fucks ratted us out," the bald man muttered as he ran.
As the officer saw the group running, he narrowed his eyes as he gave chase while barking orders to the fleeing suspects.
His name tag showed that his name was Daniel.
"Hey! Stop right there!" the officer shouted, already reaching for his radio as he gave chase.
"This is Officer Daniel, I need backup immediately! Suspects fleeing on foot near Central Mana Station—four individuals, possibly armed. Repeat, possible weapons involved. Send units now!" he barked into the radio.
The officer's boots pounded the pavement as he raced after the gang. His other hand hovered near his belt, ready to draw his baton or taser if needed. The streets were busy, but people quickly moved aside as they noticed the commotion.
A voice was heard responding from the radio. "Roger that, Officer Daniel, stay on their track, backup is on the way."
"Affirmative," Officer Daniel said.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! This officer is pursuing us," the leader said.
One of the goons pulled out a gun, aiming at the chasing officers, but the leader was fast to stop him.
"Are you crazy? You want to shoot an officer of the law? Do you have a death wish or something?" The gang leader shouted with an angry voice.
"Sorry, boss," the one who brought out the gun said.
The gang leader snorted in response. "He's only one, and we are four."
"Oh, should we beat him up?" The one from earlier asked.
"What the fuck Jeffrey? Were you dropped on your head when they gave birth to you? Why would we fight with him, you idiot?" the leader asked.
"But you said that we were four while he is only one," a new voice said, this new voice belonged to Ben, one of the hooligans.
"Yes, boss Danso, that was what you said," another voice said. The voice belonged to Tom, one of the hooligans.
"I am surrounded by idiots. You guys are lucky that I am busy right now, if not I would have shoved my boot down your asses," Boss Danso said.
"Sorry, boss," they all shouted.
Boss Danso took in a deep breath. "As I was saying we are four and he's only one, we should split up to make it hard for him to catch us,"
"Ohhh! That's what you meant," the three said at once.
Boss Danso resisted the urge to curse as he dashed into a separate path from the rest.
'Damn idiots, those motherfuckers. I don't even know why I hang out with those dumb fools, all I can do is hope they don't get caught and rat me out.' Boss Danso cursed internally while fleeing.
"This is Officer Daniel; where's the backup? The suspects are splitting up," Officer Daniel barked into the radio.
"Backup is on the way, Officer Daniel, they will be there in T-12 minutes, hold on," a voice said from the radio.
Officer Daniel gritted his teeth before randomly choosing one of the suspects.
As fate would have it, Officer Daniel chose to chase after Boss Danso.
"Stop, raise your hands in the air," he shouted at Boss Danso, who just kept running.
