"Fuck, you might be right. I coincidentally haven't actually seen her since my husband passed, and I focused on my modelling career again." Rowena replied in realisation before the pair of them continued towards the mess hall.
"Haha," Adam laughed before asking, "I take it that succuba are one of the long-lived races since you called Aphrodite an ancient and powerful back when we arrived on Oceana Seven?"
"Indeed, though the way they maintain their long life severely limits their population numbers."
"What do you mean?" Adam asked, but before Rowena could respond, they entered the mess hall and were greeted.
"Adam," Tephe said happily and waved at him as she was the first to notice him enter with Rowena.
"You're finally awake," Stacey said with a happy smile.
"How did the procedure go? Any issues?" Lorelie asked with concern.
"Didn't Spector keep you updated?" Adam asked curiously.
"She did, but I still want to hear your opinion on how your body feels," Lorelie replied.
"I feel fine, just hungry. I will head to the training room after eating to test my upgrades out." Adam replied as he moved towards the food dispenser.
After grabbing some cereal and sitting down on one of the couches, Adam turned to Rowena before saying, "Getting back to our conversation,"
"Are you sure you want to talk about her in front of your girlfriends?" Rowena asked with her signature smirk.
"Her who?" Lorelie asked suspiciously while Stacey shot him a suspicious look.
"You just like causing chaos, don't you?" Adam asked with a sigh.
"When you've lived as long as I have, you sometimes need to find or even create your own entertainment."
"If you say so, anyway, out of the two of us, aren't you the one who needs to be more wary of Diva Aphrodite?" Adam asked, causing Rowena's smirk to lessen.
"Diva Aphrodite, why are you talking about her?" Stacey asked suspiciously.
"The conversation we had just seemed to bring her up, but more specifically, Rowena was about to explain to me why the Succuba race has limited population numbers."
"Well, first of all, they are a race of exclusively women, so in order to reproduce, they have to mate with males of the other races." Rowena began, but was immediately interrupted by Adam, who choked on the mouthful of cereal he had just taken and started coughing.
"Hey, you ok?" Lorelie asked as she and Stacey, who had moved to sit on either side of him, started gently rubbing his back.
It took Adam a few moments to get over his coughing fit before he asked in a wheezing tone, "That already raises several questions, like how did they even reproduce before they encountered other races and do pure Succuba even exist?"
"Calm down there," Rowena said with a chuckle before continuing, "while it is unusual, they are not the only unisexaul race in the universe.
As for how they reproduced before they encountered any of the other races, well, they were not the only race that came from the planet Eccinda; the Nagareen race did also."
"You mean that race we encountered on Trillion that steals technology? Does that mean the succuba looks like them?" Adam asked in surprise and disgust.
"Haha, no, they don't," Rowena said with a laugh before explaining, "Eccinda is a strange planet in that one half of it only has two hours a day in sunlight, where the rest of it is darkness, while the other half is the opposite.
The succuba race comes from the side of darkness, and the nagareen from the side of the sun, so they therefore evolved differently. This is why they look so different, the succuba are generally a race that prefers the darkness, and their bodies changed to suit that climate, whereas the nagareen have a similar appearance to the Herpolisk…" As Rowena mentioned, the Herpolisk race Tephe hissed loudly, causing the group to look at her before Rowena continued.
"While they don't slither on tails like the Herpolisk race, but instead walk on two legs, they do have a snake-like appearance to the face and are cold-blooded since they evolved in a climate that was almost always bathed in the sun's warmth.
Apparently, the succuba race was initially asexual when they first came into existence, and it was only after they encountered the nagareen race that their biology changed over the following several millennia until they could mate with each other and the nagareen. However, instead of evolving into two different genders, they all became female.
Now, regarding your other question about 'pure succuba'. Officially, no, it's impossible for a succuba to be born 'pure' or one hundred per cent succuba since they are born from the intercourse between a succuba and a male of a different race; however, there is a strange occurrence that surrounds succuba children that scientists, even to this day, with all the medical tech avalible, have never been able to work out.
Let's say a succuba produces a child with a Terran. If the child is born female, then they will be succuba; however, if they are born male, they will be Terran."
"Wait, wait, wait, you're saying that a female child is always born as a succuba, while the male is always born the same race as his father?" Adam asked in surprise.
"That's correct," Rowena replied.
"That's crazy, how is such a thing even possible?" Adam asked in shock as he forgot that Rowena had already answered this.
"As I said before, we don't know. All we know is that on the rare occasions a succuba does birth a child, this is what happens."
"Rare occasion? Is this related to why their race has limited population numbers?"
"Correct, first off, only female children born from succuba have a chance at being succuba, which already diminishes their numbers. Then, there is the fact that for a succuba to extend their life, they have to feed on the life force of other races, and they do this through sexual interaction.
Succubi can extend their life through sexual interaction with both men and women; however, it is more effective with men because of the male sperm you eject when you ejaculate inside a woman. The succuba can subconsciously control what her body does with that semen. In rare cases, they will allow it to follow its natural course and attempt to impregnate one or more of her egg cells. However, their normal reaction would be for their body to absorb the male's sperm and use the life essence they contain to extend their own life.
With women, the action is not as effective because other women are not directly injecting sperm into the succuba's body; in these cases, the succuba has to drink the fluids a woman releases in order for their body to absorb the life force. However, the life force gained is minimal since women's ejaculation fluids don't contain sperm or even the egg cells; the little life force it has amassed came from its proximity to any egg cells before release."
Adam gaped in shock as Rowena finished her explanation, having completely forgotten about his cereal, making the girls laugh and giggle at his response.
"Hehe, I suppose this is all new and shocking information for him," Lorelie said after covering her hand and giggling.
Eventually, Adam managed to overcome his surprise before asking, "So what you're saying is that the reason for succuba's limited population numbers is because they are forced to decide between extending their own life and creating new life?"
"Basically," Rowena nodded before adding, "This is also why mature succuba who have gained control of their desires, like Aphrodite, generally only mate with the powerful and successful, since if you're powerful and successful, you're most likely from a race that has a strong lifeforce.
Also, as an interesting sidenote, the succuba race is actually one of the founding twelve races that helped form the universal senate."
"That means that a succuba was one of your ancestor Kavita's twelve mates, right?" Adam asked in surprise.
"That's correct, though unfortunately, the succuba in question died many centuries ago, and because she was the mate of Kavita, who was also female, they never had a child."
"How did she die?" Adam asked.
"In a space battle. After Kavita entered eternal sleep, her lovers went their separate ways, with the succuba joining an exploration ship that searched the unknown regions.
During one of their missions into the unknown regions, they encountered a fleet of space pirate ships. Even though their ship was more advanced, they were severely outnumbered and in the end lost, while everyone on the ship, including the succuba, was killed.
"I'm surprised the pirates didn't take her hostage since she was a succuba."
"The pirates in question were from the unknown regions and so did not know what a succuba was; they just killed everyone on the ship and looted the ship," Rowena replied, and right after, Spector spoke up.
"We will be arriving in the Felidae Galaxy in a few moments."
