"Yeah, is there a problem?" Adam replied.
"No, nothing, anyway, next time I will have you help me choose a vampire movie." Rowena replied before returning to the previous subject, "In answer to your previous question. I don't have precognitive abilities, I just know what your next question will be because it's what people always ask me."
"Oooookkkkk," Adam said doubtfully before continuing, "I don't know if I would become one of the longer-lived races if I had the choice, I mean, other than a Brood like you turning me, is it even possible?"
"It is, several but not all of the longer-lived have ways to extend the lifespan of mortals like yourself."
"I see, well, anyway, I don't know if I would accept."
"Why not? There are countless mortals in the universe who would give anything to be able to live forever; that's especially true for kings, emperors or other rich and powerful mortals who are afraid of dying."
"On Earth, the idea of living forever was just a fantasy and make-believe. I guess I still find it hard to wrap my head around the idea of living forever, not to mention I don't know how I would react if I fell in love with a mortal and had to watch her die while I kept on living."
"There, that's the point I was aiming for," Rowena said with a smile before continuing, "To answer your question, I have been married seven times, had twelve children, and thirty-six grandchildren, with Stacey being the youngest."
"I'm assuming they weren't all Terran?" Adam asked.
"Well, that wasn't the question I was expecting," Rowena remarked with surprise, "I was expecting you to ask why I only married seven times in two thousand years."
"Well, I guess your previous question did the trick then. You must have married mortals a couple of times at least, which led to heartache when both they and your children and your grandchildren, who are mortals all, die before you. Though I'm also guessing that you married another Brood or other long-lived race for many centuries."
Rowena stared at Adam in surprise for a moment before smiling and saying, "I'm impressed that you figured that out without me having to tell you. Not many people can do that even after my question."
"Maybe it's because I know what it's like to lose someone you love," Adam replied as his eyes glazed over while he thought back to the cliffside next to the waterfall.
"Jenny Downs? You must have loved her very much." Rowena asked quietly.
"Isn't your first love always special? Also, it doesn't help that she was the only one to accept me when no one else would." Adam replied almost automatically before showing a surprised look at what he said.
"Something wrong?" Rowena asked as she saw the surprised look on his face.
"Just surprised that I answered that, I mean, I have always avoided the subject until now, whenever Stacey or Lorelie brought it up," Adam replied before asking with a smirk, "You didn't use some vampire mind manipulation technique on me now, did you?"
"HAHA, I unfortunately do not have that power, though sometimes I wish I could do that," Rowena replied after laughing.
"I guess I just find you easy to talk to then," Adam replied with a shrug.
"I've been told that before," Rowena replied with a smile before saying, "To answer your question from before, no, they were not all Terran, only my last husband was."
"So why did you marry him if you knew you were going to get hurt when he died?"
"People always do foolish things when in love…. Heh, I feel like I said that recently. Anyway, after what happened with Stacey, I'm not sure I ever want to fall in love again. In my grief, I ended up hurting her far more than I was hurting."
"Sometimes we don't have a choice with who we fall in love with," Adam replied with a small smile.
"Very true, love is one of the most dangerous forces in the universe. Everyone is susceptible to it, even Succuba who have some control over it."
"Control over love?"
"In a way. I'm sure you remember from one of your previous streams about how the chat discussed succuba and how they are supposed to be the greatest sexual partners in the universe."
"I take it you have never been with one then?"
"No, I have never fallen to the temptations of any succuba who has ever tried to woo me, thankfully."
"Thankfully?"
"Think of their ability to enhance the sexual experience you have with them like an addictive drug or even pureblood. Aparently, once you have been with one of them, you find it very hard to find satisfaction in a non succuba again."
"I'm surprised they're not the most hated race in the universe, considering how many relationships they must have ended throughout history."
"They are a race you either love or hate; this is why Becky and the Ororis family, who are part succuba, get so much flak and hate.
"Are part succuba like Becky as addictive as full succuba?"
"Of course not, while they're supposed to still be better in bed than the other races, they're nowhere near as good as a true succuba, especially Diva Aphrodite, who, as one of the most ancient succuba, is known universe-wide to provide the greatest sexual encounters of anyone while also being one of the hardest to resist the allur of."
"The pornstar Diva?" Adam asked.
"Pornstar?" Rowena replied in confusion.
"Oh, sorry, I meant those virtual reality shows she performs in."
"Yeah, that's her."
"She's the one that TISF Leitenant Tessa raised a flag about before."
"Flag?"
"It's an Earth superstition, basically, she said that she hopes I never meet Aphrodite. Her saying that basically guarantees that I will meet her in the future, ugh, "Adam explained before groaning and then added, "Not to mention you also said that I will likely meet her."
"Well, it's true, Divas tend to appear at the same events. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she attends the UMB Cup opening ceremony."
"Why would she attend something like that? Is she into mech's or something?"
"More like their pilots, she often offers herself to the winner of the UMB Cup, though not always."
"There's no way she's ever been in a serious relationship. Also, does she only like successful people or something then?"
"She's had a few failed relationships over her time as a Diva, and before that, though, as you can probably guess, they all collapsed since her other half wasn't enough to satisfy her, and the other half couldn't handle the idea of her sleeping around. And yes, she's admitted to me in the past that she is attracted to powerful, successful and attractive individuals."
"Why would her former partners even consider the notion that she wouldn't sleep around. I mean, I have already seen how bad Becky is in my chat, and she's only part succuba, god knows how bad a full succuba is, let alone an ancient one."
"Maybe they thought they would be the ones to change her and make her only need them," Rowena replied with a shrug before adding, "Though honestly, Aphrodite is not as bad as her rep makes her out to be."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, she only flirts and attempts to seduce those she is truly attracted to, while it's true she does sleep around a fair amount, it is nothing compared to younger succuba who haven't learned to control their desires.
A young succuba who has only just reached puberty will be turned on by just the scent of hormones or anyone they find even remotely attractive. The older a succuba gets, the more control they gain over this urge, kind of like how we Brood learn to control our urge to drink blood.
Aphrodite has reached the stage where, if she is in a room full of people and no one catches her eye, she can control the scent of hormones the other people are directing towards her and act like a normal woman.
She is actually quite a sociable and likeable person if you get to know her."
"I'm surprised to hear you say that," Adam said with surprise.
"Why, because you thought she would be some horny slut like those haters on Xer-verse are always claiming?" Rowena asked with a displeased look.
"No, because you said she's attracted to powerful, successful and attractive people, and that's basically you to a tea," Adam explained calmly.
"Wah!" Rowena said in surprise before her cheeks warmed slightly, before turning her head away with a pout while saying, "Humph, I was right, you really are a playboy."
"Pardon?" Adam asked in confusion.
"Never mind, anyway, you're right in thinking that she has flirted with me in the past and tried to come onto me. However, at the time I was married and made it perfectly clear that I was not interested, so she quickly gave up and we actually became good friends."
"Sounds to me like you need to be more concerned about meeting up with her at the UMB Cup than I do, then," Adam replied with a smirk.
