Cang hesitated for a while, then walked out of the cave and released all his Pokémon: his Shiny Arbok, Nidoking, Hydreigon, Crobat, Houndoom, and Sharpedo. Although his Pokémon were emaciated, their spirits were excellent, and they looked at their trainer with sparkling eyes.

"We're alive! We're alive the moment we fell into hell!" Cang hugged his Pokémon and cried uncontrollably.

Just then, the buzzing sound of a helicopter came from a distance. The helicopter hovered high in the sky, and the strong winds stirred by its rotor blades flattened all the grass on the ground. Cang looked up and saw the helicopter, with the shining 'R' logo reflecting in the sun.

Cang quickly wiped away his tears and pulled up the hood of his long robe, obscuring his facial expression. He patted Shiny Arbok's head, comforting it and telling it to calm down.

At this moment, Team Rocket's helicopter descended directly from the sky. After opening the helicopter's cabin door, a chubby man, whose appearance was similar to Cang's, stepped out before Cang. Both had hooked noses and large eyes, but because of his plump face, he looked like a smiling tiger, not as gloomy as Cang.

"Cang, why did you leave without a word? If I hadn't hacked into your system and decrypted your emails, I wouldn't have known something so major happened to you. Boss Sakaki wants me to take you directly back to Team Rocket Headquarters for treatment." This was Cang's twin brother, Qiong.

Qiong had also lost his usual fierceness, replaced only by concern for his sibling.

"I'm fine, I'm very well. I've been reborn from fire. I want to stay here for a while longer. If you're busy, go back first." Cang recalled his Pokémon. He couldn't let Qiong discover Qing Wu's existence. Knowing his brother, he would definitely try to snatch Qing Wu away.

His brother had always liked to snatch things from him since childhood. He couldn't let Qiong snatch Qing Wu away. Cang even planned to pass on his skills to Qing Wu. The grace of saving his life could only be repaid with immense blessings: becoming a direct member of Team Rocket's hidden operations.

"I will personally go to Boss Sakaki and beg for forgiveness." As Cang's words fell, his communicator emitted a series of beeps. Cang directly activated the communicator's projection, and a 60-inch TV-sized projection appeared in the sky. A man with a buzz cut, stroking a Persian, appeared on the screen.

"Boss Sakaki," Cang and Qiong simultaneously knelt on one knee, speaking in unison. Sakaki looked with a complex expression at his most valiant subordinate. If Qiong hadn't decrypted the timed emails Cang had saved in his mailbox, Sakaki wouldn't have known that his subordinate had been preparing for his own demise and personally choosing his successor.

"Cang, you must recover well. Tell me directly if you need any resources. I won't arrange any work for you for now. Take good care of yourself." Sakaki knew Cang's days were numbered.

"Boss," Cang was about to say he was already well, when Sakaki immediately interrupted him.

"Don't be willful. I've already dispatched Team Rocket's best medical team to Trial Island. They will definitely find a way to develop an antidote."

"Boss, I..." Cang hadn't even finished speaking when Sakaki interrupted him again.

"I've recently found a batch of highly talented Pokémon for you. They will arrive at Trial Island soon. Take some time to receive them. You can give them to someone you favor and train them vigorously."

These words implied that Sakaki had already accepted that Cang was terminally ill and needed to cultivate a successor. After Sakaki finished speaking, he directly hung up the communicator, not wanting too much sadness. This was the decisiveness of a superior, not allowing too much emotion to be placed on subordinates.

In the end, Cang never told Sakaki that his poison had been suppressed. This was because Sakaki simply didn't give him the chance, interrupting Cang's attempts to speak repeatedly.

"I haven't even said that the poison in my body has been suppressed yet!" Cang felt incredibly frustrated and irritable at this moment.

Cang wanted to cry but had no tears. He simply resigned himself to fate. Indeed, after this experience, he too needed to cultivate a successor. Although Sakaki misunderstood, it didn't prevent Cang from accepting the benefits. When Boss Sakaki found out, the successor would already be trained. Sakaki wouldn't say anything, it was just a few high-potential Pokémon, right?

"Qiong, help me prepare these materials." Cang directly pulled out a piece of paper from his black robe.

"Help me collect them all; this concerns my life's safety." Cang patted Qiong's shoulder, then directly stepped onto the ladder and entered Team Rocket's helicopter cabin.

Cang leaned back on the comfortable soft couch, closing his eyes to rest. He hadn't slept well, so he took the opportunity to catch up on sleep. Qiong looked at the dense list of rare materials, feeling a headache, but it was his brother's instruction. His brother probably wouldn't live much longer. He would try his best to fulfill his last request.

When Qiong arrived, he had asked Team Rocket's experts, and they had no solution for this unknown toxin. They had even taken many toxin samples from Cang's Pokémon, but despite their best efforts, they couldn't suppress the toxicity; instead, it increased the toxin's potency.

Qiong held back his tears. He would accompany his brother through his final journey on Trial Island. When he joined Team Rocket, he had already sold his life to them.

The usually cautious Qiong did not notice that the Pokémon, which had been on their last breath and seemed about to die, were actually still alive.

Near the Trial Island volcano.

At this moment, Qing Wu held a map of Trial Island, confirming his location by comparing it with the surrounding environment. Qing Wu had already seen thick smoke rising from the active volcano. Qing Wu walked and marked his location on the map.

Zubat circled above Qing Wu's head, secretly using ultrasonic waves to detect the surroundings. The Pokémon around the volcanic area were generally high-leveled, and Fire-type Pokémon were very irritable, attacking strangers on sight.

Gradually, as Qing Wu got closer to the volcano, the trees began to thin out, and the air became very dry. There was a strong smell of sulfur in the air he breathed.

Qing Wu looked at the Slugma crawling at the foot of the volcano. Slugma was a Fire-type Pokémon, its whole body like a flowing mass of magma. Slugma had a pair of yellow eyes, a pair of flame-shaped antennae on its head, and tear-shaped droppings hanging from the sides of its mouth.

Slugma could move in volcanic areas up to 2600 degrees Celsius. The higher the temperature, the stronger Slugma's reproductive capacity.

Slugma was also an irritable Fire-type Pokémon. The moment they saw Qing Wu, they gathered in large numbers and collectively used Ember.

Looking at the sky full of fiery rain, Qing Wu remained quite calm. Zubat flapped its wings, creating countless wind pillars that swept away Slugma's Embers.

"Aron, no need to hold back, use Rock Blast! Squirtle, use Bubble on Slugma!" Qing Wu released Squirtle and Aron. The two little Pokémon eagerly unleashed their full power. Aron also endured the high-temperature attacks, condensing rock energy.

They heard rumbling sounds. The Slugma, which had gathered together, were startled by the falling rocks from the sky and ran around in a panic, holding their heads. Some Slugma even solidified into black-gray upon contact with Bubble. After a long while, Slugma finally broke free from its surface layer of magma armor and escaped.

"These Pokémon's potential is really poor," Qing Wu shook his head, looking at the screen filled with red aptitude notifications. This was the downside of mass breeding: failure to achieve optimal breeding, and mass breeding only wasted survival resources.

Zubat was the most agile. Even when Slugma spat magma, it couldn't touch Zubat's clothes. After Zubat underwent forced training in 6-level strong winds, its flying techniques were already perfect. Slugma, on the other hand, was disoriented by Zubat's supersonic waves and Tailwind, and began attacking its own companions.

Aron skillfully used Rock Tomb. Since its own speed was insufficient, it repeatedly used Rock Tomb to maneuver. Aron used the raised rocks as stepping stones, moving quickly to dodge Ember attacks.

Slugma was also hit in the waist by the suddenly rising rocks, thrown high by the rocks, and finally fell to the ground, forming a pool of magma. This happened when Slugma fainted and couldn't control its own magma. When Slugma woke up, it would recover.

Squirtle, due to its low level, followed Qing Wu's advice: accumulate resources slowly, then aim for kingship. Squirtle stealthily used Bubble, weakening Slugma's stamina, and occasionally hit Slugma with Water Gun. The evaporation from Water Gun made the surrounding air very stuffy, and even Qing Wu's forehead was covered in large beads of sweat.

Zubat noticed Qing Wu's discomfort and quickly flapped its wings, creating a gust of wind to dispel the hot air. Countless Slugma were knocked out, like cutting leeks, one after another.
