The perspective returns to the Raft. At this moment, with the total release of the Big House prison, billowing black smoke had already begun to rise across the entire Raft facility.
Amidst the black smoke, Janet van Dyne was searching for Hank Pym. She knew that Hank would never use this move unless the situation was at its most critical and irreversible; conversely, once the Raft and the Big House collided, it would be the most dangerous moment for Hank Pym.
Thus, she was flying everywhere within the prison, searching for any sign of Pym.
"Hank? Can you hear me? Are you still there? Where are you?"
Janet spoke into her communicator, but a recent surge of electricity had fried all the electronics. She had no way of knowing if Hank could hear her and could only pray as hard as she could that nothing had happened to him.
However, whether as an Avenger or simply as someone seeking a way out of this place, Janet inevitably encountered those damned supervillains.
She soon ran into an old friend in the middle of a prison break: Ulysses Klaue, the Vibranium thief known as "Klaw." Unfortunately for him, the Raft did not have a habit of locking a supercriminal's equipment in the same cell as the criminal themselves. Consequently, this fellow was currently just an ordinary man with one hand missing.
"Hey, Klaw. I know you probably think you can run for it. Give it up."
The Wasp flew in front of Klaw and delivered a stern warning: "We are in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Unless you wait for the Avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D. to arrive, any prison break is just a plan to go feed the fish!"
Klaw seemed startled, but Janet felt something was not quite right and immediately flew behind him. Sure enough, a massive, thick green hand lunged at the spot where the Wasp had just been hovering.
It was Abomination, Emil Blonsky—Hulk's old rival. Janet didn't think she was a match for Abomination, but she had a good idea. She flew in front of Abomination: "Listen up, big guy. Surrender now, and at least you'll still have coffee to drink every day. Do you understand?"
Upon hearing this, Abomination paused for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"Sorry, lady, but you don't seem to grasp the current situation," Abomination said with a laugh, only for his eyes to be struck by the Wasp's bio-electric sting.
Enraged, Abomination chose to follow immediately, intent on using his fists to prove his enemy wrong. He slammed a heavy punch forward, but the Wasp dodged it with ease. As she evaded, she lured Abomination into chasing her.
She even hid among the ruins of the buildings, guiding Abomination to attack the structures and essentially forcing him to do her heavy lifting.
In other words, the Wasp had provoked him specifically so Abomination would clear a path. Abomination fell for it, smashing through everything in her way.
Then, the Wasp encountered a new supervillain—the Absorbing Man.
A girl she didn't recognize was fighting him. Scarlet energy radiated around the girl, preventing the Absorbing Man from getting close. She forced the Absorbing Man to be encased in this power, making it difficult for him to even touch other materials, thereby hindering his ability to transform.
After all, the Absorbing Man could not absorb pure Chaos Magic. Could there really be a universe where an Absorbing Man could absorb Chaos Magic and even use that power to kill Thor?
Surely not, right?
"Watch out!" Janet cried out. Upon hearing the warning, Wanda quickly dodged. Seeing Abomination, who had been lured there by Janet, Wanda released her control and watched as Abomination and the Absorbing Man slammed into each other.
"It's good to see a friendly face in this place, even if we haven't really met," Janet said, introducing herself as Abomination and the Absorbing Man tumbled over one another. "I'm Janet. You can call me Jan or the Wasp."
The other party quickly introduced herself as well: "My name is Wanda Maximoff. Ms. van Dyne, I know you, uh, actually..."
Seeing the girl's hesitant expression, Janet was curious, but she set it aside for now. "I suggest we leave quickly. Obviously, these two won't stay down for long."
Looking at the state of the Absorbing Man and Abomination, Wanda agreed that leaving was a good idea, and the two departed together. Along the way, Janet finally learned of Wanda's origins. The girl was actually the little princess of Genosha.
This made her think of Spider-Man, who had gone to Genosha, and she couldn't help but ask: "Did Spider-Man come as well?"
"Yes, we split up to stop the criminals, but there are far too many escaping prisoners, and our communications are heavily disrupted—"
As they were talking, a whirlwind swept past, and Quicksilver appeared before them. Seeing Janet, he turned to his sister: "I did a sweep and knocked out everyone I could. I can't do much about the ones that are left for now; do you want to go help?"
"This is my useless older brother," Wanda sighed helplessly. "A mutant whose biggest function is running fast, and that's it."
"Actually, it's running very fast," Pietro said with a slight smile. "I can check this entire prison in a few minutes, even in this mess."
The Wasp's mouth hung open, and then she suddenly realized a very important matter. she pleaded with the young man before her: "Can you help me find Hank Pym? Uh, he might be the same size as me right now, wearing a red suit and an ant-shaped helmet... If he's lying on the ground, remember not to step on him!"
Quicksilver's expression briefly turned very strange before he sped away. Before Janet and Wanda had even rested for three minutes, Quicksilver returned with news that wasn't exactly good.
"Some bad news: the little spider is in a bloody fight with the enemy. If you can, I hope you two can go help." Quicksilver added, "Also, I didn't see the person you mentioned. Of course, it's possible I didn't look closely enough, so I don't know if he's there or not."
Quicksilver sped off again. After his departure, Janet and Wanda continued forward while taking down the remaining supervillains. By the time they reached the main gate of the Raft, a series of booming sounds echoed from the entrance. The reinforced gates began to deform rapidly, announcing the terrifying strength of whatever was behind them.
Then, the gates were burst open.
"It's clobberin' time!" The Thing smashed through the door and stepped inside. The Fantastic Four had arrived from afar, adding a new possibility to this state of emergency.
But at the same time, Peter—with a significant portion of his abilities suppressed—was still battling the Sinister Six.
