Kimi's POV
I couldn't hide my surprise when Kolton actually agreed to give me a tour. The last thing I wanted was to spend more time around him, but my mother's encouraging nod left me no choice.
I let out a quiet sigh. "Fine."
Kolton and Alvin walked ahead while I trailed behind like an afterthought. The moment we left the formal sitting area, both guys seemed to shed their polite masks. Their shoulders relaxed, their conversation became more natural. It was clear they'd been performing for their parents.
My gaze kept drifting to Kolton despite my best efforts. My wolf stirred restlessly in my chest, whimpering with longing.
"Stop it," I whispered internally. "He means nothing to us now."
But she wouldn't listen. She never did when it came to him.
"So Kimi, I heard you just hit eighteen," Alvin said, glancing back at me with genuine interest.
Kolton's expression remained bored, staring straight ahead like I didn't exist. I forced myself to focus on Alvin instead.
