Elian's POV

"Gods of death have mercy!" He screeched in a panic, his blood running cold as he crouched low on top of the thorn wall, closing his eyes and fearing the worst.
The torrent of green flames from the titan witch drew near until he could feel the heat prickling on his skin, threatening to rip him to ash if it hit him.
[Well... It's been a fun ride. See you in your next life, maybe?]
Before Elian could gather enough to curse the system, a powerful gust of wind hit him instead of the searing hot flames.
BOOM!
An explosion echoed, deafening and forcing Elian to grit his teeth from the pressure.
But then—
'Open your eyes.' a familiar voice whispered in his mind, filled with reassurance.
Elian slowly opened his eyes, his gaze falling on the battlefield just in time to see a flickering red wall of energy shielding him and the thorn wall.
