Rosaline's POV
I glanced at my appearance in the mirror and smiled with satisfaction.
"You look good, my lady. Are you going on a date?" Sonya, my handmaiden, mused as she clasped the gold chain around my wrist. "Perhaps, Mr. Smith?"
I scoffed. Anthony Smith was my newest suitor—and a loser. Well, they all were. And they were wasting their time. I wished they would just understand that instead of trying all sorts of tricks and sending expensive gifts to win my heart.
My heart was for one man alone. Alpha Colton.
"Mr. Smith can go screw himself."
Sonya gasped. "My lady! You shouldn't say such things! He got you such expensive gifts from a faraway land!"
"I sent them back to him," I said and began to walk out of the room. "Don't follow me."
She obeyed without a word, and I got into the waiting car.
I didn't need to tell the driver where I was going—he already knew. They all did. I only ever went to one place if it wasn't the dressmaker's.
