Chapter 6 - Treasure

After diving into the water, a gray energy bar immediately appeared in front of Luke's eyes. This is the time the player can move in the water, which is about thirty seconds. If it exceeds thirty seconds, he will lose blood, and if all the blood is gone, he will die.

Transform into a seal!

When the skill was activated, Luke instantly turned into a silly little seal. He turned around very smoothly and dived to the bottom of the lake.

There were monsters in the lake, including fish, shrimps, crabs, and snails. Since transforming into a seal had the effect of reducing hatred, and most of these water monsters were between levels 1 and 5, none of them were higher than Luke's level 5, so he did not encounter any battles.

It took about two minutes for Luke to land at the bottom of the lake which was hundreds of yards deep.

Fish were swimming around among the swaying water plants. After searching for a while, Luke saw what he was looking for.

Treasure chest!

This is exactly the effect I want. The server has only been open for about four hours. Who else can find a locked box like I do!

The income from the boxes is no less than that from killing elite monsters. Those treasure chest thieves in the previous life were all very rich.

Get closer and activate the lock picking skill.

Unlocking: 10 seconds to cast, 2 minutes cooldown, opens locked boxes and doors, current level 1/1000.

Lock picking is not an attack skill and can be fully used in the seal state. Luke was very lucky and succeeded in unlocking the door on the first try.

The box was slowly opened, and he reached in to feel around, and found two more things in the seal's little paws.

One of them is equipment.

Crab Claw Wristguards (Bronze): Armor 8, Agility +2, Equipment Requirement Level 3, Durability 9/20.

Attribute equipment!

And it's leather armor suitable for thieves!

The attributes of this bronze equipment in front of him are very good. It is completely suitable for an agile and violent rogue like Luke. After it is upgraded to level three equipment, it will be more efficient to kill monsters.

Looking at another thing, it turned out to be a skill book.

It is now the early stage of the game. Although low-level skill books are relatively easier to obtain, the value of practical skill books is far greater than bronze equipment.

Frost Nova: Instant, cooldown 50 seconds, impact all enemies within 12 yards of the caster, causing 9-11 frost damage to them and freezing them in place for up to 8 seconds. Damage to the frozen target may interrupt this effect, skill requirement level 5, upgradeable.

Fuck!

Luke couldn't help but swear, and it felt like a hundred thousand horses were galloping through his heart.

I just gave Root Three a blank staff with 5-7 damage, which directly offset a skill book. You can imagine how powerful the 9-11 skill damage is. As for this Frost Nova, the damage is secondary, the most important thing is its crowd control!

12 yards, all, 8 seconds, these factors combined together make the Frost Nova skill extremely powerful!

Even two years after the game began, not all mages have this skill.

The level 3 Spider's Lair dungeon is not available, the level 10 Deadmines is also not available, the level 15 Wailing Caverns, the level 25 Scarlet Monastery...

Oh, there is a very small chance that the final boss of Scarlet Monastery will appear at level 25, very very small.

If you have to give it a corresponding equipment level...

bronze?

joke!

Black iron?

You are showing your inferiority!

silver?

No piece of silver equipment can be exchanged for this skill book!

Luke was completely dumbfounded. He had never thought that he could get a Frost Nova from such a low-level treasure chest. He even thought he was dreaming or that there was a bug in the system.

This book alone is worth 20 gold.

The current 20 gold can clear out the savings of all the owners of a large studio or an old guild at once, and leave them with not even a copper penny!

It took him a long time to calm down. He stuffed the skill book back into his backpack and continued looking for the treasure chest.

There are three treasure chests in Moon Shadow Lake, which are randomly refreshed at the bottom of the lake.

If I could release three copies of Frost Nova...

Bang! Luke slapped himself. Get lost in this Frost Nova. Stop daydreaming.

There were a lot of aquatic plants at the bottom of the lake, and elite monsters appeared from time to time, so his search was very slow. It was not until more than ten minutes later that he saw the second treasure chest.

My heartbeat starts to speed up again!

It turns out that the life of a rogue is so exciting. It really is the right career to choose.

Monte's Scythe (Bronze): Damage 15-23, Strength +1, Required Level 4, Durability 12/18.

Another bronze item, and a weapon. This is a two-handed weapon that can be used by hunters, druids, knights, and warriors. The attributes are also very good, the damage is considerable, and adding 1 point of strength is also a top attribute for physical attack professions.

Black bag (normal): container, six slots.

It is also a good thing. In the game Dawn, players only have 10 slots of backpack space when they are born. It is not obvious now, but when the level is slightly higher and there are more sundries, everyone will find that the backpack is not enough.

The six-slot backpack will be refreshed one every day by the grocer in the Novice Village, and the selling price is 80 silver coins. If Luke sells this bag, he can sell it for at least 50 silver coins or even more, provided that someone can afford it.

After opening two treasure chests, Luke had to swim to the surface of the water because the 20-minute seal transformation time was almost over. If he didn't leave, he would probably drown here.

After floating to the surface, Luke quickly changed back to his rogue form, then climbed ashore and found a small demon to kill.

After the seal transformation cooled down, he quietly dived down again.

The third box contained a piece of silk cloth, which was the material for the life skill of tailoring and was not worth much.

Besides, there is a ring.

Ring of Fortification (Bronze): Damage 2-6, Constitution +3, Equipment Required Level 5, Durability 20/20.

Wow, it really makes me drool.

This is the ring. In addition to increasing the damage significantly, it also adds 3 points of Constitution.

Every time a player in the game levels up, their health increases by a certain amount, which is related to their profession and physical attributes.

If you directly increase the constitution, players like thieves and mages will increase 7 health points for each point of constitution, while paladins and warriors will generally increase 10 health points for each point of constitution. This is the so-called growth potential.

It would be a pity to use this ring myself, so I might as well use it for something else. I believe that kid Tel'abyssian will definitely like it.

The next treasure chest would not appear for another 24 hours. During the rest of the time, Luke could only kill monsters to level up. He did not kill the lesser demons, but went back to kill the night blade leopards, obviously hoping to get a copy of "Transformed into a Cheetah".

Unfortunately, he didn't get any skill books until he reached level three, which was six hours in game time and midnight in real time. Apart from some furs and the like, he only had one piece of white mail armor.

The sky in the game begins to darken. According to the official explanation, the game enters an 8-hour darkness every day, from 0:00 to 8:00 in the morning. Visibility in the wild is reduced by half, and all leveling areas are randomly refreshed with Night Walkers.

The Night Walker is a special monster, which is ten levels higher than the highest level of the participating players. It has high attack, high defense, and high health. Moreover, its health recovery speed is incredible. Only when weapons with the tearing attribute appear can players compete with it.

This setting is mainly for the player's physical considerations.

Virtual technology is indeed advanced, but it still cannot completely solve the problem of players' rest.

At this time, it is not worthwhile to risk your life to kill monsters outside. After all, if you encounter a Night Walker and are killed, you will lose 40% of the experience of your current level, and the death penalty is twice that of a normal death.

Of course, there are countermeasures to every policy. Rich people will hire cannon fodder. If they send out night walkers, the cannon fodder will attract the monsters, giving the financiers plenty of time to escape.

Luke did not go against the system. He went back to the village obediently and set up a stall in the open space in front of the inn with most of the players.

Judging from the way those people in the Moonblade Guild eat, even if he handed the things over, it wouldn't be worth much.

What's more, they didn't even give Luke the treatment of an ordinary gold farmer - that not only requires production tools such as a helmet, but at least a basic salary.

So Luke, a temporary worker, simply set up a stall and solved the problem himself.

Not long after, when the first player clicked on Luke's stall, the scream of this night elf sister made the entire Shadowglen boil.

"Oh my god, am I dazzled? Two...two bronze suits, and there's even a skill book!"
